            Agent Wali Khan (Irrfan Khan), appointed by the Chief of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Ashwini Rao (Nassar), has been on a mission for nine years to keep an eye out for the activities of India's most wanted D-Company leader, Goldman (Rishi Kapoor) while working as a local barber as a cover. One day he notices Goldman talking about his son's wedding cards to people in the mosque where he prays and comes to know that his son is getting married and Goldman is breaking his security protocol to attend that. The same is confirmed by an ISI operative who works part-time as Goldman's bodyguard and is a neighbor and friend of Wali though he doesn't know the truth about Wali's connections to Indian Intelligence. Sensing a chance to nab Goldman alive, he informs Ashwini about the same who assembles a team quickly - Ex-Indian Army officer and mercenary, Rudra Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal), RAW's explosives expert, Zoya Rehman (Huma Qureshi), and Aslam, a Mumbai thief and a murderer who was given a chance at freedom by participating in this mission.On the day of the wedding, Wali sees his wife and son off at the airport, as they are to fly to London. Wali goes home and stages his family's death in the hopes that the ISI will not put them in harm's way and he can join them after the mission is accomplished. However, all flights to Europe are cancelled, stranding Wali's wife and son at the airport. When Wali's wife calls up Wali his phone is switched off and she learns her house is on fire. Disturbed and upset about not being able to locate Wali, she informs the airport security about the same. The airport security personnel runs a check to see and discovers that three bodies have been recovered. Suspicious at the cover up he summons the ISI. The ISI, while questioning Zoya and her son Kabir, notices Kabir holding pencils that belong to the same hotel where Goldman's son is about to get married. When asked Kabir informs that the pencils were given to him by Wali a few days ago. Realizing that Wali is an operative out to get Goldman, ISI alerts their counterparts at the wedding. As a result, Wali, Rudra, Zoya, and Aslam's plan to capture Goldman is in jeopardy. Goldman escapes unscathed and the four agents have to go into hiding. Embarrassed at the failure of their operation, the Indian government disavows the four agents; only Ashwini stands by them, but he is forced to resign. Aslam is captured and tortured by Goldman's nephew when he tries to escape through the Karachi docks. He is rescued by Rudra, who was trying to take revenge on Goldman's nephew for murdering Rudra's lover, Suraiya (Shruti Hassan), a Pakistani prostitute. Upon hearing that Wali's wife has died and that his son is in ISI custody, the four agents decide to find a way to complete their mission, despite the government having abandoned them.The ISI decides that Goldman is too much of a liability to continue protecting further, so they decide to kill him. Before they can, the four RAW agents take out the ISI and take Goldman hostage. Wali notifies Ashwini, who works to find them a safe route out of Pakistan. Goldman taunts Wali by telling him that his wife and son are actually still alive, and that he can arrange their reunion. Wali is torn between accepting Goldman's help and completing his mission, to the point where he shoots Rudra to take control of the group. Ashwini asks them to be at Checkpost 35 before 6a.m. At the same time, Wali arranges a meeting with ISI, proposing an exchange of Goldman for his wife and child. After tying Rudra up and disarming Zoya, Wali leaves with Goldman. Zoya then frees Rudra and they follow Wali.Wali drives to Checkpost 40 but is shot dead by Pakistani forces, who, unbeknownst to Wali, have poisoned and killed his wife and son. As Wali's car is examined, it is revealed that Wali did not actually bring Goldman with him; he had apparently anticipated the Pakistani betrayal, and had left Goldman in the car that Zoya and Rudra had taken. Through flashbacks, it is revealed that this was a plan hatched by Wali and Rudra in order to get Goldman to cooperate and give Rudra and Zoya time to get Goldman across the border to India. The Pakistani forces give Rudra and Zoya chase and barely miss them before they bring Goldman over the border, where Ashwini is waiting. Once across, Goldman taunts them by saying how nothing has changed in India and he will be released soon and is able to continue his criminal activities. Rudra shoots Goldman in the head, indicating that he is the face of the "New India."

