Since Nora attended the trial of Jacques Viguier, accused of the murder of his wife, she is convinced of his innocence. She convinces a tenor of the bar to defend him for his second trial, on appeal.

The story follows the Morels, including two teenagers and a 7-year-old kid who are driving their parents out of their minds. One morning, they all wake up inside each other's bodies.

A 16 year old girl, bored with her own age group, becomes involved with an older man at a theater she passes.
