
            In 1914, young Sara Crewe (Liesel Matthews) lives in India with her wealthy widowed father, Ralph Crewe (Liam Cunningham), a captain in the British Army. Immersed in Indian culture, Sara absorbs the many stories and folktales she hears from a local woman, Maya (Pushpa Rawal), from whom she also adopts the mantra "all women are princesses." Her circumstances change abruptly with the onset of World War I, meaning Captain Crewe must return to the army barracks. He enrolls Sara at her late mother's girlhood boarding school, Miss Minchin's School for Girls, in New York City. As they sail for America, Sara dreads her impending separation from her beloved father, but is reminded of his devotion when he presents her with a heart-shaped locket which he had given to Sara's mother when they married. The locket contains a photograph of each of Sara's parents, and it instantly becomes her most treasured possession.Sara and Captain Crewe arrive in bustling New York and take a carriage to Sara's new school. They are greeted by the cheerful Amelia Minchin (Rusty Schwimmer), the younger sister of the school's headmistress and director, Miss Maria Minchin (Eleanor Bron). The senior Minchin, a stern woman whose demeanor is in sharp contrast to Amelia's, greets the Crewes with honeyed mannerisms clearly influenced by Captain Crewe's wealth. Wishing his daughter to be as comfortable as possible in her new surroundings, Captain Crewe had spared no expense in securing the school's largest bedroom suite for Sara prior to their arrival, had her beautiful clothes and toys shipped over from India, and promised large monthly payments to ensure Sara's comfort. Miss Minchin gives them a tour of the facilities and introduces Sara to the other pupils during their French lesson. Miss Minchin notices the locket around Sara's neck and attempts, rather sharply, to remove it, asserting that jewelry is against school rules. Sara, however, insists on keeping it, respectfully promising to only wear it in her room during personal time.To say their goodbyes before Captain Crewe's ship departs, Sara and her father are shown into Sara's splendid suite, which is fully prepared and decorated with treasures from India. Captain Crewe presents Sara with a new doll, Emily, whom he says possesses the magical power to act as messenger between them while he is away. He encourages her to believe in magic, for it must be believed to be real. They promise to write to each other every day. Sara then tearfully watches her father's carriage disappear down the road as she sits in her window, cradling Emily.Sara's first morning at school does not go smoothly. She is late for breakfast, not being used to adhering to a schedule, and getting momentarily distracted when she sees her mother's photograph on the wall with other alumni. Miss Minchin, already viewing Sara as spoiled and overindulged, dislikes her further when Monsieur Dufarge (Lomax Study), the French teacher, praises Sara's fluent grasp of the language while still despairing of Miss Minchin's accent and pronunciation. Sara is chided for "talking at the table" after thanking the servant girl, Becky (Vanessa Lee Chester), for serving her porridge at breakfast. Later, in a letter to her father, Sara writes that the school rules are strange to her, but she will endeavor to obey them.Once the enigma of the wealthy new classmate wears off, the other girls begin to approach Sara. A haughty older girl, Lavinia (Taylor Fry), makes no secret of her disdain for Sara's kind nature and passion for storytelling, but the other girls are entranced by Sara's mental library of Indian sagas. Sara forms a close bond with Ermengarde (Heather DeLoach), a bespectacled misfit who endures harsh treatment from both Miss Minchin and Lavinia. Sara's stories and natural empathy give her the ability to calm Lottie (Kelsey Mulrooney), the youngest pupil, who is prone to loud and frequent tantrums. After discovering that the cause of the tantrums is Lottie's misery about her mother's death, Sara tells Lottie that her own mother is dead and in Heaven, and that Lottie's mother is surely there too, living in a palace made of sunflowers and watching over her daughter from above. Amelia Minchin, who was always charged by her sister to handle Lottie's fits, had always been unsuccessful in her attempts, and is immensely relieved that Sara is so effective.Sara is curious about the servant girl, Becky, to whom the girls are expressly forbidden to speak. While the other girls seem to grasp the social point that Becky's being African American "means something," Sara, having grown up away from American culture, sees no logic in it. She sneaks up to the attic where Becky sleeps in pitiful conditions, and witnesses Becky icing her bruised and blistered feet. Becky notices Sara and, startled, tells her they will both be in trouble if Sara comes to the attic again. Sara, saddened by Becky's situation, later leaves her a gift of splendid fur-trimmed slippers and a note of friendship.It soon becomes habit for most of the girls to sneak into Sara's room at night to listen to her stories. She had been telling them, in installments, the saga of Princess Sita, her husband Prince Rama, and the evil ten-headed demon who kept them apart. The girls know it is against the rules to leave their rooms at night, and Miss Minchin's dislike for Sara's imaginative worldview is now known to all the pupils, so Sara encourages them to be quiet during the stories and to leave if there is danger of being found out.The absence of her father is still weighing heavily on Sara, who clings to her doll, Emily, for comfort. She and Ermengarde both feel dejected when the parents of the other pupils come to visit the school. Ermengarde's father had virtually abandoned her at school, attempting to force her to adapt to an environment that was damaging to her happiness and self-esteem. Sara attempts to cheer her up, but is saddened to watch the sea of happy mothers and fathers reunited with their daughters. With a flash of hope, Sara sees a man in military uniform and follows him outside, but her spirits are dashed when she sees he is not Captain Crewe.To celebrate Sara's birthday, as per Captain Crewe's instructions, no expense was to be spared. The girls enjoy a lavish cake and dance in the parlor while Amelia and Ermengarde play a cheerful rag on the piano. Amid the festivities, Miss Minchin receives an unexpected visit from Captain Crewe's solicitor, Mr. Barrow (Vincent Schiavelli), who informs her in private that Captain Crewe is unaccounted for and presumed dead. As such, the British government has seized his fortune