            Halloween Night - Journalist Miss Quinn comes to the Statesville Mental Hospital to interview Warden Kane. The warden introduces Ms. Quinn to five of the asylum's most notorious serial killer inmates. Jeffrey Ramses was a chef who became known as "Animal the Cannibal" for serving victims to his customers. Murderous dentist Bradford Young is known as "Dr. Suave." Walter Harris is "The Taxidermist." "Rocco the Clown" was an underground wrestler who killed his opponents in the ring. Manual Dyer was a cult leader who considered himself a prophet, but is referred to as "Mental Manny" because of his psychosis.Miss Quinn reveals herself to actually be "The Stitch Face Killer" when she murders Warden Kane and the guards before freeing the inmates. Manny refers to Quinn as "Dollface" because she is also his daughter Eileen.Sheriff Kate Hodges and bumbling Deputy Doyle investigate a murder at a motel.Having been tricked into doing so while romantically involved with Dollface, proprietor Dennis themes his Land of Illusions Haunted Scream Park at the Macon County Funhouse around the crimes of the Statesville Mental Hospital inmates. Manny has Rocco attack Dennis and drag him away as the killers murder the actors playing them and take over their roles inside the maze.Along with their friends Mikey and Randall, diner coworkers Morgan, Laurie, Christina, and Jacob leave work to go the Halloween haunt. Coworker Gerardo drives everyone there, but leaves after deciding that the attraction looks too frightening.All night long, the killers murder unsuspecting patrons. Other customers assume the gore is part of the entertainment. After taking a prank phone call, Deputy Doyle assumes all incoming calls concerning attacks at the funhouse are fake.Kate returns to the crime scene at the motel and discovers that the room belonged to Dollface. Clues lead Kate to conclude that whatever Dollface was planning involved the Statesville Mental Hospital inmates. Kate regroups with Deputy Doyle and the two of them discover the bloodbath at the asylum.Dollface kills Christina in the bathroom after Christina has sex with Jason. The other friends realize what is actually happening at the funhouse after they find Christina's dead body.The friends find themselves cornered when they discover the front gate to the park is chained shut. Rocco murders Mikey, Randall, and Jason. Laurie remains trapped inside the park while Morgan escapes and goes for help.As he and the sheriff arrive at the funhouse, Deputy Doyle accidentally shoots Morgan's arm when Morgan flags them down. Morgan explains what is happening inside the park. Gerardo joins their group and together, the four of them return to Land of Illusions to rescue the others and take down the killers.Laurie kills Dr. Suave. Manny kills WKDE deejays Bob and Dave in front of the crowd during their live Halloween broadcast from the attraction. Manny then announces to the audience that all of the murders they have witnessed were real. The remaining killers continue attacking panicking patrons.Deputy Doyle, Morgan, and Gerardo regroup with Laurie and go on the offensive while Kate goes after Manny. Doyle shoots The Taxidermist. Morgan and Gerardo kill Animal. Doyle faces off against Rocco and shoots him to the ground.Kate is revealed to be an escaped cult member who is also Manny's daughter. Kate shoots and kills Manny. Dollface attacks Kate. Laurie becomes involved in the fight and watches as Kate and Dollface stab each other to death.Doyle, Morgan, Gerardo, and Laurie escape in the light of day as more police arrive at the park. Rocco suddenly reappears and kills Morgan. The cops riddle Rocco with bullets. Doyle retrieves a shotgun and fires into Rocco at point blank range.Gerardo leaves as Laurie recovers in an ambulance. EMTs announce that they have another survivor and wheel Kate into the ambulance. As the vehicle takes to the road, Laurie realizes Kate is actually Dollface wearing the sheriff's skin.Dollface later escapes the ambulance after leaving it disabled along the side of the road. Back at the funhouse, Rocco reanimates while inside a body bag.

