            The story revolves around the lives of Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Madhav (Arshad Warsi) and Laxman (Sharman Joshi).Laxman is an intelligent student who is diverted from doing well in college by his mischievous band of friends Gopal, Madhav, and Lucky. Lucky is a mute in the movie. The three friends use Laxman's hostel room for their mischievous activities. Laxman is peer pressured into running a series of scams to earn himself and his friends some money and is punished by being thrown out of college. The naughty foursome then finds refuge in the bungalow of a blind couple, Somnath (Paresh Rawal) and Mangala (Sushmita Mukherjee), who are waiting for their grandson, Sameer, to inherit his paternal grandparents' treasure chest hidden in the old couple's house. Gopal pretends to be Sameer returning from America, and enters the house, while the other three friends sneak in hidden.A cat-and-mouse game unfolds as Laxman's body and Gopal's voice make up Sameer. Each time the blind Dadaji comes amidst them, hilarious situations arise. Enter Nirali (Rimi Sen), the saucy girl-next-door, and the group now have time, place and 'resources' to fall in love. Their individual efforts at winning the lady's heart fail. Apart from their amorous interests, there is a quest for the chest. There is also a gangster named Babli who wants to steal the chest from the couple's bungalow. All his attempts are unintentionally and unknowingly thwarted by the foursome.After the foursome find a chest hidden behind an old painting in the house, despite Laxman pleading not to open the chest, Somnath reveals about Sameer's death to Gopal, Laxman, Madhav, and Lucky. The real Sameer, along with his parents, were killed in a car crash after his father and mother left with him for India to meet his grandparents, after Somnath's son learned that Somnath and Mangala were permanently blinded in a lethal accident. Somnath goes to America and lights the pyres of his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, the ashes of whom he later kept in an urn, as per the Hindu tradition which he kept in the chest. Mangala is shocked to hear the stories, breaks into tears and condemns her husband for lying to her all those years and not allowing her to cradle her grandson or light the pyres, and she also condemns the foursome for tricking her and hurting her feelings. Babli then arrives with his gang and later reveals that he hid the diamonds in the urn Somnath was carrying his grand returned to India and arrived at an airport. Panducharang, an assassin previously sent by Babli as an undercover servant later joins Gopal's team and fights the gangsters off, with the fight finally ending with Gopal being accidentally stabbed by Babli in his behind with a knife, falling unconscious soon after, but not before warning Madhav, Lucky and Laxman to not touch the knife, leaving the three friends in laughter. Babli also falls unconscious after seeing blood flowing from Gopal's behind.After being admitted to a hospital, Gopal finally has the knife removed from his back, and Babli is arrested for his crimes. Laxman, Gopal, Madhav and Lucky are then rewarded with ten percent of the original value of the diamonds for arresting Babli. Nirali then chooses Lucky as her husband-to-be, saying that she found true love and loyalty in him and him alone, leaving the remaining three disappointed.

            Taxi No. 9 2 11 focuses on Raghav Shastri (Nana Patekar), a cab driver in Mumbai who lies to his wife about his job, pretending to be an insurance salesman. One day, he gives Jai Mittal (John Abraham), the spoiled son of a late businessman, a lift. Jai is fighting for ownership rights of his late father's estate. The cab gets into an accident with Jai escaping as he's in hurry. Jai loses the key to the vault containing his father's will in the back of Raghav's taxi.Raghav decides to hide it from Jai, who, in search for his lost item, goes to Raghav's house and tells his wife what he really does for a living. She leaves him, taking their son. Raghav decides to take revenge. Raghav and Jai vow to kill each other in their fight for their properties. When Raghav fails to kill Jai he targets Jai's girlfriend, Rupali (Sameera Reddy). As Raghav chases Rupali she is saved by Jai by hair's breadth. Jai lets Rupali escape and he attacks Raghav. They have a dirty car fight but both survive.Raghav goes to Jai's place. Jai returns to his apartment from a second court hearing regarding his father's estate in defeat, because he doesn't have his father's will. He discovers the will, torn to pieces and pasted on the wall of his apartment. Jai becomes depressed and lonely after his friends leave him. Rupali dumps him, too. Losing everything that used to be precious, Jai realizes the hard-hitting life and starts respecting his father and his work.On the other side Raghav is caught again by police and taken to police station where his wife tells him his real character and problem within himself. Soon, he realizes his mistake. Jai, having realized the value of close ones, then bails Raghav out of jail. Raghav insists they have a drink and they go to Jai's house for one. They find out that they share the same birthday. Raghav gives back his will, which he had hidden in the sofa, and says that he had never destroyed it - the torn will on the wall is a fake. Raghav then goes to the railway station to stop his wife and son from leaving him, but arrives a little too late. He goes back home where he sees a birthday cake on the table. He feels that he is hallucinating, but gets a pleasant shock when he sees his wife and son standing there, singing him a birthday song (and finds out that it was Jai who brought them back).Jai confronts Arjun Bajaj (Shivaji Satam), the friend and custodian of the property of Jai's father, whom he tells that he has realized the value of life and does not want his father's property and takes a leave.

