Angela's Decision


            The film begins with Brent (Xavier Samuel) driving with his father along an old country road. Brent turns his attention away from the windshield for a split-second, and when he turns back, sees a bloodied man in the middle of the road! Swerving to avoid hitting the man, Brent's vehicle collides with a tree, injuring him, but killing his father.Six months later, Brent is planning to attend an end-of-the-year high school dance with his girlfriend Holly (Victoria Thaine). Before he leaves the school, a girl named Lola Stone (Robin McLeavy) asks him out, to which Brent refuses.Ever since the car accident, Brent has not driven a vehicle, and his girlfriend Holly takes him off somewhere to make out...which we see is being viewed by Lola.After being taken back to his place before the dance, Brent's mother recommends he take a taxi to the dance, leading him to rush off with the family dog to a nearby cliff-side. We see that Brent using drugs, as well as having self-mutilated himself with a razor bade he keeps on a necklace.While listening to music, Brent is attacked from behind, and his dog is stabbed. The dog manages to make it back to Brent's mother's place, where Holly had shown up to take Brent to the dance. She attempts to get the dog to a vet, but it dies before she can get there.An impromptu investigation is put in place, and Brent's broken music player is found, but no trace of what has happened to him.Brent then wakes up bound to a chair, finding himself at Lola's house, sitting at a table with Lola, her father (John Brumpton), and a lobotomized woman they call Bright Eyes (Anne Scott-Pendlebury). Lola's father has turned his house into a the school dance of his daughter's dreams, and Brent is to be her date.Lola then takes a syringe and fills it with bleach, before injecting it into Brent's voice box, making him unable to scream or talk. She then begins torturing Brent by forcing him to suck on her finger, and threatening to nail his penis to the chair when he can't urinate. When she makes a threatening comment about Holly, Brent kicks Lola, and manages to escape from his confinement. Lola's father chases Brent outside and up a tree, where he and Lola hurl rocks at Brent, knocking him down.The two bring Brent back inside, and affix his feet to the floor with knives. Lola then reveals via a scrap book, that she has been abducting many boys throughout her life, including the bloody man Brent saw which made him swerve and kill his father. Just like with her previous victims, Lola uses a fork, and carves on Brent's chest, a heart and her initials...before throwing copious amounts of salt on the exposed wounds.After being crowned Queen of her dance, Lola admits to Brent that she is looking for her prince...which isn't Brent, declaring that he is "just another frog". However, Lola confides in her father that he himself is her prince, and the two share a dance.As he watches Lola and her father dance, Brent is able to get to his razor-blade necklace, and begins to quietly use it to cut at the ropes binding his arms together.After the dance, Lola retrieves a dead animal, while her father pulls aside a carpet on the floor, revealing a trapdoor. Unseen by Brent, there are a number of Lola's previous "dates" in the pit under the doors, which have been given the same treatment as Brent, as he can hear them struggling to make sound through their damaged voice boxes, as she taunts them to "sing for their supper."Following the feeding, Lola declares that it is time to lobotomize Brent...something her father has done to her previous dates, but is allowing Lola to do this time.Though she follows her father's instructions, she requests he help her...leading to Brent managing to break free of his restraints, and slash at Lola's father with his razor-blade necklace! Managing to pull the knives affixing his feet to the floor, he then violently stabs Lola's father to death when the old man attempts to attack him! This leads to Lola attacking Brent, who subdues her, and then tosses the father's body into the pit...where the near-starved captives begin to feast on the man's body!Lola then gets up and throws Brent in, followed by her throwing nearby objects at him in anger, before closing the trap door on him. Brent finds a flashlight and hammer that Lola had thrown down, and kills the abductees as they advance on him. Lola then goes and smothers Bright Eyes with a pillow, revealing to us that the woman is her mother.As the night wears on, Holly remembers how Brent had told her that Lola Stone had asked him to the dance. She reports this information to a local officer named Paul Valentine, who drives out to the Stone's house. Seeing bloody marks on the floor inside through a nearby window, Paul breaks into the house to look around.Hearing sound upstairs, Brent throws a number of items at the trap door, getting Paul's attention. As he opens the doors however, Lola appears behind the policeman, and drives a meat cleaver into his head! Paul drops into the basement. Lola then threatens to kill Brent's mother and then Holly, given that he has killed her father. Once she leaves, Brent notices a large pile of bones in the pit. Using them, as well as the bodies, he manages to climb out.Lola then takes off walking down the road with a knife and her scrapbook, planning to carry out her vengeful mission. As she sees a car approach, she recognizes it belonging to Holly (who had gotten curious, and headed out to the Stone's residence as well).Lola hides in a nearby bush, and as the car approaches, she throws her scrapbook at it, causing Holly to come to a stop! In shock from what has happened, Holly is surprised when Lola appears, throwing open the passenger-side door, and attempts to stab her!Holly manages to crawl away from the car with Lola in pursuit, when a police car can be seen, coming from the direction of the Stone's house. Th car just barely misses Holly, before it swerves, and plows into Lola! Holly clambers into the police car, and is shocked to see Brent. The two embrace tearfully as Lola, severely injured but still not dead, crawls forward, still intending to kill the pair. Seeing her approaching from behind them, Brent reverses the car, striking Lola in the head (presumably killing her).The final scene shows Brent and Holly pulling up to his mother's house, where she embraces her son.

