An avid paranormal adventurer, he is also known for his books about the legends and lore of the American South.His written works include, "The Bell Witch Haunting" (1999), "Our Family Trouble" (2003 Reprint - Foreword), "Weird U.S." (2004 - Contributing Author), "Ghostly Cries From Dixie" (2009), and "The Bell Witch: The Full Account" (2000, 2012). In 2013, he penned the foreword to Lori Crane's "The Legend of Stuckey's Bridge," an Amazon bestseller.A sought-after storyteller, Fitzhugh has entertained at bookstores, libraries, conventions, and universities across the United States, and has appeared on radio around the globe. His radio credits include Coast to Coast AM (2006, 2012), The Lou Gentile Show (2007), and The John Boy and Billy Show (2011). He has also appeared on Halloween specials for the BBC, CNN, and many local TV shows.Pat Fitzhugh was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and split his childhood between rural Humphreys County, Tennessee, and Nashville's west side, where he attended David Lipscomb Middle School and Hillwood High School. He took an interest in ghost stories early on, and was seriously researching the paranormal by age 13. His early influences included the local horror show, "Creature Feature," and vintage British ghost movies. Along the way, he also developed a keen interest in Tennessee's "Bell Witch" legend. As an adult, Fitzhugh has explored some of America's most haunted places. He conducts more than thirty paranormal investigations each year.As of 2015, Fitzhugh is working on an updated version of "The Bell Witch: The Full Account," and a sequel to his 2009 title, "Ghostly Cries From Dixie." Also in the works are "The Outlaws and Ghosts of the Natchez Trace," and his memoir of growing up on Kentucky Lake in rural western Tennessee, "From Turkey Creek - A Memoir." He is also preparing for two upcoming TV roles.When he is not writing scary books or chasing ghosts, Pat Fitzhugh enjoys eating Southern cuisine, making his guitars scream, and fishing at Turkey Creek. He lives in Nashville.
