Robert grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in theatre. After a 5 year run as the Artistic Director of the Fine Line Theatre Co. there he moved to New York to continue to pursue his career as an actor. After playing in a number of off-Broadway productions, Robert landed a recurring role as Bernardo Sandoval on the Guiding Light. That lead to recurring roles on Law and Order and Law and Order SVU. In the meantime he has appeared as a guest star on nearly every TV show shot in New York. Most recently he became part of a comedy ensemble doing short sketches for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