            In the early 1960s the broke and fatherless Fisher family drift across the southern coast of Australia looking for a place they can call home. Jimmy nearly drowns in an accident and becomes withdrawn from the traumatic experience. Elder brother Andy fights to protect Jimmy from tough local kids while their mother, Anna, fights to put food on the table. Andy and Jimmy are inspired by a local surf photographer, JB to create their own surf gear.
After struggling to gain acceptance by the local surf community, the two brothers then struggle to realize their dream: building a lifestyle and business out of the sport they love.

            In New South Wales, Australia, childhood friends Roz (Robin Wright) and Lil (Naomi Watts) and their families live next door to each other. Roz's son Tom (James Frencheville) and Lil's son Ian (Xaiver Samuel), who are both 18, are also best friends, and the four of them spend all their time together.Roz's husband Harold (Ben Mendelsohn) is offered a job in Sydney, and goes there to make arrangements, even though Roz does not want to move. That night, Ian kisses Roz, and although she is hesitant the two of them end up having sex. Tom witnesses Roz coming out of Ian's room. Confused and angry, Tom tries to seduce Lil, who pushes him away, and tells her what he saw. That night, he stays at Lil's house again, and they have sex.Roz goes to Lil's work and they discuss what has happened with their sons. They agree that they both crossed a line, and that it can never happen again. They get together with both of the boys and tell them that things need to end. Ian still has feelings for Roz, and eventually they renew the relationship; they then learn that Lil and Tom never stopped sleeping together. Both Roz and Lil admit that they're happy, and they agree to keep going. When Harold returns, Roz tells him that neither she nor Tom can move with him to Sydney.Two years later.Roz and Harold are divorced, and Roz and Lil have continued their secret affairs. Ian now works with his mother for a successful yacht-building company, and Tom is studying theater. Harold invites Tom to Sydney to direct one of their plays and Tom accepts, staying with Harold and his new family. While in Sydney, he meets Mary (Jessica Tovey), who is auditioning for the lead role. The two begin a relationship, and Lil reluctantly accepts that he has moved on. Roz and Ian are still together, although Roz knows that he will not be attracted to her for much longer. Finally, the mothers agree to end their affairs with the boys. Ian is upset, and storms out.Some time later, Tom marries Mary. Ian meets a girl at the wedding, Hannah (Sophie Lowe), and decides to have sex with her to get back at Roz. That night, he comes to Roz' door and begs to be let in, but Roz ignores him, crying quietly in her room. Ian goes surfing and breaks his leg.At the hospital, Ian refuses to see Roz, but Hannah comes to visit him and nurses him through his physical therapy. They begin a relationship, but when Ian and Tom meet up for lunch, Ian mentions that it is going nowhere and that he'll have to break it off. One day, Hannah shows up at Ian's work and tells him she is pregnant.Another few years pass, and now Ian and Tom are both married, and they both have daughters. Mary and Hannah, Tom and Ian's wives respectively, are blissfully ignorant of the affairs. They all spend a day together at the beach, and while most are in the water, Ian and Roz share a quiet moment. That night, they all eat dinner together, during which Tom gets drunk and takes a walk to clear his head. Ian follows him and sees him having sex with Lil. Enraged, he tells Mary the truth. The wives are horrified, and leave with the children.When Tom returns later, he finds Roz sitting alone in her room, and she tells Tom that she doesn't think that Mary, Hannah, or their granddaughters will ever come back. Lil tearfully insists that she and Tom tried to stop, but could not keep away from each other. Roz has no words for Lil.Time passes, and Ian goes for a swim in the ocean until he comes to a free-floating dock in the water, the same dock where he first began his flirtation with Roz, and Roz and Lil used to swim to as girls. He climbs on board and sees that Tom, Lil, and Roz are there. After telling them good morning, he lies down beside Roz.

After a week, David proposes and they plan to marry in a few days, convinced she is the love of his life. David goes home to England and asks his three best friends to come back with him to Australia for the wedding; however, disaster is just around the corner, as his friends are a nightmare to handle; these include sensible Tom, naive Graham, and recently dumped Luke. Mia's parents, Barbara and Jim are very skeptical about this sudden engagement and Jim doesn't like David due to his friends mishaps and disastrous antics which they are only try to give solutions to an abundance of problems they have caused but only seem to exacerbate the situation. Unknowingly these utterly disastrous problems are actually the solution David and Mia need and also, what everybody else needs...

