            The movie opens with the borough of Richmond preparing for the concert of hometown girl turned star Ellen Aim. As the concert begins, bikers in black leathers ride into town. Inside the concert venue, the young and sexy Ellen Aim begins her performance, singing with the pounding of music and the backdrop of a light show. The shadowed figures of the motorcycle gang enter the crowd and push their way towards the stage. They wait there, watching the show, and waiting, unmoving as the crowd around them rolls like an ocean with the music. As the first set ends, the bikers charge the stage and grab Ellen Aim. The band and other members of the crowd fight to save her, but the bikers handle them with brutal efficiency. The gang makes it outside and ride away with a screaming Ellen in tow. It is pandemonium out in the streets. Reva Cody writes her brother Tom to come home. He is recently released from the army and boards a train. Reva is working in her diner when a gang of young preps bust in. Reva tells them to get lost, but they don't take kindly to that, threatening her and her joint. Tom is there. He stands up and takes off his jacket. The gang confronts him. He rather easily and comically punches out their leader and then uses a coat rack to take knock the rest of them out the front window. They scatter, and Tom takes their car. Reva is glad to have him back. Reva tells Tom about Ellen being kidnapped by the Bombers. He is mad that Ellen is dating her manager and that Reva thinks he should rescue her. He stomps off to the bar. There he meets McCoy, a tomboy and former soldier. McCoy asks to bunk with him since she doesn't have a place to stay. Tom offers her his sister's couch. Getting into bed, Tom looks at some old pictures he has of Ellen from when they dated. He thinks about her and changes his mind. The next day Tom finds a buddy who has some guns for him. Tom arrives at the diner to meet with Billy Fish, Ellen's manager and new boyfriend. Billy is a four-eyed geek in a bowtie who thinks money makes him better than everyone else. He has serious doubts about Tom's ability to rescue Ellen. Tom demands 10 grand as payment for the task. Billy is fine with that. Tom insists Billy accompany him because Billy knows his way around the Battery, which is where the Bombers are keeping Ellen. Billy refuses but ultimately relents because he needs Ellen back. McCoy asks to join since she needs the money. Billy tells her to take a walk. Perhaps amused by the obvious contempt the two have for each other, Tom agrees to let McCoy in for 10%. As a former motor pool worker, McCoy gets to drive. They hop in the car and take off for the battery. McCoy and Billy continue to verbally spar during the ride.At the Battery, a band is playing at a biker joint called Torchies while gals in black fishnet stockings dance the bar. The leader of the Bombers, Raven, goes into a room where Ellen is tied to the bed. Raven explains that he will let Ellen go after the two of them "fall in love for a little while." Ellen refuses his advances. He eventually leaves.Tom, McCoy and Billy are approaching Torchies. The plan is for Tom to enter Torchies topside while McCoy goes in the ground floor and makes her way up. Billy is to wait 15 minutes then pick them up. Tom gets into position on the roof across the street while McCoy makes her way inside the bar. McCoy runs into a biker who she talks into taking her upstairs. The biker enthusiastically takes her into a "party room" and then tries to get it on with her. She knocks him out with her pistol. She then busts into a room where the head Bombers, including Raven, are playing cards. She holds them at gunpoint. Tom is watching bikers perform jumps in front of the bar until he sees Ellen tied to a bed inside Torchies. He then starts shooting motorcycles, which burst into flame. When enough chaos ensues, Tom makes his way into Torchies. He quickly finds Ellen and cuts her loose. They run into McCoy and all three take the top way back outside. Billy shows up, and McCoy takes the wheel again as they get away. Tom tells them to meet him at the Grand Station underpass while he allays the Bombers. Tom continues disabling motorcycles and knocking bikers out. He gets on a motorcycle to ride away. Raven confronts him with threats. When Tom reminds Raven that he is armed, Raven tells Tom he can get guns, a lot of them. Raven promises Tom that he will be coming for him and Ellen. Tom rides off. McCoy, Billy and Ellen are waiting at the Grand Station underpass. Billy doesn't want to wait any longer, afraid