            There's no one more dangerous than a common man on a death wish. This is one such story of a man remorselessly wronged by the establishment. One freak incident results in everything he held dear taken away from him. Predictably, the system doesn't seem to care - let alone resolve. That's when Ajay (Akshay Kumar) takes matters in his own hands. An underground vigilante army, a secret identity, an elaborate modus...all of these combined make a 'GABBAR'- a true hero, with dreadful villainous instincts.

            The film depicts the fictional life of Bodhidharma (Suriya), a master of martial arts and medical remedies, who is depicted in the film as the son of a great Tamil king of the Pallava Dynasty. He is sent to China by his guru, who requests him to stop the spread of a pandemic disease existing there from spreading to India. Initially the people in China treated him as an inferior but later when he cures a little girl from the deadly disease and fights against some people who ill treated villagers there, the people of China began to respect and worship him. He begins to teach them how to cure many diseases, the skills of hypnotism and the physical training of the Shaolin monks that led to the creation of Shaolinquan. However after several years, when he expresses his desire to return to India, the villagers plot to poison him and bury him near the temple, believing that their place would be disease free if he is buried there. Bodhidharma agrees to die and subsequently becomes a fundamental figure in Chinese history, affectionately being dubbed as "Damo".
The film switches to modern-day China, where Dong Lee (Johnny Tri Nguyen) is given the task of starting a government planned biological war against India, known as Operation Red. Dong Lee arrives in Chennai starts this operation by injecting a virus into a street dog. This disease was the one which occurred during the time of Bodhidharma in China. Meanwhile Subha Srinivasan (Shruti Haasan), a student of genetics researches that Bodhidharma can be brought back to life if his sample of DNA is matched with another sample of DNA which she finds in Aravind (Suriya) a descendant of Bodhidharma who is working as a circus artist nearby. Dong Lee finds out Subha's mission to revive Bodhidharma and plans to kill her first, so that the disease cannot be stopped.
Subha approaches Aravind to start the mission, but gets romantically involved in him and forgets her duty. One day, Aravind's family see Subha and clearly remember that she visited them a year before to find Aravind and know all about him for the Bodhidharma research. Saving herself, she lies by saying that she doesn't know them. Later that night, Aravind's uncle (Ilavarasu) explains all what happened one year before when they met Subha. Aravind goes and meets Subha, and is enraged upon realising the truth. However the next day, he reconciles with Subha and agrees to contribute to the research and hence save the country. The research begins of giving life to Bodhidharma and to end Operation Red. But Dong Lee, who is capable of doing anything, does all impossibly bad things, mastered in "Nokku Varmam" (hypnotism), a martial art which was actually taught to the Chinese by Bodhidharma.
Subha goes to her genetics department and announces that Operation Red can be stopped if they read and make use of the cures in a book written by Bodhidharma. However, the department laughs and refuses to believe her, claiming that an ancient book is of no use in modern times. Disappointed, Subha leaves. After some time, Subha and Aravind find out that Subha's professor from the genetics department is assisting Dong Lee in Operation Red. They sneak into the professor's apartment and learn about the operation, without his knowledge. The next day, the professor is caught red-handed by Aravind, Subha and her friends, but surrenders and explains that he received a huge sum of money from the China government if he carried out Operation Red. After the professor gives the gang more details about Operation Red and how to stop it, they leave. However, after a while, Dong Lee arrives and the professor once again teams up with him to save his own life.
Dong Lee causes numerous havoc in the city, which Subha, Aravind and their gang barely escape. They finally locate a research centre where they can activate Bodhidharma DNA in Aravind, and decide to hide there for a few days. They all deactivate their phones so that no-one can trace them. But Dong Lee somehow traces Subha and the gang with the help of two of Subha's outside friends. However, he kills both of them afterwards. Dong Lee then locates the place of the research centre. Subha and her friends in the research centre escape in a van, but Dong Lee chases them and the van collapses. An unconscious Aravind gets beaten badly by Dong Lee at first, but then manages to regain Bodhidharma skills somehow (in spite of the sun-rays hitting him on his face which was not supposed to happen and a day before he was estimated to regain his skills). Aravind wakes up with Bodhidharma's talent and in a final fight, defeats Dong Lee. Afterwards, Aravind and Subha manage to eradicate the virus spreading. The film ends with them giving a lecture via the media, about the need to remember important histories and to teach all practices in the name of science and not god.

