Troy Demerick Williams, youngest of two children, was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida by parents Vincent L. Williams Sr. and Berthenia (Chapman). The nickname "Hollywood" was given to Troy by friends because of his confidence and his flashy style of dress.Williams was a student-athlete his entire life. His strong dedication to academics and athletics would result in him receiving both academic and athletic scholarship offers to a number of colleges. Ultimately he chose to go the academic route after receiving an academic scholarship to the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL). Troy attended UCF from 2003-2007, he graduated and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management. During his time at UCF, he began his career in the entertainment industry doing runway modeling in 2005. He modeled for F.A.C.E.S. Modeling Troupe (UCF chapter) and Set it Off Productions. It was during his time in F.A.C.E.S. where he met his beautiful wife Candace Curry-Williams. After experiencing great success, Troy would eventually walk away from modeling in 2008 to pursue a career in acting. After going through many life experiences, ultimately he would put his acting career on hold for a number of years to begin a career in Corporate America.Troy officially made his acting debut in film in 2015. He is most known for his lead role in "The Watchman's Edict" (2017) directed by Bryan Boykins, and for his role in award winning film "The Turnaround" (2016) directed by James C. Hunter.