            Aryan Khanna (Shah Rukh), superstar, rules Bollywood with his hit films. His Delhi fan, Gaurav (Shah Rukh), adores, impersonates and mimics him. Gaurav doesn't get even 40% marks in school but runs a cyber cafe which, like his room, is covered with Aryan's posters. His friend and neighbourhood crush Neha (Shriya) visits his cafe and needs five minutes for her US visa form which Gaurav gives her despite it being the day of the annual colony competition where he will mimic Aryan. A few hoodlums also want extra time to watch a blue film but Gaurav beats them up and throws them out, particularly angry when they mock Aryan Khanna.Despite being injured, Gaurav performs at the show and wins first prize for impersonating Aryan's action, love and item sequences. He wants to go to Mumbai to present Aryan with his trophy on the star's birthday and decides to travel with the halwa his parents specially send for Aryan and without ticket, just as Aryan once did, staying in the same hotel room too.On the train, when the TC catches Gaurav, he threatens to leap off and die unless he is allowed to get to Mumbai and meet Aryan. He bribes the hotel clerk too for the very same room that Aryan Khanna once stayed in.It's Aryan's birthday and Gaurav cuts a cake alone for his 'senior'. He joins the hordes outside Aryan's mansion and tries to get past the guards who don't allow him in. Gaurav gets pushed and shoved but yells with delight when Aryan comes to wave at the crowd. Aryan can't hear him but Gaurav sees a news report later which shows how Aryan slapped Sid Kapoor, a hot new star, at his own party.Although Aryan and his wife (Waluscha) laugh over how Sid got slapped for flirting with Aryan's wife, TV reporters call this incident a sign of Aryan's frustration at losing steam. Meanwhile, Sid Kapoor threatens an FIR against Aryan. Outraged, Gaurav decides to take action for his adored star. He visits Sid Kapoor's shooting and delights him with his mimicry, managing to enter his van alone where he ties up and beats Sid Kapoor into an 'apology' video for Aryan.Gaurav sends this video to Aryan via social media but the superstar, whose secretary Sunaina (Sayani) shows this to him, is not delighted. Sunaina (Sayani) rings Gaurav at the number he's sent them and Aryan talks to him, telling him he's sending a car to his hotel for him to visit. Gaurav is delighted - but Aryan instead sends the police to Gaurav.After a chase, Gaurav is caught and beaten up badly by the police. Aryan visits him in jail where he's requested the cops don't file an FIR but let Gaurav go back to Delhi after two days. Aryan meets Gaurav and coldly tells him there's nothing in common between them, his adoration is foolish and dangerous and he won't spare even five seconds to meet him.As Aryan leaves, Gaurav is devastated. He howls but promises himself that one day, the star will chase the fan.Gaurav calmly returns to Delhi where his parents are disappointed that Aryan didn't meet him. Gaurav sells his shop and gets good money. He also collects all his pictures and memorabilia of Aryan and burns these.One year later, Aryan Khanna is in London, practicing for a show, about to perform at billionaire Mr. Bhutiani's daughter's wedding in Croatia, then get back to London. 'Aryan' is shown jogging, then entering Madam Tussauds where fans are taking pictures with his statue. As a little girl spots 'Aryan', he gets mobbed but then puts off people by messing about with the statue and saying it's not like him. When the museum staff tell him to stop, 'Aryan' - who is Gaurav, impersonating him - beats up the security and even takes a hostage to leave the building, melting into the crowd later on.A rude local cop arrests Aryan Khanna for this incident and handcuffed, he spends a night in jail with the dregs of London. In the morning, he gets let off, due to his apartment CCTV footage proving he wasn't at Madame Tussauds at that time. The Indian Ambassador comes to see Aryan but Aryan is quite abrasive as he leaves for Croatia.But Gaurav too is in Croatia where he puts on a beard and gains entry to the Bhutiani wedding as a staffer. On the way to Croatia, Aryan gets a phone call from an unknown number. It's Gaurav who tells him he can apologise and it will be ok - but Aryan refuses. Aryan tells his worried staff that he too is a Delhi boy and can handle Gaurav.Mr. Bhutiani is annoyed at Aryan for coming late to the wedding and spoiling his starry image and speaks to him rudely. Aryan carries on smoothly with his dance show though. Suddenly, he finds a cue card saying 'Say sorry'. Aryan figures Gaurav is in the crew and has a massive check done. While the search is on, Aryan stops for selfies and autographs - but in the main hall, 'Aryan' is dancing with ladies of the family and molests a girl.The Bhutianis are outraged and tell him to leave. They don't buy the real Aryan's plea that it was not him.As Aryan leaves, he sees Gaurav and chases him across Dubrovnic town - but Gaurav jumps into the sea.Back in London, Aryan's show is cancelled after news of him being a 'molester' gets out. With his fans boycotting him and the Indian police also not ready to hear him out, Aryan calls a press conference where he's on a short fuse but tells everyone to be warned of the imposter who is hurting people using his name and face.Back in Bombay, 'Aryan' reaches his own home and enters not from the front, where media vans are parked, but through the back gate where his wife (Waluscha) is reassured after he speaks to her confidently via video phone. His wife runs to hug him but realises this is the imposter and not her husband. She plays along though and goes to get her gun - but finds 'Aryan', who's Gaurav, holding their little daughter in his arms. Gaurav wants to see Aryan's study where he smashes his trophies and wrecks the room but doesn't hurt his wife.The real Aryan arrives and finds his wife shaken. After Gaurav left, she sent the kids to her parents but is still very scared.Aryan decides to go to Gaurav's home now.As news of the imposter spreads, Gaurav feels trapped and avoids his parents' calls. Aryan meanwhile rings him while sitting in his parents' house and tries to reason with him to stop. But Gaurav instead threatens Aryan with harming his daughter. Gaurav's father blames Aryan for not giving his fan even five minutes of his time - but his mother says it's Gaurav's fault for being dazzled by Aryan's success, not his hard work.They sadly mention Neha and the colony competition that's on the same day. Aryan goes there with them - impersonating Gaurav. He meets Neha, who's just got her US visa, and asks for her help. Gaurav is watching the show from across the ground and can't take it when Aryan, as Gaurav, romances Neha on stage. He fires at him and runs away when his parents shout at him.Aryan chases Gaurav across buildings and they have a huge fight. At the end, Aryan tells Gaurav to stop impersonating him and to live life happily as himself with his parents and Neha. But Gaurav tells him he has destroyed his life - but now, he will make sure his name is forever joined to Aryan's.Gaurav jumps off the building and dies.It is Aryan's birthday again and the hordes are outside his mansion. He comes out to greet them - and sees a haunting glimpse of Gaurav in the crowd.