that bikers or cops could show up. Ellen refuses to leave without Tom, since he rescued her. Billy informs Ellen that Tom is getting paid for his services, and that he isn't acting out of love for her. McCoy badgers Billy over the fact that Tom and Ellen dated. Tom shows up. He tells them they have to get on the move and ditch the car. Ellen asks to speak to him alone. She has a lot to say to him since it has been years since he left for the army. He has nothing to say to her. He is mad at her for shacking with Billy. She is mad at him for taking money to rescue her. They eventually leave, ditch the car, and walk their way through the next borough, which is heavy with people on the streets. One of the people they run into recognizes Ellen Aim and tags along as a big fan. Tom stops a bus trying to make its way through the crowd. The bus if for a band called the Sorels. Tom shows his gun and hijacks the bus. Everyone gets in. The bus is rolling towards the Richmond and everyone is finally getting along when the bus gets stopped by a road block set up by cops. Billy tries to talk and then bribe his way through the cops. It doesn't work. Tom holds the cops at gun point, and then he and McCoy make the entire road block lay in the road so they can discard their weapons. Tom then shoots up the police cars, and they all get back on the bus and take off. Now to be chased by the police, they have to ditch the bus. They do so and run to a train station to catch the train. They all arrive back at the police station in the Richmond. City folk stream into the station to see Ellen. Ellen says she wants to leave town and tells Tom that she hates him for taking money to rescue her. The Bombers' second in command shows up. The police chief goes to talk with Raven. Raven wants Tom Cody, and as long as they give him up, there will be no more trouble. Tom and McCoy are back in Reva's diner. Tom is obviously downcast. McCoy is angry because Tom is self-centered and hasn't given her any credit. She tells Reva that Tom is a jerk and storms off. Reva lights into Tom next for feeling sorry for himself because Ellen ditched him. Reva implies she only wanted Tom to rescue Ellen because Ellen was good for him. The police chief shows up and tells Tom that Raven wants to meet him tomorrow. He tells Tom that he should be on a train out of town tonight, and that if he doesn't leave, he'll arrest him right after arresting Raven. Tom goes to the hotel to visit Ellen and Billy. Billy pays Tom his money. Tom tells Ellen he once thought Ellen was worth rescuing without the money, but not anymore. He throws the money back at Billy and only takes what he promised for McCoy. He leaves. Billy laughs at Tom's stupidity for throwing 9 grand away, but Ellen goes after Tom. They meet outside in the rain and embrace. They are next seen in bed. Ellen advises Tom to leave town and says she will go with him. Tom meets McCoy back at the bar and reconciles with her. He asks her to accompany him and Ellen out of town that night. She agrees. All three are on the train when it comes to a stop. Tom moves to leave. Ellen says it isn't their stop yet. Tom knocks her out with a punch. He tells McCoy to make sure Ellen gets out of town. He goes to return to Richmond, but the returning train is out due to damage caused by the Bombers.Raven arrives with two henchmen as he told the police chief. The chief tells him that Tom and Ellen are gone and that he is under arrest. Raven blows a horn he brought with him and about forty bikers arrive with guns. City folk see the Bombers arrive and come streaming into the street with guns to help the police. Tom arrives just as things look ugly. Raven brought pick-axes of all things for them to fight hand-to-hand with. They fight. Tom eventually disarms Raven and tosses away his pick-axe so they can fight it out with their fists. A bloodied Tom eventually puts Raven down. The city folk point their guns at the Bombers. The Bombers grab Raven and ride out. The movie ends on another Ellen Aim concert. Tom is watching the Sorels, who now open for Ellen, backstage. Billy approaches him and tells him he won't get in the way. Tom tells Billy that he is better for Ellen. Tom finds Ellen. She knows he's leaving. He tells her he'll be there if she needs him again. They kiss, and he departs. Ellen goes onstage to begin her performance. Tom watches her from the entrance of the hall and then leaves near the end of the first song. Tom runs into McCoy who has the car Tom stole from the gang at the beginning of the movie. Tom gets in and they ride away.

