            "Samantha, once jilted by her high school sweetheart Jake during Snowcoming, returns home to honor her football coach father, who's retiring, and runs into Jake, once her sweetheart and now a famous quarterback. Samantha works for a publisher who has just curtailed the line she was editing and sent her back to cook book editing. Jake is constantly hiding from an inquisitive press, especially with rumors swirling that he might be traded.After seeing the library needs updating, Samantha asks Jake to use his celebrity as a draw for a 'Tailgate at the Library' fundraiser. Jake agrees to "Tailgate with Jake" and the attendant publicity induces Cassie, an aggressive reporter, to make the trip to town to stir things up and create news, if necessary. She plants a seed if doubt and distrust with Samantha who sees a possible re-play of her high school heart break when Jake stood her up for the Snow Ball Dance. It would seem, according to Cassie, that history was bound to repeat.Samantha walks out of the library fundraiser without a word to anyone. Jake notices her absence and asks about her departure. On a hunch, he went to the tree house where they had spend romantic time in their youth. He finds her and attempts to convince her that this is not a history re-run. She is skeptical but agrees to attend the Snow Ball event where Samantha's father makes official his retirement as coach and high school teacher and Jake will draw the winner of an autographed football signed by both the coach and Jake.The high school principal makes a surprise announcement: Jake will be the new coach and teacher, foregoing his professional football career to come home. But his agent, Lenny (played by Joe Theismann) plans to talk him out of the decision and reminds him of his obligation to come with him on the plane to a meeting that Jake had previously agreed to attend. Of course, taking the plane means Jake will stand Samantha up again, as he had done many years ago.In a meeting with her father, the school librarian and Samantha, the cat is let out of the bag: Coach and the librarian announce their engagement and the librarian's retirement. Samantha is offered the job and, after a moment's hesitation agrees. Jake leaves, ostensibly to meet the plane with his agent. But, having second thoughts about standing Samantha up at the dance again, Jake surprises Samantha. Kisses finally ensue.

            This film is surprisingly good. There is a sense of realism as well as a few good twists. Diana one of the main characters is talking to her sister in her wedding dress on the internet, when she hears a gunshot. Then another. You are led to the garage where there is film showing the murders of her father and her fiance Brian. The landscape gardener Louis is seen to lean over the body of her father. No gun in his hand, or any proof apart from the usual blood on hands and confused expression. Then it is five years since it happened. Diana still can't face the garage. She comes across as the archetypal spoilt little rich girl. She has buried herself in her grief and is surrounded by the protection of her brother Chris and her solicitor Martin. Then Louis who has been in prison for the murders as she puts it of the two people she loved most in her life escapes. Louis lets himself in with a gun and takes her hostage at gun point. After her hitting him in the face with the top off the toilet cistern (that would hurt) she tries to escape. Angry he ties her to the chair and Diana won't listen as she's blinded by hate. He holds up the picture of his daughter who is going to be adopted if he doesn't prove his innocence to her and she shows no emotion. He is pleading with her to listen and she refuses. She asks where it's going to end and you are left wondering where to next. She is kept overnight in the chair. The battle goes on, with tense interludes when the cleaners come to the house early in the morning. Louis keeps the gun and locks Diana's bedroom door, and as the cleaners knock you wonder what will happen next. The cleaners leave with Louis undiscovered. He tells her that her father was going to loan him some money for his business, and she says there's no proof. Louis implies that they had agreed on a simple handshake. He then proves that her solicitor/lawyer/attorney Martin was due to lose everything because her father had reneged on a deal. With his death Martin came out financially better off. Diana realises that through her grief and her brother and Martin telling her he was guilty that she never really questioned it could be anyone else. Then the door goes and it's two police officers informing Diana that a stolen car has been found a mile or so from her house and that Louis could have used it. He is hiding behind the door and Diana is trying to convince them everything is fine without letting them in. Eventually she invites them in making sure they know she is annoyed by this. They refuse and go away.
He starts to wear Diana down and then they look at the footage of the murders. He is unusually caring and knows that she is upset. He eventually convinces her to look and it finally sinks in something is very wrong. As the film plays on and the father falls after being shot her fiance Brian enters into the garage and Louis convinces her that he must know whoever shot the dad as he doesn't put his hands up. (ever heard of lip reading?) he speaks to the intruder who then shoots him dead. Then on further inspection they notice that Brian's phone is in his hand. As Louis tells her after they analyse the film further that in the CSI's report that Brian's phone was still collecting and sending data for three days after and was never found. Diana tells Louis that he sent her a text telling her how he couldn't wait to see her, and she is finally convinced now that he is telling the truth. They then look at the garage footage of the murders again and when they go to investigate they see the phone had gone down a little drainage duct in the floor. Diana is trying to take the screws out when someone turns up at the door. She is just retrieving the phone, when they see It is Martin the attorney and he comes in, as he enters Louis knocks him out from behind. When he comes to he is tied up in the chair and they start to question him. Diana asks him how come he never told her about her father turning him down for the loans for the deal he was working on. Meanwhile Brian's phone is charging and they are impatiently waiting for it to come on. Martin is pleading with her saying he doesn't know then all hell breaks loose as Diana's brother Chris turns up with his wife. A huge fist fight continues and Diana leaving poor Louis to fight with her brother and the wife sets Martin free who also attacks Louis. You think for a nanosecond they're working together. The fight carries on and Martin gets shot and goes down. Diana sees the film on Brian's phone and that it's him, her brother who killed their dad and her fiance. Chris screams at her how their father was going to give Louis a loan to help him out but had turned him down for the club he was running. He carries on telling her that the club was in serious debt and he owed some loan sharks and his dad refused to bail him out like he had his whole working life. He gets the gun and shoots, Louis and Diana run away and Chris shoots at them again hitting Diana in the shoulder They re running into the woods with Chris and his wife in hot pursuit. Diana is struggling with shock and at the same time is trying to send the video footage of Chris shooting his dad and Brian to the police server Eventually it goes and Louis is also shot down by Chris. He tells Diana to run for her life and he jumps Chris and is strangling him when the police turn up. Diana screams Louis is innocent as she thinks the police are going to shoot him. The police tell her the video was circulating around everywhere so they know that Louis is innocent. They get taken to ambulances and Diana looks on in disgust at her brother and his wife. Louis is somber in the ambulance and they are driven to hospital. Then it shows Diana able to leave her past behind and her going into the family business but back in charge after selling the house and all it's memories. You see Louis with his daughter smiling driving off together with just a loving smile between them. The End.

