With training in a variety of martial arts and weapons (from East to West), she feels most comfortable with a sword or staff in her hand. She spent several decades performing on stage before making the transition to voice-over and on-camera work. The child of two National Park Rangers, she grew up all over the country. Her brother, Bryant Burnett, is a stuntman and stunt rigger. She has extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, martial arts, HEMA, firearms, military tactics, and a variety of weapons systems. She is also an accomplished musician and classically trained singer. While Linsay has been a performer her entire life, she took a few detours along the way. She is a former journalist and was one of four Carnegie Fellows chosen to work with the Brian Ross Investigative Reporting Unit at ABC News in New York and worked as an associate producer, reporter, researcher and production associate for PBS Frontline. Her masters thesis for the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, Frontline: Rape in the Fields (2013), went on to be produced by PBS Frontline, the Center for Investigative Reporting and Univision. The documentary has won the Alfred I. duPont-Colombia Award, John F. Kennedy Journalism Award, Public Radio News Directors Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism.Prior to attending Berkeley, she served as a public affairs sergeant and combat photographer for the U.S. Army's 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), working as a journalist, photographer and videographer. She spent a year in the northern Iraq province of Kirkuk documenting and reporting on combat and humanitarian operations. She also works to give back to veterans as an ambassador for the non-profit organization Pin-Ups for Vets.A consummate geek, Linsay is a producer and streamer for the Dungeons & Dragon streaming network Fabled42. Whether it's Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The X-Files, The Witcher...she's got a passion (and t-shirt) for all things geeky. As the Doctor would say: Space. For all. Now roll for initiative!