            Bill Williamson (Brendan Fletcher) is a warped, frustrated young man who hates his life and hates society which leads him to be driven over the edge of sanity while keeping his craftiness on. He is in his early twenties, lives with his parents (Matt Frewer and Lynda Boyd) and he works a low-paid job as a mechanic. Psychologically, he is continually bombarded with the problems of the world, by ubiquitous TV sets, radios, and the views of Evan Drince (Shaun Sipos), a left-wing philosopher who seems to be his sole friend. One day, Bill, after being hurt after his parents tell him that it's time he left home, and tired of being victimized by his nasty boss at work, Bill acts upon his plan to reduce the town's population. He believes overcrowding causes the world's problems.Determined to extract revenge upon his small town where he lives, Bill, builds himself a full-body suit of Kevlar armor, complete with a ballistic helmet and a paintball mask from parts he has had sent to Evan's home over a period of time. Evan lives with his survivalist father.One day, Bill dons his suit of Kevlar armor, and goes to town. First he incapacitates the police by car-bombing their headquarters with a bomb-laden van which he drives by remote control. He then begins to kill the town folk, shooting people at random. The police return fire, but Bill kills all of them too with ease.Bill enters a beauty salon to take a rest and have a drink of water from his rampage. But then he kills all of the employees and customers (all of them women) in cold blood because he was forced to remove his paintball mask to have some water.Next, in the film's funniest scene, Bill enters a bingo hall where he is hardly noticed by the elderly and senile people... all playing bingo. Out of pity, Bill does not open fire on the senior citizens playing bingo, but instead orders a sandwich and a drink from the concession stand and then walks out of the building, deciding to let the bingo-playing old people live since their lives will end sooner then most others.A little later, Bill robs a bank, killing some of the employees. Outside the bank he puts on a show by burning fake money, which he had printed up earlier, to show that it is worthless and causes the problems of the world. Bill then goes to the fast-food place and kills the counter-girl who had clumsily served he and Evan the previous day.Bill then drives out of town with a small group of police in pursuit. But Bill has even more out-of-the-blue tricks up his sleeve when he sets off some roadside bombs, destroying the police cars, and drives off the road into the nearby forest, with the sheriff and the last surviving cops in chase. Bill ambushes and kills them all.After the killings, Bill calls Evan, who is in the forest nearby expecting him for a mano-a-mano paintball competition. When he arrives at the forest, Bill apologizes to Evan for having him wait for an hour. He then immobilizes Evan with a stun gun, places a pistol in his hand, and shoots him in the head to simulate suicide. Bill leaves the body of Evan wearing the armor suit, and holding the weapons of the massacre. He leaves the forest and makes his way home, arriving before his parents arrive with horror stories about the killings in town. After listening to his parents, he retires to his bedroom to sleep.In his room, while packing his belongings and stolen bank money, he hears a local television news report that police believe Evan Drince is the dead perpetrator of the killings and the bank robbery. The police have arrested Evan's father, a well-known extremist and political hack whom they blame for influencing him to carry out this killing spree.In the final scene, the deranged Bill leaves the house of his parents, as told. The story of the mass murder concludes with a video recording of Bill announcing his departure on a personal quest to unknown whereabouts, to further reduce the world's population in more mass shootings and to frame more people he befriends to continue on his evil and misanthropic quest.

            In 1943, US Army experimented with the electro magnetic fields to make dissapear a ship hoping to win World War II. In the ship are two friends, David Herdeg and Jim Parker, they are send to the future when experiment causes a break in the continuum space time, arriving to 1984. Located in a world strange for them, a nurse called Allison Hayes helps them, but military forces pursues them due Dr. James Longstreet, creator of the original experiment, that recreated it in a town that missed. Running from the soldiers, Herdeg and Allison see impotent like a sudden rays impact against Parker, that finally misses in fron their eyes, coming back to 1943. Although Herdeg and Allison don't understand the happening, both discover that Jim Parker still alive and they travel to meet him, meeting an 'old' Parker instead, a man that tries to forget a hard past lived time ago. Seeing that it's impossible to talk with him, Herdeg and Allison go away, and are catched by the soldiers. Finally they meet with Longstreet in the Control Center of the new experiment, who says that the new experiment connected with the original, creating a vortex between two times and that only Herdeg can to stop it. He refuses, but Longstreet tells that he spoke with the survivors of the 1943's experiment and that they told that was the own Herdeg who finished it destroying the generator power. Astonished, he understands that there's no option, and he accepts the mission, being send again to the vortex and to the Eldridge. There he meets again with the young Parker, saving him and the rest of the ship when the energy turns down, but before that the Eldridge re-appears in 1943 Herdeg jumps out of it, standing him in 1984 to stay with his beloved Allison.