            Following the events in Category 6: Day of Destruction, the superstorm that hit Chicago is continuing to grow in size and strength, with tornadoes hitting Paris and destroying the Eiffel Tower. Judith Carr (Gina Gershon), the new head of FEMA struggles to coordinate efforts to prepare for the aftermath of the storm and provide aid to ravaged areas. She calls in her former college lover, Dr. Ross Duffy (Cameron Daddo), and her father Senator Ryan Carr (Robert Wagner) to help her try to determine what is causing the storms and how to deal with the political issues. Tommy Tornado (Randy Quaid), who survived his seeming death in the previous film, returns to aid in tracking the storm in the United States, assisted by scientist Faith Clavell (Shannen Doherty). Similar storms are developing around the country and an interaction between urban heat islands and "falling chunks of mesosphere" fuels the storms making them more powerful. Hurricane Eduardo strikes toward Florida while the Category 6 storm hits Buffalo and heads towards New York City.During these catastrophic events, two Christian fundamentalists (James Brolin and Swoosie Kurtz) fake the arrival of the plagues of Egypt to lure in new converts, culminating in their kidnapping of the first-born children of Judith Carr and other high-ranking officials. When Tommy and Faith get their data to FEMA when in New York, Judith realizes that Hurricane Eduardo is heading towards Washington, D.C. and the Category 6 storm in New York is heading in the same direction. When both storms collide with the mesosphere, it turns into a "Category 7" hurricane, obliterating anything in its path. The force of the storm is so massive, that a category 7 could potentially cause a global catastrophe, possibly leading to the apocalypse (hence the title).

            Everyone thinks horror-movie buff Bill Stenson [Robin Dunne] has seen one too many
scifi films when he claims to have seen a UFO land in last night's freak
lightning storm. Still, how do you explain the windowless metal dish
flanked by two gargoyles that appeared just this morning in the empty lot
next to Mr Danvers' house? Why has the government sent in a team of
S.E.T.I. specialists to set up the old observatory? What is causing the
two holes that are appearing on the necks of the Knollwood residents, and
why are they all starting to act weird? [Well, except for Mrs Gibson, who
always was a crotchety old sourpuss.]The next day, as the S.E.T.I. team (Hank, Mike, and Paula set up
their equipment, Hank [James Kee] notices a hot spot on the geothermal scanner, and
they go to investigate. Meanwhile, Bill stops to have another look at the
UFO after delivering Mr Danvers' newspaper. As he reaches out to touch it,
it suddenly begins to glow green, and Bill is knocked to the ground just
as the S.E.T.I. team arrives. As Hank investigates the UFO, Mike [Liviu Lucaci] and Paula [Bianca Brad]
go back to the van for their equipment. No one notices crotchety old Mrs
Gibson until it's too late. When Hank goes to see what is holding up Mike
and Paula, they are gone. When Hank races back to the observatory to check
his geothermal scans, Mr Jonas [Servan Celea] from the Neighborhood Watch pays a visit.
Just as he is about to bite Hank in the neck, Bill and his technogeek
friend, Kevin James [Mak Fyfe], show up. Mr Jonas promises to catch them later and
leaves. Bill notices the hot spot on Hank's geothermal screen and
recognizes it as the old mine shaft. Legend has it that, back in the
1800s, coal miners found the largest diamond in the world. They dubbed it
the "Light of the Moon" but, when they were transporting it to New York,
it disappeared.Tomorrow is the big Knollwood/Huntsville soccer game. When Bill
learns that the players and cheerleaders, including his sister Katie, are
having a pregame party tonight near the old mine, he decides that he has
to keep the kids from going into it. As he and Kevin guard the entrance,
they are surprised to see Hank show up. Kevin volunteers to go for help,
while Bill and Hank enter the mine. On the way back into town, Kevin is
bitten by a vampire. While searching the mine, Bill and Hank come across a
meeting of the vampires, led by Mr Danvers, while the Master, Vlathos from
Lathos, watches. Danvers unites the "Light of the Moon" diamond with two
lesser diamonds, and the light from the moon starts pouring down. The plan
is to harvest the light from the sun and moon and plunge the earth into
eternal darkness. Then shall the vampires feed. Knowing that they are
outnumbered, Bill and Hank decide to call for help but, when Hank tries to
phone out, all the telephone lines appear to be down. When he tries to
drive out of Knollwood, he is stopped by Mr Jonas and his Neighborhood
Watch deputy. Whatever is going on in Knollwood, it looks like Bill and
Hank are on their own.It is the afternoon of the soccer game. While the fans cheer as the
two teams play, Mr Danvers rallies his vampires and they begin biting the
other players. Meanwhile, Hank and Bill constuct a series of reflecting
mirrors out of plywood and tinfoil, which they use to divert the sunlight
and shine it on Vlathos [Cosmin Sofron]. But the sun is setting fast. With no other
option, Bill picks up the Light of the Moon diamond and smashes it on the
floor. Vlathos burns up, and the vampire army turns back into humans.