            The movie opens with a hungover Josh being woken up by Rory. Rory tells Josh he shouldn't have proposed to his sister, Tina. Rory gives Josh his grandmother's hangover drink. Rory says Tina is at the beach, and that she has something for him. Josh sees Tina bending down and picking something up. She turns around and shows him a seahorse. An old man is shown swimming, and Rory who is on his lifeguard board is also shown. A shark is then shown, Josh then a lifeguard on the watch tower sees the old man get eaten by a shark but Rory can't here this. Josh runs to a jet ski and goes to get him, but as he tells Rory; a shark bursts through his board and sends him flying into the water. Josh goes to grab Rory and tries to get him up onto the jet ski, but the shark pulls him under and Rory is devoured. You see Rory's body floating in the water which is then pulled away. You then see Tina sitting on the beach in shock.A year later, Josh is watching TV alone at his house. On TV, it states a shark migration is on. Josh gets up and goes to make coffee; he turns and sees a newspaper article about Rory's death. He then leaves the house, walks to the supermarket he works at. When he gets to the Supermarket, we see 2 people in a car (Doyle and Kirby) discussing a robbery. They drive into the parking lot where Kyle and Heather stop. Heather asks why they stopped there. Kyle grabs her phone, types something , shows her and she says he's bad. Kyle grabs her dog and puts him in the back seat as they start making out. We next see Jaime, who begins to shoplift; she gets chased by a security guard but she hides in the delivery room where she meets her boyfriend Ryan. Ryan says happy anniversary and gives her an iPod which has a playlist. Jaime pulls out sun glasses and gives them to him. Ryan knows she stole them, he tells her to put them back and Ryans boss Pessup walks in with the security guard. Pessup tells her he has called the police and fires Ryan.We next see Josh and Naomi stacking shelves. Josh turns his head and sees Tina with her new boyfriend Steven. As she's about to engage in a conversation with him Steven walks in and tells Josh to go clean himself up. Steven meets the cop he called who is really Jaime's dad Todd. Jaime sees him and says "Oh Shit". We see Heather and Kyle making out and then his seat falls back. Then we see Doyle and Kirby making an agreement about what happens after the robbery. Doyle gets out of the car and Todd sees him putting a gun in the back of his pants. Todd grabs his gun and follows him into the store. Doyle makes his way to Steven who he forces to open a safe but it is empty. Doyle asks where the money is as they walk down towards the cash registers he is stopped by Todd. Kirby the holds a gun to a woman's head and tells him to put the guns down. Ryan walks over to the car that Jaime is in; as he lets her out he says her dad is right. Jaime goes back into the supermarket to get his job back. Ryan walks back to his van where he sees Kyle who is putting his top back on. They clearly know each other. Ryan gets into his van where his battery then goes flat and he can't leave.We next see Josh washing his hands, he hears a gunshot. Josh runs and sees that Kirby has shot someone in the head. Kirby then grabs Tina and as he is about to shoot her a Tsunami happens. The supermarket and car park gets flooded. Kyle, Heather and Ryan are trapped in the car park. Everyone is dead. Only Tina, Josh, Doyle, Kyle, Heather, Ryan, Steven, Jaime, Pessup, Kirby, Todd, Naomi and Neil (Nicholas McCallum) are alive. They try to find a way out when Neil is killed by a 12 foot great white shark, everyone starts panicking. We see Kyle and Heather, who are in their car as they see another great white shark. The wires start to spark and if it hit the water it will kill everyone. Steven goes to turn the electricity off when he drowns. The shark in the car park swims around, smashes the window and the car starts filling up with water. Kyle goes through the sun roof and asks Ryan for help. Ryan tells Kyle he will distract the shark so they can swim to his van, which is upside down; Kyle agrees. Ryan cuts off a hand from a dead woman, puts it into the water so Kyle and Heather swim to his van. Just as Kyle is about to get attacked, he lets go of the dog and saves himself. We return to the supermarket they are trying to get out through the vent. Pessup volunteers, as he gets his head through the vent a large group of crabs come out. The crabs alert the shark which jumps out of the water and bites him in half. Kirby gets knocked into the water and Doyle feeds Stevens other half to the shark so he can save Kirby. Back in the car park, Heather is angry with Kyle for killing her dog. Ryan attempts to climb over to the van using the pipes but falls in. Kyle pulls him up onto the van but is knocked into the water, The shark attacks and kills Kyle.Back in the supermarket, they grab hooks and meat to catch the shark. Josh apologies to Tina because he blames himself for what happened to Rory. As they attempt to catch the shark with the meat, it is realized the shark only wants live bait. So Kirby grabs the hook, puts it through Naomi's shirt and puts her in the water. Doyle doesnt like this, so he stabs him, saves Naomi and uses Kirby as the bait. This move helps them catch the shark. On the way out Jaime hears Ryan banging on the pipes and find Heathers dog is alive. Jaime and Josh go to get them but then they are chased by the second shark. They get on top of Todd's car; Josh grabs Todd's Taser and shotgun. Josh jumps into the water and kills the shark with the shotgun. They get back to the store but as they are about to leave, a tremor happens. The tremor causes the shark to get loose. Josh kills this shark with the Taser. Josh, Ryan, Todd, Jaime, Tina, Heather, Heather's dog, Doyle and Naomi are the survivors. They leave the store, go onto the street and see that the tsunami caused extremely severe damage.The camera follows a bird out to sea where a shark jumps up at the camera.