            The quiet coastal town of Midwich, California is invaded by an unseen force which leaves ten women mysteriously pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born simultaneously on one night, except for one which is stillborn. At first, they all appear to be normal, but it does not take the parents long to realize that their children are anything but normal. As they grow older, the children are shown to have pale skin, platinum-white hair, fierce intellect and steely, cobalt eyes. The emotionless children display eerie psychic abilities and remarkable powers, which they use with deadly consequences, unleashing a reign of terror. When they actively use their mind-controlled powers, their irises or their entire eyes glow in different colours, mostly reddish-orange, but also green, yellow, violet, blue or pure white.There are some story differences from the earlier adaptation. In this version, the children "paired off", but one of the children, David (Thomas Dekker), loses his partner after she dies at birth. As a result, he shows human compassion while still resembling the other children and retaining some degree of psychic powers. This leads to him not fitting in well with the children. Their ruthless leader, Mara (Lindsey Haun) ("daughter" of a local doctor, Dr. Alan Chaffee (Christopher Reeve); her mother, Barbara (Karen Kahn), commits suicide by walking off an ocean cliff), considers him less important due to his expression of emotions. Because of his childhood loss, he understands what the other children do not: pain. He and his mother (Linda Kozlowski) (the local school principal) share a brief conversation about the meaning of the word "empathy", with David beginning to understand that if he feels pain, he can understand others' pain as well. When the other children experience pain, they simply use their powers to inflict the same pain on the adult responsible for the pain, for example forcing one of the mothers to put one of her arms in a pot full of boiling water, or forcing the local optometrist making herself blind with a painful liquid.Soon, the other colonies of psychic children in foreign countries are eliminated because of their danger. The scientific team at Midwich quickly flees the town to escape the chaos. However, the lead government scientist, Dr. Susan Verner (Kirstie Alley), is killed by the children after being forced to show them David's partner, the baby that was stillborn. Susan has secretly kept it so that she could perform an autopsy on it and study it. A mob of angry townspeople attempt to stop the children, but the latter use their powers to kill the leader of the mob causing the other townspeople to flee quickly.The State Police and the National Guards are then sent out to kill the children, who instead hypnotize them into shooting each other in a chaotic gun battle.In order to rid the town of the children, Alan devises a plan; to detonate a briefcase of explosives inside the children's classroom. By thinking of a brick wall, he is able to create a mental barrier and keep the presence of the bomb a secret from the children. Jill begs him to save David (because he is not like the others), and Alan agrees. He attempts to do this by asking David to leave the classroom to get his books from his car. Finally, Jill shows up, but the children stop her. David, angered by this, rushes to her defense and knocks Mara over. The children turn on David, but Jill rushes him from the building. At last, the children break through Alan's defenses, but the explosives detonate, destroying the barn and killing everyone, including Alan.Jill and David survive the massacre; she says that they would both move to a place where nobody knows them. The last scene is of David, riding in his mother's car, looking off into the distance.

            Starhunter REDUX tells the story of a dysfunctional family of bounty hunters pursuing criminals on the off-world colonies of Earth 300 years into the future. The rule of law has broken down on this new frontier, leaving justice to dangerous men and women who offer their services for hire. Starhunter REDUX follows Dante Montana (Michael Pare) and his niece Percy (Tanya Allen) and their crew as they hunt criminals in deep space while searching for Dante's lost son (Clive Robertson) taken by outlaws long ago. Often tormented by their pasts, the crew, including Claudette Roche as Lucretia Scott, struggles as the universe changes around them in bewildering ways. It's a time when humans have spread across the solar system, colonizing planets and building new worlds. Rule of law has broken down on this new frontier, leaving justice in the hands of dangerous men and women who offer their services for hire.
