Michael Anthony Jr. who is of Polish, Ashkenazi Jewish, Native American, African American, and Dutch descent, grew up in Portland, Oregon and was raised by his mother, Lisa, a Service Coordinator for the state. His family has deep ties to the Pacific Northwest with his great grandfather, Samuel Kreidel, serving as long-time mayor of Ellensburg, Washington where he was known as the "Father of the Water System."Michael attended Cleveland High School where he started for the varsity basketball team and was showcased multiple times in The Oregonian due to his talent. Having attended the same high school as Nike founder, Phil Knight, Michael was inspired to dream big and seek more.After graduating from CHS as a rising basketball star, Michael attended Skyline Community College in California excelling on the court and in the classroom where he was awarded recognition on the Dean's list. His hard work paid off when he received a full-ride scholarship to continue his education at the University of West Georgia and studied psychology which he would later use as an actor to help him with character development and storytelling.With the end of college approaching, Michael had to make some tough decisions about what to do next. His fascination with all things film led him to Atlanta where he focused on TV production.After becoming certified by the People TV network as a producer, he developed, wrote, and hosted "The MAS & More Show," a program loosely based on his life. The show was well-received, earning him 3 awards from the Turner Broadcasting Network: Producer of the Year, Best Overall Production Values, and Best Programming Entertainment.Still reeling from the success of his show, Michael decided to further hone his craft in front of the camera. He left the east coast and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he landed at the Second City Improv. While studying at Second City, he continued to seek opportunities to help him grow as an actor. When not in class, he often performed live stand-up, booked commercials and print campaigns, and starred in a few independent films. His success in Vegas allowed him to get his SAG card. With his new status, Michael decided to seek more opportunities in the land of film and TV so he packed his belongings and headed for Hollywood.Now, Michael calls Los Angeles home and has been fortunate to land campaigns for several well-known brands such as Jeep and Rayban as well as an Uber billboard that was showcased at The Grove in LA and The Americana in Glendale.
