Wittie Hughes was born and raised in the wonderful San Francisco, California. She is the 2nd youngest of 9 children with 6 sisters and 3 brothers. With Witty being her name she definitely measured up to the meaning, being the clever humorous person, everyone loves to be around. Music was always her first passion; it started with her doing sing along and then trying to write her own music. Wittie possessed so many talents that since birth we knew she was destine for stardom!Growing up in San Francisco such a diverse city Wittie attended a Chinese immersion school from kindergarten where she became fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. As and social butterfly, Wittie loved acting, singing, dancing and overall entertaining. Her favorite thing was performing in front of whatever crowd that would give her the platform. She loved to travel and see new places where she would vow to get older and come shut down arenas and showcases as an artist. She always found her comfort in writing and began manifesting songs poems even stories day to day. She performed at every opportunity she was given!As an artist Wittie has fine-tuned her talents by attending several programs schools and competitions. She starred in her first play with leading role at just age 12. The play was a domestic violence play where she played the teen in the abusive relationship. The play was her breakthrough landing her a dominate role in the Black Broadway Cinderella play that show cased in San Francisco for 6 weeks! From there Wittie went on to study theater throughout junior high and some high school.Throughout Wittie's life journey she stayed in tune with her passion for music and began self-recording music and showcasing it at shows throughout the US. By time she has turned 20 years old she had already performed in 5 states and 20 different cities. Building her legacy with her talents, there was one art form she hadn't pursued yet, and that kind of art belonged in front of the camera and not behind it. It took the unexpecting passing of her Mother that really pushed Wittie to her full potential to chase her dream of acting and music. One day while listening in to the radio a Casing call commercial kept coming on which hinted Wittie to call and find out more info. With a little hesitation starting out she gave its chance and called to sign up for the audition, feeling he spirit of her mother she knew it was time to fulfill all her hearts desires. No more regrets no more wishing hoping or wondering. Attending that casting call would began to change Wittie's life completely and she could began fulfilling dreams she never thought was possible.In the first month Wittie trained and by her 2nd casting call her landing an Audition for International Modeling and Talent Associations (IMTA) 2017 NY. With a convention so prestigious and nearly 5,000 contestants in attendance to compete, the experience was mind bottling, yet breathe taking because with much preparation and training I won 2nd runner up in a screen test competition along with awarded a scholarship from a very prestigious acting school. The momentum was very exciting and by the last day for callbacks I successfully met several directors and agencies that were interested in either representing Wittie or working with her.Since then Wittie has continued to receive consistent acting and music work she was selected for an acting reel camp along with casted for a pilot series called "7 Hills" that was pitched to Netflix , Hulu and others. For that project she received IMDB credit and is currently working on her SAG. In summer of 2018 opportunities seemed to manifest for Wittie as she released her 1st single debut on all digital platforms worldwide titled "MAMA ALWAYS". The project was produced by Grammy award winning producer named "Alex Cantrall" Wittie submitted to compete in the COAST 2 COAST Mixtape competition in LA edition to launch her new single. Against 24 artists that night Wittie won 1st Place, landing her a spot in the $50,000 Miami Championships. Not long after her release Wittie was booked for summers BET WEEKEND TEEN EXPERIENCE, several performances from Bay area to LA, along with a lead role in a film expected to release fall of 2019. Wittie has recently moved down to the Los Angeles area to be in closer pursuits of her dreams, she has a bundle of new projects coming out on both her music and acting. Wittie never expected to be this much closer to her passion, and plans to work that much harder to succeed.