The series follows bounty hunter Dante Montana and his crew, who hunt criminals in deep space while searching for Dante's lost son who was taken by a clan of outlaws years ago. The crew also struggle with their tormented pasts as the universe changes around them in ways yet to be understood.
Starhunter: REDUX is an updated, re-cut and re-scored 44 episodes of the hit cult classic science fiction series. It presents a creatively different edition of the series closer to the creators' original vision. It is also the precursor of the anticipated Starhunter Season III.
The original two seasons of Starhunter aired in Canada on Space: The Imagination Station and The Movie Network: Season 1 in 2000; Season 2 in 2003. Starhunter REDUX is not yet available in Canada.             My pic for worst of the worst gratuitous anti-American films on Vietnam. Only thing unique is the subject matter of the tunnel rats almost never depicted anywhere. But the movie itself was full of anachronisms and gross misrepresentations along with extremely manipulative anti-American sentiment. Was tempted to trash 30 minutes in but stuck it out to the bitter end.

2103: The Deadly Wake


            Max Seed (Will Sanderson) is a serial killer responsible for the deaths of 666 people over a six year period who is on the loose. The police receive videos portraying the slow death and decomposition of creatures ranging from a cockroach, a Labrador dog, a baby, and fully-grown woman in an underground chamber. They trace the videos to the residence of Seed. Detective Matt Bishop (Michael Paré) captures Seed, Max Seed's background story is revealed that , as a boy, a reclusive and antisocial Max Seed was disfigured in a school bus crash that killed everyone else involved in it. Starting In 1973, Seed began torturing and murdering people, filming some of his victims starving to death in his locked basement, and ultimately racking up a bodycount of 666. Now in this current setting (in 1979), Seed is arrested by Detective Matt Bishop (Michael Paré) in a sting operation that claims the lives of five of Bishop's fellow officers. Seed is sentenced to death by electric chair, and incarcerated on an island prison, where he is a model inmate, only acting out when he kills three guards who try to rape him.On Seed's execution date, the electric chair fails to kill him after two shocks. Not wanting Seed to be released due to a state law that says any convicted criminal who survives three jolts of 15,000 volts each for 45 seconds walks, the prison staff and Bishop declare Seed dead, and bury him alive in the prison cemetery. A few hours later, Seed digs his way out of his grave and returns to the prison, where he kills the executioner, doctor and warden before swimming back to the main land. The next day, while investigating the massacre, Bishop realizes Seed was responsible when he discovers the serial killer's empty cemetery plot.Over the course of several months Seed resumes his killing spree, and kills dozens of more people, with one long shot showing him beating a bound woman with a chisel for five straight minutes. One day, a videotape showing Bishop's house is sent to the detective's office. Knowing this means Seed is going to go after his family, Bishop races home, finding his wife, Sandy, and eight-year-old daughter, Emily, gone, and the four officers charged with guarding the house are found dismembered in the bathroom.Driving to Seed's old house, Bishop is lured into a basement room containing a television and a video camera, and locked inside. The television turns on, and depicts Seed with Sandy and Emily in the attic. Emily informs Bishop that Seed wants Bishop to shoot himself in order to save his wife and daughter. When Bishop hesitates, Seed brutally kills Sandy by shooting her in the head with a nail gun, prompting Bishop into shooting himself in the head, believing that doing so will make Seed release his daughter. Instead, Seed takes the little girl to the room containing her father's corpse, and locks her in it. As Emily sobs for her two dead parents, the film suddenly ends with Max Seed contining to kill with no end in sight to his bloody rampage.