            Set in the 1970's, Om Prakash Makhija (Shah Rukh Khan) is a junior artist in the film industry. He and his friend Pappu (Shreyas Talpade) are trying to become big heroes one day. Om's mother, Bela Makhija (Kirron Kher), inspires and encourages her son to become a hero. Om's whole family consists of junior artists. Om's love interest is the country's heart throb and the star of the film, Dreamy Girl, Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone).During the Dreamy Girl premiere, the pallu (scarf) of Shanti's sari gets entangled with Om's hand. Pappu steals an exclusive pass that belongs to Mr. Manoj Kumar to watch the premiere, but have to run out when the real Manoj Kumar appears. While being dragged out of the theater Om manages to get Shanti's attention and he swoons under her gaze.(He does this alot).During the shooting of film in which Shanti stars and Om is an extra, the set catches fire in an uncontrolled manner. Shanti is trapped inside the set and Om rescues her, hurting himself. After the incident, Shanti comes to thank him personally, and incidentally she overhears Om's love for her. They become good friends. Pappu says to Shanti that Om is a big superstar of south India film industry, and even calls her to watch him during a shoot. A hilarious scene of Om fighting the bad guys & a stuffed tiger in true South Indian style being shot by a fake crew occurs. However, the truth is revealed to Shanti that he is really a junior artist and not a big star. She tells him that she thinks that he is a star to her, and he can ask her to do anything he wants, except jump into a fire. He asks her to spend one evening together.Shanti comes to meet Om hidden in a muslim woman's burkha. Om asks Shanti to bring out her hand and ask for love to anyone she loves. After that day they often meet each other. Next day Om manages to pass security and tries to meet Shanti in her dressing room. He overhears that Shanti is already married to the producer Mukesh Mehra (Arjun Rampal). Mukesh first says that he wants to keep their marriage under wraps as a married heroine is not accepted in tinsel town. Mukesh also tells Shanti that he cannot officially accept this because a rich businessman is financing his upcoming film Om Shanti Om for which he requires 40 lakhs rupees. The truth is he is getting married to the daughter of the businessman. Shanti then reveals that she's pregnant & Mukesh is overwhelmed. Om gets heartbroken and tries to avoid Shanti.One night as Om is sitting near a set of Om Shanti Om he finds Mukesh and Shanti driving in to the set. Unknown to them, Om creeps into the set and sees Mukesh telling Shanti that he has decided to cancel the film and he is going to reveal his marriage with her to the public. He also tells Shanti that he will destroy the set after they have a marriage ceremony on it. Om hears all of this and leaves, unable to hear anymore.After Om is gone, Mukesh changes his behavior and he holds Shanti responsible for his financial loss and sets fire in the set of the film. Om sees Mukesh going away in his car & Shanti trapped inside, crying out for help. He tries to help her, but Mukesh's security guards beat him up. Even after the beating, Om tries to save Shanti by going into the set, but in vain. A blast occurs Om is thrown outside and he sees the set explode, killing Shanti. As he runs for help, he is hit by a car owned by Rakesh Kapoor (Javed Sheikh), a well known actor who was rushing his pregnant wife to a hospital. Rakesh takes him to the hospital, but Om dies.The film moves 30 years on after the incident. Om is reincarnated as Om Kapoor, son of Rakesh Kapoor, who was born right after Om Makhija dies and has a burn mark like the Om sign on his wrist (where Om had a tattoo). He is seen as a rising star, a star's kid, and a rich brat, who is also known as "OK". During the shooting, Om freaks out because of the special effects fire eruptions & it is revealed that he is terrified of fire.Om Kapur sees Om Makhija's mother running along side his car. He does not recognize her yet but she recognizes him. Deciding to move onto a new film project, he has his assistant set up a shoot for the next day. They choose the same burnt studio and set of the old Om Shanti Om. As soon as he sees it, Om gets the feeling that he has been there before. As Om visits the burnt set, he remembers everything about his past life. The Filmfare Award ceremony follows, in which Om wins best actor. During the party that follows, he meets Mukesh now Mikey, who has been a popular Hollywood producer for the past 25 years.Om goes to meet Pappu and Bela, Om's mother. He decides to remake the film Om Shanti Om with Mukesh as a way to trap him into confessing for his crime. During the audition for the role of Shanti, the crew meets Sandy or Sandhya, a look-a-like of Shantipriya who swoons the same way he used to swoon whenever he saw Shanti.Sandy is then trained to walk & talk like Shantipriya. Om lashes out at her when she starts laughing while she's reciting a serious dialogue. He then reveals is story to her & Sandy then says that she would've believed him anyway because she loves him.Om then takes Mukesh to the burnt film set (where he killed Shantipryia) to announce the beginning of the film. Here, Om tries to re-enact the whole murder with the help of the new cast of Om Shanti Om with a young actress who Mukesh often looks at with lecherous intentions. Sandy often appears to make Mukesh believe that Shanti has turned into a ghost & he begins to believe that he's going crazy.Later on at the launch of it's music release, Om does a song & dance number where he reveals the whole story. Suddenly a chandelier hits Mukesh's head, making him unconscious. After he wakes up, he finds there is no one in the set except him and Om. Om faces Mukesh and they started fighting. Mukesh reveals that he knows about the plan & his fake Shanti. Sandy appears and starts to speak lines which were not part of their plan, lines that nobody knew about. She reveals that Mukesh came back after burning the set to take care of her body and buried her underneath the set's floor even though she was still alive. Om realizes that she is actually Shanti's ghost when Sandy & his friends burst through the front door. The ghost Shanti kills Mukesh by making a chandelier fall on him. At the end, Om sees the ghost of Shanti tearfully bid him good-bye. She and runs up the stairs and disappears. It is implied that Om and Sandy (who was never the reincarnation of Shantipriya) get together in the end.

