Haasil focuses on the lives of two brothers; Kabir and Ranvir Raichand and how their lives evolve when they both fall in love with Aanchal who comes from a world which is very different from their reality.

Kabir Singh is a remake of a Telugu movie Arjun Reddy (2017), where a short-tempered house surgeon gets used to drugs and drinks when his girlfriend is forced to marry another person.

The story of the film is based on real events of financial market that took place between 1990 and 2000 involving Harshad Mehta and his financial crimes.