            Two random dudes and one hot girl (Michelle Borth) are running away from a terribly rendered giant Komodo Dragon. The assistant gets improbably eaten by the komodo and as soon as the hot chick and the remaining old man settle down for what i can only assume is the next installment of Naughty America, the old man is gobbled up by a giant Cobra who appears in some CGI water.A military guy (Rod McCary) sends a few inept military personnel to the island in the dark to bring back some people who we don't care about. One guy is hilariously tongue lashed around his neck and dragged in to the bushes. We later find out that this is a Komodo power, not a snake power. As they call for evac to some people who are apparently ALSO eaten by the Komodo, they are double scooped by the K-Dragon.A couple convinces the drunken captain of a crappy charter boat (Michel Paré-Bad actor) to bring them to an island where they were misinformed animal testing was taking place. They explain about how they really don't like it when people spray perfume in cats eyes. The captain, moved by their devotion to household pets, agrees to take them. Plus the girl is really really hot, and probably a virgin. The closeup on the captains face says it all "I will have her."The captain brings the group to the island, the group consisting of a needlessly unattractive mid-thirties survivor girl, her cameraman whom we don't even know until he is am-BUSHED by the sssssnake, a scientist with a terrorist beard and what could be his daughter, or sister, or harem girl...These wusses represent some leaf-licking organization called One planet. The captain pulls out his gun, and the tree-humper jock guy gets offended and says the "The only weapon here is that camera." The captain bitch slaps him and laughs while the main dude cries.They arrive at the doctors home safe and sound, where the food is half eaten. The people who lived were apparently quite fond of grilled cheese sandwiches. The camera guy "Goes for a smoke" and as I stated earlier, looks through some bushes for a sound and is OBVIOUSLY eaten by a snake. That is where they meet "Super Hot Midriff Girl", still alive and gagging to leave the island as soon as possible. She bargains with the captain at gun point and the captain readily agrees to let her come along. The look on his face is one we've seen before.As they are leaving the house, the random blond gets tripped Jujitsu style by the K-Dragon and eaten. Some guy, who we now find out is her brother is upset. They hide in the lab where some irrelevant plot exposition in the form of cheesy flashbacks takes place. Hot midriff girl is hot. We find out the the animals are supposed to be plants, but that the military like animals better. The military guy in this flashback mentions something about a triple-team or funding for a triple-team, anyways, the old guy who dies in the first scene is totally down.They eventually decide to get back to the boat. Meanwhile we cut back to some random military guys who say they need to bomb the island. Once they realize theres a civilian craft, they bomb it. Go TEAM! There is some dissention apparently which leads to the end of the movies final unimportant conclusion.Back to Hot Midriff girl, she is still hot and now they run to the boat. Some of them manage to get to the raft, when they watch incredulously as the fishing boat gets bombed by bad CGI effects and stock military footage. The CGI Snake, appears in the CGI water, and eats the brother and then pops their raft out of spite. He hates humans.Having no other way home, the dendrophile cries and says "Lets build a raft!" Everyone laughs at him and he cries some more. They decide to head to a helicopter which is apparently on the top of the mountain in the center of the island. The captain can conveniently fly whatever helicopter happens to be there. Their journey is boring, except for when they cross the water and all the girls get wet. Whiny, enviro-loser gets attacked by leeches. They suck.After miraculously climbing a sheer cliff via screen cut, the group find themselves within a hundred yards of the helicopter which is there, of course. The captain, who has had his gun drawn the whole time, sees the helicopter but not the three story K-Dragon sneaking up through the sparse forest. When hot midriff girl is left alone to guard the sight of the helicopter, the Komodo sneaks up cause he can smell humans or something. She then runs back a hundred yards where everyone is still oblivious to three story monstrosity, K-Dragon, and tells them it is there. She beckons them to come see it for themselves. The only useful purpose for virgin girls boyfriend is realized as he sacrifices himself to be eaten by the snake so the captain can score the three remaining girls. What a wingman.Back at the random building with the military people, the old guy is told that he is totally boned. The younger guy looks smug. The final shot of the captain with the same old look in his eye but slightly different. It says, "I had them."
    

Komodo vs. Cobra


            Its 1940 and the German army is oozing their ickiness across the European continent, indiscriminately slaughtering thousands.