            Dostana is a story about two guys, Sameer Acharya (Abhishek Bachchan) who is a doctor and Kunal Chauhan (John Abraham), a photographer. They bumped into each other while looking for an agreement to rent, and confusion headed towards the same bungalow. However, they were both thrown out because the owner wants to re-rent the apartment to girls only, since niece, Neha Melwani (Priyanka Chopra) stays in second apartment alone. Sameer gets the idea (when a US Soldier, who is a gay, tells them about missing his life partner) that if Kunal and he pretend to be gay lovers, then the owner will agree to let them stay. Kunal initially refuses, but agrees out of desperation. Their plan works and they move in. Over a period of time Neha, Kunal, and Sameer become good friends, hanging out together and developing a good relationship as housemates.One day Neha's boss 'M', short for Murli (Boman Irani) announces that he is resigning from his job as the editor of the magazine called 'Verve' and will also decide who should take his position. In order to impress her editor and get the job, Neha invites 'M' for dinner at her house telling him that she will introduce him to her gay friends. The evening turns out to be a comedy one. But Sameer's mother finds out that her son might be gay and is not pleased. Next day at Neha's office M announces that Abhimanyu Singh (Bobby Deol) will be the new editor. Neha, heartbroken returns home where she is consoled by Sameer's mother. Kunal and Sameer, then help Neha with her on a film project, given to her by Abhimanyu.While Kunal is out of the film for a few days, Sameer takes Neha to supporting role, and they share a film. Later, at a shop, Sameer tries to tell Neha that he acts her in second scene and that he's straight through a fitting room door, but it turns out Kunal was behind that door and heard everything . Murli becomes angry with Sameer and states that he also marry him. As they try to figure out what to do be gay, Kunal suggests that they should both take Neha out to this great palace called Tajmahal that he knows (Neha's Birthday being the next day). Kunal to catch Sameer the address of the "place", which is actually a dance bar. Meanwhile, he and Neha enjoy eating popcorn and see movie at a cinema. Sameer comes to know of this and furiously punch Kunal in the body. Then, Abhi asked her (Mr Abhi) to take them to where they were going and that they could meet up there and so she did. In a party while the trio are enjoying, Abhi re-enters and sweeps Neha to take her out. Then Kunal and Sameer decide to take him off Neha together. They tell Abhimanyu to do ridiculous things in order to take Neha (like asking him to wax his chest hair and wear ridiculous clothes), but their plan unable to work. They then set their love on Abhimanyu's son Veer. They try to make Veer hate Neha. The next day, Neha comes to know that Abhi is going to propose to her at the basketball stadium they will be not attending . At halftime, Neha goes to see Kunal and Sameer, and asks them what she should do as she had no memory about marriage yet. Both of them ask her marry his brother and reveal that they are not gay and are in not love. Meanwhile Veer tells Abhimanyu of his fears and cries saying that he doesn't want him to marry Neha. As Neha tearfully turns out of Kunal and Sameer, Abhimanyu hugs her and tells her that they can't be together as Veer isn't comfortable with that.Later, Kunal and Sameer go to the court to collect their resident permits and realize that they miss Neha, so they go to get her at an office that she is attending. They tried explaining to her but she refuses to see and then Abhimanyu walked away. Kunal asks when they are going to get married and Neha tells him that they broke up because Veer Singh wasn't comfortable with her. They both tell them the truth that they were the ones who made Veer Singh hate Neha and Abhimanyu and Neha furiously try to leave the place. But the guys told the securities to stop them and got on to the stage and told the crowd their story and asked them tell Neha to grant forgiveness. The crowd begs them to do stuff like get on the knees and beg to Neha and give a flying kiss to Neha, when one of them asks them to kiss each other . The guys adamantly refuse to do it when Abhimanyu says that since they are very founded gay, it is the only way they can be forgets. Kunal refuses to do it but Sameer convinces him and tries to kiss him, but loses his nerve at the last moment. As Kunal sees Neha and Abhimanyu starting to leave second apartment,Kunal forcibly kisses Sameer. Abhimanyu is amazed, and tells Neha that the guys were really her best friends, as he wouldn't even done that, not even for her. Neha goes to them and they make up. Then Kunal and Sameer got on their knee pain and asked Abhi to marry their best friend Neha, and he said that he will. After two months Neha,Kunal,Sameer,Abhimanyu are sitting on their first apartment balcony and Neha asks them if they ever had any love for each other during the time they were pretending to be gay. Abu Usman is the head of ISC, a terrorist organization which kills American journalists. While carrying a rally in Ikrit, Usman is shot in the arm by the Iraqi Army. He is taken to the city hospital. Abu Usman holds hostage of the Indian and Pakistani nurses and makes the hospital as his center. USA decides to launch an airstrike at the city to kill Usman. Indian nurse Maria calls the Indian Embassy of Iraq, informing about the incident. The chairman of the RAW, Shenoy, has talks with CIA who give him 7 days of time to rescue the nurses after which they will hold the airstrike. Shenoy feels that only Tiger would be able to rescue the nurses and that too within a period of 7 days. Eight years after the events of Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger and Zoya are living in Innsbruck, and have a