            A team of soldiers attack an international criminal syndicate leader named Rahul and surround him in his private jet. But Rahul reveals that his younger brothers, Abhinay and Aniket have taken the soldier's families hostage, forcing them to turn on their leader. Before the leading soldier is executed, he declares that a good man will rise to take Rahul down. Rahul states that only a man as ruthless and evil as him will stand a chance of doing that, and orders the soldier to be murdered.Not long after, a man named Ganesh and his sister Tamizh move into Kolkata and meet Kolkata Kali, a rowdy thug and hitman whose instantly reformed by Ganesh's kindness which he's never experienced. Kali shows the two around the city before taking them to their new household where they befriend the neighbors. Ganesh enrolls Tamizh in an arts college for her passion in painting and sketching, and finds work at a taxi company with his new boss Laxmi Das. Ganesh's first customer is a phoney lawyer named Swetha. Swetha whose in a rush fails to pay the fine for the ride and Ganesh goes after her. Swetha needs a witness for her new case so she hires Ganesh in exchange for the money she owes, and has Ganesh pretend that he's mute since he doesn't know the native language. Ganesh calls Tamizh as the case nearly ends, blowing Swetha's cover and getting her fired. Ganesh has his second customer Arjun while he picks up Tamizh. Arjun later has feelings for Tamizh in admiration for her artwork and is revealed to be Swetha's brother.One night Ganesh heads to the temple with Laxmi Das and he's stopped by Swetha and her two junior recruits, who attempt to comedically attack him but they're stopped by Laxmi Das who threatens to report them to Police Comissioner Yashpal. Ganesh offers to pay Laxmi Das back, so Laxmi has Ganesh cover up for him and tell his wife and mother in law that he's at a temple function when he's actually at a pub. When Laxmi's wife shows Ganesh respect he betrays Laxmi and tells his wife and her mother where he really is, leading to Laxmi getting beaten up. Ganesh later accepts proposal of marriage by Arjun for his sister Tamizh, around the same time Swetha and Laxmi team up to prank Ganesh for ruining them. Swetha calls Ganesh saying that Tamizh is injured. When Ganesh finds out she lied he understands why she did and asks her not to repeat it since he cares about Tamizh so much, leading to Swetha admiring him.The taxi and auto rickshaw drivers of the city are called into a meeting by Yashpol who tells them about the criminal syndicate run by Rahul and their smuggling and trafficking operations in the city. He tells them to inform the police of any activities by the syndicate. Not long after, Ganesh finds one of Aniket's men, Amit, and his troops smuggling weapons. He reports this to Yashpol who arrests everyone except Amit who escapes. Aniket is angered and orders Amit to track the informer down and bring him to his yacht. After leaving a Church, Ganesh is abducted by Amit and taken hostage. But Ganesh escapes and kills Amit, then one by one he brutally murders each of Aniket's men and hangs Aniket from his boat. Abhinay finds this the next day and deduces that the culprit is not organized nor from the law, and that he must be a heavily experienced criminal himself. Abhinay tracks Ganesh using a technical team and finds his location in his own building. Ganesh breaks in and slaughters each and every one of Abhinay's men and calls up Rahul telling him that he'll be next. Swetha enters the building under suspicion and is terrified to find Ganesh killing people and swears to end the marriage. Ganesh reveals that Tamizh isn't actually his blood sister.A flashback shows that a year prior, Ganesh was actually one of the most feared thugs and mercenaries for hire in his town. He escapes police custody after helping them fend off an attack of rival thugs after they pay him, as he only cares about money and his self interests. One day Ganesh is walking when a group of his enemies knock him out and stab him. A concerened Tamizh stops by and helps Ganesh to the hospital. The doctors are hesitant to treat him because of his dangerous reputation but Tamizh claims that Ganesh is her brother and has him admitted, even donating blood to save him. The next morning Ganesh leaves money behind for Tamizh and departs, which she gives to the hospital. Tamizh has blind parents and their household is threatened by company owners who wish to demolish it. Although refusing the family is threatened to be evicted by thugs instead. Tamizh and her friend Ester consult Ganesh to help them but Ganesh betrays them saying that the company owners payed him more money earlier. He demands that they leave before he gets involved without caring how much the household