To have any chance of winning, Chris must try out for graduation speaker, vying with an insidious class suck-up, preppie student body president Brad Burris. Meanwhile, fate presents Chris with an opportunity to get to know Mariah. She catches him planting an article in the school paper but doesn't turn him in. Rather, she is surprised and intrigued by this young man, whom she had once pigeonholed as a non-entity.When catty blonde cheerleader Tiffany Fowler discovers Chris and Mariah's budding friendship, she makes sure both of them become social outcasts. To make matters worse, Chris's prankster cohort, Larry, is given a brutal swirlie by a humongous jock named Blotto, while the boorish school dean looks the other way. Such abuse keeps Chris committed to the Pranksters' mission. They get vengeance by sabotaging the Senior Follies, humiliating the dean in the process.The pressure mounts as the dean vows to discover and punish the Pranksters. After Chris beats out Brad Burris for graduation speaker in a nerve-wracking competition, the dean finally catches one of the Pranksters. In support of their fallen comrade, Chris and his fellow Pranksters turn themselves in. The shocked Dean has no choice but to allow Chris to make his graduation speech but warns him he won't graduate if he tries any funny stuff. Chris must now make the most difficult choice of his young life--to continue being a Prankster, to become a suck-up, or something far more difficult--to step up and be himself. It's a dilemma faced by other characters, too, one that is resolved in a climax that is as moving as it is hilarious.

            While waiting outside a convenience store, teenager Logan Wallace witnesses his father Brian getting hit and killed by a speeding car.With Logan's mother Naomi struggling to make ends meet, Naomi's sister Allison offers for Naomi and Logan to stay in her vacant mountain house while it is on the market. The only condition is that Naomi and Logan must be elsewhere during open houses.On their drive up to the remote home, Naomi and Logan are frightened by the sudden appearance of a man in the road. While stopping for groceries, Naomi and Logan meet their odd new neighbor Martha, who mentions that her husband is also deceased.Upon getting settled in the house, Logan explores a long tunnel in the cellar. At night, a car in the driveway shines bright headlights and honks its horn before driving away. Logan goes outside and encounters Martha. Martha asks who Logan is and what he is doing on her property before wandering away confused.Naomi and Logan leave for the afternoon while Realtor Joannie McAllister and her associate Ed host an open house. Naomi and Logan discuss their family's debt problems over lunch. While shopping afterward, Naomi meets store clerk Chris. Logan takes a disliking to Chris when he seemingly flirts with Naomi.Naomi and Logan return home. Ed startles them as he rushes out the door. Logan mentions how odd open houses are because they allow strangers inside that no one monitors.Eerie occurrences begin plaguing Naomi and Logan. The phone rings, but no one speaks on the other end. Logan's cellphone goes missing. Naomi finds the hot water shut off during a shower. Someone slams the basement door on Naomi.Chris comes to the house claiming to be interested in purchasing the property. Naomi allows him to explore on his own.Martha briefly stops by. Martha mentions that Naomi should meet her husband. Naomi remembers Martha saying that her husband died. Logan later has another odd encounter with Martha.The hot water goes out again. A mysterious man is seen stalking around the house unnoticed.Naomi finds a crumpled family photo in the trash. A plumber who comes to inspect the water heater confirms that Martha's husband died, but adds that Martha suffers from Alzheimer's. The plumber also returns Logan's phone, which he found in the basement.Naomi confronts Logan with the cellphone and crumpled photo, accusing him of messing with her for revenge. Logan denies any involvement. The two of them have a blowout argument over Brian's death. Later that night, Logan has a nightmare involving his father.During the next open house, Logan goes for a run while Naomi goes into town. Naomi bumps into Chris. Chris gives Naomi his phone number and tells her to call if they ever need anything.Allison calls Naomi to warn that the Realtor reported a break-in. Naomi and Logan rush home. They find the dinner table set and Christmas music playing before receiving another silent phone call. Naomi calls the police, but officers find no one in the house.Logan decides to call Chris to spend the evening on the couch for peace of mind. Later that night, Logan goes outside to inspect a car in the driveway. He finds Chris dead in the front seat. An unseen man knocks Logan unconscious from behind.The man climbs into bed with Naomi. Naomi finds alarming photos taken by a stalker before the man violently attacks her.Naomi wakes restrained to a chair. The man tortures her. Naomi calls for Logan. Logan recovers and rescues his mother.Logan explores the house looking for a working phone or signs of the intruder. Startled while searching the basement tunnel, Logan accidentally stabs his mother. Naomi warns Logan to run before dying.The man chases Logan. The man manages to take out Logan's contact lenses, rendering him unable to identify his attacker. Logan flees outside and collapses. Martha briefly wanders by.Logan recovers in the morning. Logan runs to a nearby stream. The man catches up to Logan and murders him. The unidentified killer then drives off toward another open house.