son, Junior.Several days later, Tiger is called by Shenoy. He meets his deputy Karan who informs him about the abduction of nurses. Tiger has the whole information recorded in his pen drive but refuses to carry the mission as he thinks RAW would not forgive him. But after Zoya insists him, he sets to carry the mission. Tiger travels to Syria. Karan suggests him the plan and members but Tiger refuses and brings his own gang of RAW members consisting of Azaan, a sharpshooter, Namit a bomb-defuser, and Rakesh a senior- citizen but expert hacker. They reach an oil refinery controlled by Baghdavi and carry out the plan but face difficulty after the arrival of Firdauz, who has the duty of checking the workers. In the hospital a Pakistani Nurse Sana gets caught while escaping by an ISC member which results in her getting shot. One day, Tiger spots Hassan, a child sent by Abu Usman as a human bomb whom Tiger rescues and flees with the help of Zoya and her ISI team members Abrar and Javed.That night, Tiger and his gang set fire in the refinery and pretend to get burned so that they are taken to the hospital. Baghdavi reluctantly agrees to send them after assertion of Firdauz. En route to the hospital, they are joined by Zoya, Abrar and Javed. Firdauz reveals that he is a secret RAW agent working from the past 25 years. They go the hospital while Zoya leaves Tiger to first kill Baghdavi and his troops which she does with the help of some Syrian girls.At the hospital, Tiger orders Rakesh to poison the food served to Usman's troops. On the day of the airstrike, the troops are food poisoned and Usman is angry. Tiger fights and defeats the troops and rescues the nurses from the hospital. Abu Usman holds Zoya in hostage which causes him to surrender. Everyone is captured by ISC and Tiger is tortured in a poison chamber. Tiger flees from the chamber and rescues the nurses and his team but Azaan is shot while fighting. He requests Captain Javed to raise the Indian Flag after the success of the mission. As they escape, they are joined by Firdauz who crashes an oil tanker which kills ISC members. Tiger disguises everyone in the execution robes of American journalists in order for a safe passage out of Ikrit.Tiger leaves to rescue Zoya. As he tries to break the chains in the tunnel, he is beaten up by Usman but Tiger stabs and wounds him in a fierce encounter and moves to rescue Zoya. Zoya insists Tiger to leave her for the verve of Junior. A missile blows the chamber. In the bus boarding back to India without Tiger, Javed raises Indian and Pakistani flags above the bus keeping Azaan's promise and also as a signal of friendship, meanwhile Firdauz takes Usman to a desert in his car and shoots him dead.One year later, Shenoy is called by Tiger from Greece. A flashback shows that Tiger broke the chain and rescued Zoya. Tiger and Zoya have adopted Hassan. Though Tiger goes into hiding once again due to his belief that the RAW will never let him go, he assures Shenoy that he will always be there for his country in trouble.

            Akash (Ranbir Kapoor) lives in New York City; he has bankrupted his company and is in need of $12 million for paying the shareholders, but is unable to obtain a loan due to a stock market crash. He decides to jump off the George Washington Bridge. He meets Kiara (Priyanka Chopra), from San Francisco, who is also suicidal after catching her fiance Kunal (Zayed Khan) cheating on her. Akash and Kiara attempt to kill themselves, but are prevented from doing so by the Coast Guard. Still suicidal, Akash deliberately allows himself to be hit by a car, and Kiara falls on the bridge and breaks her neck. Their suicide attempts are unsuccessful, and they end up in hospital together. When they are discharged, Kiara takes Akash to her apartment because his house has been seized by the bank.The pair try to kill themselves five times, failing each time. Eventually, they make a pact to end their lives on 31 December 2009. With 20 days left before their deadline, they decide to fulfill their unrealized wishes and begin a journey together. Kiara helps Akash find a date and shares with him how Kunal cheated on her. The next day, Akash cleans Kiara's messy apartment. Though he cannot swim, Akash is forced to fulfill Kiara's wish to swim in the cold Atlantic Ocean. However, at sea Kiara falls overboard and Akash rescues her. Their yacht drifts away, stranding them. As the two slowly succumb to hypothermia, Kiara continues telling her story to Akash. They are rescued again by the Coast Guard officer who intervened on the bridge.After returning to land, Kiara's depression continues. She attempts to kill herself by drinking bleach and is rushed to hospital. After she is discharged, Akash realizes his love for her, and tries everything to make her happy. The two venture to Las Vegas, as Akash has never gone on a holiday, and they end up in bed together. Kiara tells Akash that she still loves Kunal. Akash insists that she move back in with her parents and give Kunal a second chance. Akash moves in with his friend and colleague (Joy Sengupta), and plans to return to India on the night of 31 December to start afresh.Akash attends the bank settlement and reconciles with several friends with whom he had fallen out, as well as with his estranged father. Meanwhile, Kiara cannot stop thinking about Akash, and on the 31st she realizes that she has fallen for him. Kunal discovers this and drops Kiara off at the airport. She reaches the bridge, but finds herself alone, believing she will never see Akash again. Just then he arrives. The pair go out to sea to die. Akash throws a beer bottle with a note in it, which Kiara gets and reads before he proposes to her. Surprised, she accepts, and the couple share a kiss while the Coast Guard rescues them. As the credits roll, Akash and Kiara are shown two years later, married with their baby boy.