means to them. The family arrives at his household and begin to occupy it, but Ganesh finds himself unable to kick them out since they have been so nice to him over the stay. He sends his friends to kill them instead but they all reform after the family feeds them and Tamizh draws them portraits. Days later, the criminal syndicate run by the brothers traffic several young girls and Tamizh ends up being abducted by them. Ganesh wanted to threaten Tamizh but since the kidnappers damaged his bike, he asks for money and leaves. However he stays behind and fights them just to get an image, freeing the girls. The next day he's thoroughly confused with all the gratitude given by the girl's families.Tamizh has also caught the brothers on video and reports them to the police, but the corrupt police giver her away and that night Tamizh and her parents are attacked and wounded by the brothers after deciding to accept eviction when Ganesh saved Tamizh. Tamizh's mother is dead by the time Ganesh arrives and her father pays Ganesh to save Tamizh before dying in his arms. Ganesh feels empathy for the first time and lets go of the money, and his memory of being hospitilized comes back to him when he admits Tamizh. Because of the attack, Tamizh had suffered amnesia and couldn't remember anything about her family. Ganesh has since raised her claiming to be her sibling, at the same time tracking down members of the syndicate and killing them. After hearing the story Swetha accepts Ganesh's intentions and allows the marriage to procede. For Tamizh's sake she can't know about her past or who Ganesh really is. Rahul arrives in the city the next day to investigate his brother's murders, and finds that one victim of the attacks survived and is on the verge of death. One of Rahul's friends consults Tamizh to draw a forensic sketch of the killer and she sketches Ganesh just before the patient dies. She begins to get scared and believes she accidentally drew Ganesh since he called earlier. When Ganesh comes to the hospital Rahul's men point their weapons but one of Rahul's men hold him at gunpoint to let Ganesh and Tamizh go. Ganesh had taken the man's son hostage earlier in preperation so Rahul sets them free.That night, Tamizh is kidnapped by Rahul's men at a mall and Ganesh pursues them. But it turns out that Rahul's men simply hid a bound Tamizh in the trunk of Ganesh's taxi. Rahul tells him she'll be sold to an international sex trade and that Ganesh will never see her again all because of him, and that he'll die knowing this. Ganesh chases down the car Tamizh is in and tracks it to the harbor. Rahul intercepts Ganesh and pins him down, who watches helplessly as Tamizh is transported towards the coast. Just before the car can cross over to the port it's interrupted by a parade, a sign in regard to the good wishes given by the families whose daughter's Ganesh saved a year earlier. Ganesh fights Rahul and helps Tamizh escape without revealing his violent identity. When Tamizh has her eyes closed in fear, Ganesh guns Rahul down stating that he'd kill for money and without a doubt he will for family. Ganesh rescues Tamizh and they live peacefully afterwards.

            It's only been a few months since officer Durai Singam arrested Danny, and Singam is called into Vishakapatnam, Andra Pradesh by it's Home Minister to solve the long pending murder case of Commissioner Ramakrishna as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police. When Singam arrives in Vizag he's attacked at the train station by the goon Gun Ravi, who works for Vizag's most powerful don and buisness owner Madasudhana Reddy. Singam defeats Ravi's men and Ravi is scolded by Reddy for assaulting a police officer unnecessarily. Singam heads to Vizag's police station and meets Inspector Subbo Rao, officer Srinivas, and Constable Veeram. Veeram used to live in Thoothikudi and is a big fan of Singam, confirming that Bhai and Danny are currently in prison while Thangaraj has been killed. Veeram asks Singam about his marriage but the other officers are confused since he stated he was unmarried. Singam tells Veeram that he and his wife Kavya are divorced, which is later revealed as a cover to keep her protected. Kavya also visits the station and Singam pretends not to no her. Singam is also visited by Vidya, a fangirl who asks for his autograph at the train station. When Vidya makes frequent visits to Singam it bugs him and he dismisses her. Veeram and Vidya become friends in their common interests.Reddy calls his higher authority Vittal Prasad, a buisnessman stationed in Sydney, Australia who ships wastage from medical and electronic companies in exchange for free steal supplies for his company Vittal Steals. Vittal confronts his friend Steve for signing an oppositional agreement against