Racquel John was born in the Bronx, New York, but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. While accompanying her brother to an audition in Atlanta, she was encouraged to audition and landed a lead role in an independent film starring Robin Givens. This opportunity opened doors and launched her acting career. Racquel delved into acting lessons before auditioning for other roles. Racquel spent time in Los Angeles, taking acting classes and signing with a commercial LA agent. Racquel booked a lead support role in a comedy film starring Tom Arnold called Student Bodies. Her most memorable moment was when she had the opportunity to study with renowned acting coach Carl Ford. She fell in love with his style of coaching. Racquel has studied with many great acting coaches. Over the years, Racquel has appeared in feature films, short films, PSA's, television and commercials.