            The film begins with Shalini (Priyanka Chopra) narrating how much she loved John (John Abraham) despite of knowing he was contract killer and how things might have been different had he not picked up a gun. The film goes into flashback mode and John is shown to be an assassin working for a mobster named Captain (Bharat Dabholkar). Accompanied by two friends Kaif (Murali Sharma) and Bull (Rajesh Khera), he is assigned a hit which he carries out but also ends up killing an entire family which arrives untimely to the house from where the hit was planned. Apart from the adults, one of their daughters gets shot unintentionally by John. He gets traumatized and despite of his friends telling him to move on, he becomes guilt-ridden and explains everything to Shalini, with whom he plans to escape away. The city's toughest cop, Wagh (Shiney Ahuja), starts investigating the murder and in the process, comes close to the surviving daughter of the deceased family.Meanwhile, Captain is attacked by the rival don, Yunus (Vishwajeet Pradhan), and as a result decides to teach the city a lesson by killing the city's top industrialist, top film producer, the cop backing Yunus and Yunus himself; so that everyone else falls in line and no one dreams of becoming another Yunus. He decides that John must carry out this plan of his. To achieve this, he takes Shalini hostage. John is given 36 hours to kill the five targets on the hit-list. John re-unites with his friends but struggles to carry out the hits initially due to still being traumatized. He, however, manages to kill the targets one by one, while his wife tries to escape in order to stop him from killing. Kaif, however, gets killed by Wagh after John manages to kill a few more targets. Shalini slashes her wrist and is admitted to a hospital, where she realizes she's pregnant and manages to escape. She manages to contact John, who arrives to pick her up, only to find himself trapped when she gets taken hostage once again. Realizing that he has been double-crossed, John shoots Bull in front of Captain, who reminds him of the remaining time he has.John meets Wagh and asks for his help in exchange for providing all evidence against Captain, to which Wagh agrees. Along with sub-inspector Naik, he arrives on spot and after a gunfight, manages to free Shalini. John, on the other hand, meets Yunus and his friend, DCP Patil (Aanjjan Srivastav). He blackmails Patil into bringing him Shalini, which he does. However, John kills both Yunus and Patil, escaping with Shalini. A chase ensues, resulting in a rough fight between John and Captain. John manages to kill Captain and his team, but when one of his surviving members tries to shoot, John shoots him and himself gets shot unintentionally by Naik, the same way John mistakenly shot the young girl. He breathes his last near Shalini, who gets shattered by his death.The film ends with the story returning to the present time, where Shalini is happily playing with two kids.

            Former principal Dean Yogendra Vashisht (Rishi Kapoor) has aged and fallen ill. He desires to see the students from his last batch, who were part of the "Student of the Year" competition. Some former students arrive to the hospital to meet the Dean and talk about their regrets from ten years ago in college. They hold themselves responsible for the lively Dean having falling ill. The film then goes into a flashback set ten years back at the college.The richest and most popular guy in the college, Rohan "Ro" Nanda (Varun Dhawan), is the son of a huge business tycoon Ashok Nanda (Ram Kapoor). His father wants him to be a businessman like him and disagrees with his passion for music. Shanaya Singhania (Alia Bhatt), a fashion addict and the most popular girl in the campus is Rohan's girlfriend. She is unsatisfied with her family, as her mother constantly divorces and marries rich men. Shanaya gets upset with Rohan's regular flirting with Tanya Israni (Sana Saeed), another student. Abhimanyu "Abhi" Singh (Sidharth Malhotra) arrives at the college and becomes the classy new heartthrob. Abhi becomes the most popular guy in the college. He plays the role of the perfect student and a perfect man. He is an orphan from a middle-class family, and lives with his aunt, uncle and grandmother. His dream is to become a big business tycoon like Ashok. Rohan and Abhimanyu argue at first but soon become best friends. Rohan introduces Shanaya to Abhimanyu, warning Abhimanyu not to get involved with her romantically.Abhimanyu is invited to Rohan's elder brother's destination wedding in Thailand, which Shanaya and other rich family friends are attending as well. In Thailand, Shanaya sees Tanya and Rohan flirting again and gets even more upset when Rohan is rude to her and sides with Tanya. Abhimanyu tells her that they can teach Rohan to respect his girlfriend. At a party, Shanaya openly flirts with Abhimanyu, attempting to make Rohan jealous. The plan works but Rohan discovers she did this to get him back on track.On the wedding day, Rohan apologizes to her and is easily forgiven while Abhimanyu realizes that he is in love with Shanaya. They head back to India, where the "Student Of The Year" competition, which determines the best student with good logical thinking and is a good sportsperson, commences. First round is the quiz in which Rohan, Abhi and most of their friends win. The second round is the treasure hunt. Abhimanyu and Shanaya's team wins the hunt, though Rohan's team also qualifies. Abhimanyu's grandmother falls sick and eventually dies. Shanaya stands by him during this difficult time. Upset, Abhimanyu sends Shanaya away, but now she is also attracted to him, stays back and they happen to kiss. Rohan sees this and is heartbroken, becoming enemies and fighting with Abhimanyu. After having a fight with his father, Ashok disowns Rohan as a son, and he leaves the house.In the third round, the Prom, a confused Shanaya picks Rohan's friend Jeet Khurana (Sahil Anand) as her partner as she can't choose between Abhimanyu and Rohan. Rohan, who disowns Jeet and ends his friendship with him, goes with Tanya and Abhimanyu with Shanaya's ex best friend Shruti Pathak (Manasi Rachh) when she has a spat with Shanaya. Shanaya is disqualified for leaving the dance before it ends. The last round of the competition is a triathlon. Abhimanyu is winning but sees how Ashok doesn't want Rohan to win. He intentionally slows down and lets Rohan win. In the award ceremony, Yogi is abused by a drunken friend of theirs, Kaizad "Sudo" Sodabottleopenerwala (Kayoze Irani) due to which he eventually retires.In the present, Rohan is a pop star but single. Abhimanyu and Shanaya are now married and Abhimanyu in the present day is now a successful investment banker. They all see each other after coming to meet their principal, Abhimanyu and Rohan have a fight and let out everything they were holding back for ten years. They then unite after Rohan discovers the truth about the triathlon. They realize how important friendship is.