him and beats up his wife in retaliation. Vittal calls his father, the Aviation Minister Ram Prasad to investigate Durai Singam when he gets update of his presence by Reddy. Back in Vizag, Singam fights a group of Reddy's men who threaten a custom's officer for blocking Reddy's shipment containers from Australia. Singam calls Reddy himself and covers the attack claiming to be his secret ally, and begins to investigate the case and inquires Ramakrishna's family. The commissioner's wife states that he attended a murder call and was killed on that night. She sends Singam away when he tries to talk to her daughters, stating that Krisharaj, the assistant commissioner touched them innappropriatly when he came to inquire. Krishnaraj also told Singam earlier that he had no knowledge of Ramakrishna calling him. A confused Singam hires a hacker named Murili to hack into the cell company's network and find that a call took place for a few seconds during the Commissioner's murder to a man named Mallaya. Vidya later pays visit to Singam claiming to be a student for a police academy and simply wishes to learn from him.A constable in the station falls sick mysteriously. After investigation, Singam, Subbo, and Srinivas find that the medicine tablet was sold without a permit under Reddy's authority and that the medicine originates from Australia. Singam pays visit to Bheemli Selvam, one of Reddy's men who authorized the attack at the train station. Suspecting him of murdering the Commissioner Singam searches his house and finds Australian money and a firearm. Reddy calls Singam and assures him that Selvam is permitted to have them. Vittal is also informed of the arrest by Rajeev Krishna, who works with Reddy and owns Vizag Scraps company. Veeram and Srinivas show Singam an article written about him being a corrupt extortionist threatening Reddy, written by an author Agni who's revealed to be Vidya. Vidya is actually a journalist hired to write a thrilling story in Vizag and she chooses to portray Singam as such. Singam's family and Home Minister Ramnathan are confused by the article and Reddy suggests to Singam to keep his head down. Singam is called and informed that the same people who killed the commissioner also murdered security guards around the same time as found by a forensic officer. Singam pays visit to Mallaya, Ramakrishna's driver who confirms that Reddy baited Ramakrishna to the harbor and shot him. He never told anyone since he was caught and threatened with death to him and his family. Murili also confirms that the phone company had the call history on that night erased. Singam deduces that somebody other than Reddy helped him murder the commissioner.The next day, Singam sends the entire force of Vizag to arrest every suspected criminal in the city including a great deal of Reddy's men. After shooting Selvam, Vidya begins to regret writing about Singam in the way she did. Reddy initially tolerates Singam's arrests but becomes suspicious when he takes too many of his men. Singam also confronts inspector Prakash and Krishnaraj who were involved in covering Ramakrishna's murder. Reddy calls Singam about his activity in which he reveals his true intentions. Singam later confronts Vidya for tricking him and has her arrested to pay a fine. She decides to leave Singam be afterwards. The police also identify the unnamed visitor to the station a few days ago from the funeral footage, as a local school teacher. Singam interrogates the teacher, who confirms that he knows of the cause. Weeks before Ramakrishna was killed, his grandchildren as well as 32 students died from a smog attack from the local dump which was burning trash. Singam heads to the city dumps and finds Australian medicine, hospital wastage and electronic components. Singam puts the events that have passed together and realizes that Reddy makes living off of importing Australian waste into Vizag and has killed Ramakrishna to protect it, and deduces that Reddy is working with someone in Australia to help him. Reddy, Rajeev, and Vittal all find out about his revelation and Reddy sends Ravi to kill Singam and the school teacher. Singam arrives at the harbor to inspect the wastage containers and is ambushed by Reddy's men. Ravi kills the teacher and Singam arrives to late. Vittal calls him anonymously with Reddy and Rajeev on the line and threatens to kill Singam's family if he continues with the case.The next day Singam decides he must get to the bottom of who Reddy's boss is. He starts with chasing down and arresting Ravi. He barges into Reddy's house and arrests him for all that he's done but he's only sentenced to two weeks of prison. Singam is also given permission to visit Australia to find Reddy's boss. He sends a drone into a steal company to find out who runs the buisness and