Lizet Upia was born on June 24, 1991 in Brooklyn, New York, to Felix and Maria Upia as the youngest of four. Both of her parents are originally from the Dominican Republic making for a very unique upbringing as first generation in New York City. In the midst of her growing curious nature, at the age of 8, Lizet discovered her passion for singing and the performing arts by way of her childhood church. Here she sang, danced and performed in various productions. Little did she know, this was only the beginning of an incredible journey moving forward with purpose and momentum. By age 15, Lizet embarked on her acting career by joining the prestigious John Robert Powers Modeling and Acting school in New York City.