            Charlie(Shah Rukh Khan), is a street fighter who has been yearning for revenge from Charan Grover(Jackie Shroff) for 8 years. Grover labeled Charlie's father as a thief because Charan had conned him into stealing his own Diamonds worth $15 million. Charlie finds out that diamonds worth $300 crore will reach the Atlantis Hotel on Christmas Eve. He wants to steal the same diamonds and frame Grover. To accomplish this, he assembles a dynamic team consisting of Jag, Tammy, Rohan Singh and a lookalike of Vicky Grover(Charan grover's son), named Nandu Bhide (Abishek Bachan).Tammy is the only one to open the vault. The team finds out that the room 9C, connected to the vault through duct system, is booked for a participant in the World Dance Championship. The group refuses, but Charlie re-motivates the group, convincing them to become a dance team. The film moves to a flashback- Manohar, Chalie's father met Charan Grover who gave him a contract to build an impenetrable vault. After the vault was completed, Charan drugged Manohar and conned him into stealing the diamonds by using his fingerprints. The film returns where desperate to win the competition, they employ many dance teachers, but to no avail. In desperation, Nandu introduces Charlie to Mohini, who is a Marathi bar dancer. Mohini eventually helps them learn to dance, unaware of their intentions. Charlie and Mohini grow very close.They manage to qualify in the first round by bribing the judges and eventually win the competition to represent Team India in the WDC by gaining votes through hacking. Many people despise them for their lack of dancing skill, but Charlie and his team are all only concerned with the heist except Mohini. In Dubai, Team Korea are especially hostile towards Team India, including Grover. At the semi final, Charlie saves a Korean member, instantly gaining respect and admiration from the audience. India advances to finals after judges are moved by Charlie's action. Team India becomes loved by everyone. After going over the plan, everything is ready. The team eventually find out that the diamonds will arrive on New Year's Eve instead of Christmas which impedes the heist.Mohini ends up hearing about heist, angrily confronting Charlie and his false motivations of the competition. Charlie reveals a shocking secret that Manohar is actually dead. After Manohar was arrested, he appealed for a trial, but Grover bribed Manohar's lawyers. The next day, Manohar committed suicide by slitting his wrists. Charlie kept this a secret to avoid demoralization. However, the team makes their determination to avenge Manohar even stronger. Mohini joins the team and helps them for the heist.The night of the final round, the heist is set in motion. Mohini lures Vicky into an elevator, where his thumbprint is copied on Nandu who opens the chamber. They open the crack but Charlie and Tammy find another glass safe which houses the diamonds. Tammy realizes that Manohar built this safe. Charlie opens the safe later after deep thinking, realizing that the password to open the safe was his own name. After stealing the diamonds, the team boards a boat, but Mohini refuses to come as she feels dedicated to protecting India's honor with the competition. Rohan joins her as well, leading to a fight amongst the remaining members.When Team India is found missing, Grover claims that they are the thieves. As he watches Mohini perform, other members also join her. Soon after, Charlie makes appearance and eventually helps the team win the competition. With all suspicions removed from Team India, Charan and Vicky Grover are arrested. Charlie reveals himself to Charan and completes the revenge. Team India reach the airport and manage to bypass security. Charlie camouflages the diamonds in his soft-drink, but the security guard disposes it. Later, during the flight Charlie reveals that he switched the fake diamonds on the trophy with the real ones. The team reaches India.During a post-credits scene, Mohini opens her own "Dence School" and everyone laughs at Nandu who is thrown out of bank for showing a winners' cheque.