confirms that Vittal is the man by searching Reddy's phone contacts. He books an appointment with Vittal pretending he doesn't know who he really is and tells him straight to his face that he'll find the man who threatened his family. Singam leaves Australia immediatly and Vittal fails to capture him. When Singam returns he finds Reddy paroled for Ramakrishna's murder when three of his goons claim to be responsible and that their supposed motivation was Ramakrishna attempting to rape one of their wives. Singam is disgusted by Reddy's action and is threatened by Reddy that he'll take his job and his life. Singam is also suspended by the CBI for speaking out of turn when they critisize him for being an extortionist and for his visit to Australia to confront Vittal. Additionally, Ramakrishna's wife blames him for her husband's defaming.Singam works to clean up the mess and continue to arrest wrongdoers on Reddy's part and campaigns against Reddy's influence and corruption in Vizag, including arresting the goons who paroled him. Singam frames Reddy for attempted assault on his own men and sends him on the run. When Singam tells Kavya that he can't let go of the case yet and Veeram finds out that Singam is still married. Vittal gets wind of Singam's rise in power and heads to India to confront him. Vittal tells Singam to stay out of his way, and Singam responds by intercepting Reddy and having Subbu shoot him since Reddy started a riot in Ram Prasad's favor six years earlier, which killed Subbu's son. Singam reveals Vittal's containers to the press and threatens to give all evidence away to the public if Vittal doesn't pay him visit. Singam angrily scolds Vittal on how his buisness has hurt people but decides to give him another chance for his employee's sake. Vittal leaves humiliated and gathers Reddy's remaining men to retaliate. At an unknown point, he dumps 400 more containers of garbage into the state's coast. Vidya attempts to make amends for her actions and help Singam with his case by interviewing Vittal while Singam visits Thoothikudi with Kayva to attend her grandmother's funeral. Singam is followed by Rajeev who's on the same flight and arrests him. In exchange for Rajeev's release, Vittal captures and drugs Vidya. Singam sends Rajeev by car to Vizag and keeps his cell location stationed in Thoothikudi with Murlili's help. Singam finds a vehicle belonging to Vittal's men and traces it to a hospital. Singam rescues Vidya who has to recover from a coma. On the way home that night, Vittal's men bomb Vizag station and attempt to kill Singam, injuring Srinivas who is sent to the hospital.The last straw, Singam finds government authorities and shows them all the evidence and events connecting Reddy, Vittal, and the wastage imports. Overriding influence of the ministers including Ram Prasad, Singam gets an arrest warrant and goes after Vittal who's on the run. Murili traces Vittal by cell signal to a highway leading to Telengara. Singam chases Vittal, who has escorts on the road while riding a container truck. Vittal gets past security in the airport despite having his passport blocked. Singam stops the plane to Malaysia from taking off. He arrests Vittal in the plane and takes him into custody. Vittal escapes into a nearby forest where Singam fights and shoots him dead. Srinivas and Vidya recover in the aftermath and Ram Prasad is fired. Six months later, Kavya is pregnant and Singam is called in by Ramnathan for another case.

            Satya (Allu Arjun) loves Deepthi (Kajal Agarwal). A local gangster wants her and kills both of them in the process. Satya goes into coma and is treated by a doctor (Jayasudha). As Satyas body is burnt partly, the doctor performs a surgery and replaces his body with a new look (Ram Charan). Satya with new look and identity finds it easy to take the revenge on the people who is responsible for the death of his lover. Just about when he finishes act of vengeance, he comes to know about a bigger purpose in his life. The rest of the story is all about how he achieved the goal.

            Some love stories are eternal, mesmerizing and timeless, such as Ram and Sona's... Ram (Introducing Girish Kumar) is a young, dashing, NRI, eligible bachelor who belongs to a millionaire family born and brought up in Australia, who gets a chance to visit India for his cousin Lalita's wedding, where he meets her best friend Sona.
Sona (Shruti Haasan) hails from a small picturesque village in north of India and is adorned with simplicity, gorgeousness, youthfulness, charming vivaciousness and utmost honesty which Ram notices and in the colorful backdrop of the pre-wedding celebrations blossoms their friendship which in no time shapes in to love which is so pure and magical that they start dreaming of a life together.