            The film opens with Ronnie running towards a corpse and grieving the person's death before Siya arrives at the spot. A flashback begins.15 years ago, young Ronnie used to protect his innocent elder brother Vikram from those bothering him. When Vikram got beaten up and troubled by some boys, Ronnie arrived and rescued him by fighting off the boys. His father, Inspector Charan Chaturvedi, didn't approve of his behavior. One day, Charan went out to rescue people from a riot and ended up getting fatally shot. He made Ronnie promise to be Vikram's protector forever, which he did. Following their father's death, Ronnie and Vikram grew up together with their uncle, also a police officer.Years later, some goons trouble Vikram in a movie theater after he mistakenly spoils their leader's shirt. Siya, who has just met him, tries to help him but the goons beat him up. Ronnie arrives to help him and sensing threat decides to leave with an apology. However, when he sees blood near Vikram's ears, Ronnie beats up the goons and is about to nearly kill one of them, before Vikram and their uncle stop him. The uncle offers a police job to the brothers, and Vikram declines. With a number of cases registered against him, Ronnie tells Vikram he can't join the police force. He convinces Vikram to become a police officer in Agra. Upon joining his duty, he sees the henchmen of a criminal named IPL burn a man to death in front of the police. Vikram is terrified and expresses disgust at the cops' failure to stop the criminals. He learns an elder cop in their station just thought of bringing those criminals to justice and suffered the consequences by seeing his daughter get killed by one of the criminals.It is then revealed IPL works for a Syrian terrorist named Abu Jalal Gaza who kidnaps families to use them for terrorism. Soon, the cops find out about the location where IPL's men have kidnapped families. Since one of them has to necessarily go, Vikram is made the scapegoat but with Ronnie's assurance, he goes alone at the location. Ronnie meets him secretly, and instructs him to turn lights on and off upon hearing him whistle every single time. Using this technique, Ronnie fights off the henchmen and helps Vikram rescue the kidnapped families. This process is repeated, and Vikram soon becomes a famous cop. Learning that his henchmen are unable to stop Vikram, IPL instructs them to kidnap Ronnie, whom they believe to be an innocent and timid man. They succeed in kidnapping him and ask Vikram to come with the seized commodity and rescue Ronnie. The elder cop tells Vikram to go and save Ronnie, who pretends to be scared and tells Vikram via phone to come in 10 minutes. During that time, IPL instructs his henchmen to chop Ronnie's thumb if Vikram doesn't show up, and leaves. However, Ronnie fights them all off and lets Vikram arrest the goon (who killed the elder cop's daughter). When the goon is being taken to court, Ronnie and Vikram stage a fake arrest sequence in which Ronnie is taken in and cuffed with the goon. During the traffic jam, Ronnie runs with the goon, and Vikram hands over the elder cop a gun to shoot the goon. The goon is killed publicly.Vikram continues to gain popularity and respect for his sincere behavior. After getting married with Siya's sister Ruchi, Vikram is told by the government to go for a routine paperwork in Syria. Happily leaving behind Ronnie, Siya and a pregnant Ruchi with a promise to return soon, Vikram goes to Syria and during a video call tells Ronnie someone picked his pocket as he couldn't be recognized as a cop. When there's a knock on the door, Vikram goes to attend it and gets brutally beaten up. Seeing this on camera, Ronnie pleads the men to spare Vikram, but they don't comply. Ronnie vows to rip apart their self-made nation if anything happens to Vikram, and hiding the truth from Ruchi, arrives in Syria with Siya. They try to enlist police help, but to no avail. A Pakistani man named Akhtar Lahori helps the duo track Vikram when Ronnie recalls Vikram's pocket was picked. Vikram's wallet is found with a pickpocket, and the cops start chasing after the trio who visit Vikram's hotel room to find Vikram's damaged phone. The cops arrive at the hotel to catch the trio, who successfully escape. The trio then starts to search for Vikram with his photos in their hands, and end up finding the attacker. Ronnie beats him up and chases him, exhausting him in the process. Ronnie pleads him to tell Vikram's location. However, the attacker gets hit by a truck and dies.The opening scene then plays again, and the story continues from there.Siya retrieves the attacker's phone from his corpse and texts IPL to meet him at a hotel, where Abu Jalal Gaza, the attacker's brother, has also arrived to kill Ronnie (unaware that it's him). He tells IPL that he has been texted by the killer instead of his brother, and leaves upon seeing the cops arrive. The main cop, however, sides with Ronnie and team, and captures IPL while Jalal escapes in disguise. Feeling IPL might betray him since he has been captured, Jalal orders his men to follow the police vehicle carrying IPL and kill him. Ronnie and team stage a series of events making Jalal's henchmen believe IPL has switched sides. The henchmen attempt to kill him, and Ronnie rescues him. Feeling betrayed himself, IPL decides to expose Jalal's plans. It is then revealed that Vikram's friend Asif and his family have also been kidnapped and kept with him. Asif is made to carry a bomb and explode it in return for his family's safety. However, Siya arrives and the police frees Asif's family while she tells him to stop and gets the bomb removed. Ronnie, on the other hand, attacks Jalal's army in the ensuing prolonged battle. He blows up vehicles, crashes helicopters and battles gunfire with an improvised shield. On the other hand, armed hostages rescued by Ronnie are being taken safely by IPL and Lahori while a girl steps on a landmine. IPL quickly switches positions with the girl, and forces Lahori to leave with the hostages. IPL sacrifices himself when Jalal's henchmen show up, and he steps off the landmine, killing everyone in the explosion. Ronnie then arrives at the spot where Vikram has been held captive. He fights off some of the henchmen, and Jalal (who met Ronnie at the hotel and promised him to find his brother without knowing him) frees everyone including Vikram, but takes Siya hostage. As Vikram and Siya are caged, Ronnie starts fighting but gets badly hit. While trying to fight back, he sees a sudden transformation in Vikram, who is now enraged to see Ronnie get beaten. Ronnie smiles and stops fighting back, eventually getting stabbed. Vikram escapes from the cage and beats the henchmen to death with a stone, and impales Jalal on steel rods.Freeing Siya from the cage, Vikram tries to revive Ronnie but nearly fails, with both believing he has succumbed to his wounds. However, as Jalal arrives to attack them, Ronnie suddenly gets up and strangles him to death. Back in India, Vikram is honored for his bravery while Ronnie imagines his father saluting him for keeping his promise and hugging him.