and will allow no more payments to Miss Minchin for Sara's care. As she had been expecting a rather large payment for the current month, Miss Minchin is furious and abruptly stops the birthday party, sending all the girls to their rooms except Sara. With little effort at sympathy, Miss Minchin tells Sara that her father is dead, that she has no family nor money, and she must now forfeit all her valuable belongings to Miss Minchin to cover the unpaid debt. In addition, Sara is demoted from student to servant, and is sent to the attic with a drab black frock, one book, a candle, and Emily, the one possession she was permitted to keep. Miss Minchin snatches the locket from Sara's neck, threatens to have her arrested if she keeps another valuable from her, and leaves her alone in the leaky attic with the taunting remark of "You're not a princess any longer." Sara, who had been in a horrified daze since she had heard the news, finally breaks down and weeps for the loss of her father.Sara's new life beings at five o' clock every morning, when she reports to the kitchen to help the cook with breakfast. She now serves porridge to her former classmates, whom Miss Minchin has forbidden any communication with. Ermengarde, Lottie, and her other friends are clearly distressed by Sara's plight. Sara and Becky become close friends and visit with each other through a broken plank in the shared wall of their attic rooms. Becky encourages Sara to continue telling her stories and believing in magic, but Sara is too depressed to embrace her former optimism and imagination.In the large townhouse next door to the school lives Mr. Randolph (Arthur Malet), a wealthy, elderly, wheelchair-bound man whose son, John, recently left to fight in the army. Mr. Randolph's manservant is an imposing Indian gentleman called Ram Dass (Errol Sitahal), who is constantly accompanied by his pet monkey Hanuman. While shopping for groceries at the market, Sara witnesses two Army officers deliver the news of John's disappearance to Mr. Randolph, who is led inside weeping by Ram Dass. During her next market trip, Sara is handed a coin by a kindly boy, whose mother immediately scolds him for giving his money to a "beggar." Sara buys herself a bun from the bakery, but before consuming it, she sees a shabbily-dressed woman with three young children attempting to sell flowers in the market square. Sara gives her treat to one of the children, and their mother insists she have a flower in return, calling her a "princess" for her action. Feeling much empathy for Mr. Randolph's situation, Sara threads the yellow rose through the handles of the old man's front door.With the aid of Becky's friendship, Sara begins to reclaim fragments of her former positive perspective, and even enjoys herself when the two girls play a vengeful prank on Miss Minchin after witnessing her be cruel to a young chimney sweep. She also strikes up a good relationship with Amelia, who confides in Sara her displeasure with her job and her sister's treatment of her. Sara coyly encourages Amelia to pursue a relationship with Francis (Time Winters), the milkman, with whom Amelia had been awkwardly flirting for some time. Meanwhile, Mr. Randolph is taken to an army hospital and asked to identify an anonymous injured soldier, whom the doctors thought might be the old man's missing son. The soldier, wearing bandages around his eyes and afflicted with memory loss, is not John Randolph, but Ram Dass persuades Mr. Randolph to take the man into his home to recuperate, reasoning that the stranger might know what happened to John. Ram Dass has also taken notice of the miserable conditions of Sara and Becky, as his room at the Randolph house is adjacent to their attic quarters, and he and Sara form something of a silent friendship from their respective windows.Sara's friends concoct a daring scheme to retrieve Sara's locket from Miss Minchin's office. When Miss Minchin departs for an errand, Lottie throws a false tantrum to distract Amelia. Ermengarde and a few others sneak into the deserted office and quietly search for the locket, which is soon found in a desk drawer. To their horror, Miss Minchin returns early to fetch a forgotten glove, and the girls are nearly caught in the act. Fortunately, Becky distracts Miss Minchin long enough for the girls to escape to safety. That night, Sara's friends make a risky journey to the attic to return the locket to Sara, who is touched and deeply grateful. Their reunion is halted by the arrival of Miss Minchin, who furiously sends the pupils to their rooms before descending on Sara and Becky. Though Sara hides the locket before Miss Minchin can notice it, and despite her attempts to take the blame for her friends being out of bounds at night, Miss Minchin tells Sara that for the entirety of the next day, Becky will be locked in her attic room while Sara performs both of their workloads, and neither of them will receive any food. She attempts to break Sara's spirit further by taunting Sara's resilient "princess" outlook, but Sara stands firm in her beliefs. Miss Minchin threatens to throw Sara out if she is found with any of the girls again, and storms out in tears of rage.Becky is miserable, seeing no hope for herself or Sara, as they await their punishments. Sara resorts to her imagination, suggesting that they eat an imaginary feast that night to stave off the next day's hunger. Becky eventually is persuaded, and the girls imagine themselves splendidly dressed and enjoying their favorite foods. Ram Dass witnesses their plight from the Randolph house. In the morning, Sara awakens to a miraculous sight: the attic is decked out for a banquet, with luxurious robes waiting for her and Becky, and a table laden with a magnificent breakfast. Ram Dass, through unknown and possibly mystical means, had granted the girls' wish.Fortified by her fantastic morning, Sara is able to endure the double workload that day. After sunset, Amelia sneaks out of a window and happily runs away with Francis the milkman. Miss Minchin, unaware of her sister's departure, finally notices the absence of Sara's locket in her desk drawer and immediately goes to the attic to confront the girl. Miss Minchin is shocked by Ram Dass's fine gifts, and accuses Sara of stealing them. Sara asserts her innocence, but still refuses to incriminate her friends. Miss Minchin furiously informs Sara that she is going to be arrested for theft, locks her and Becky in the attic again, and leaves to call the police.With the clock ticking and a violent thunderstorm outside, Sara and Becky formulate a hasty and dangerous escape plan. They use a long, narrow wooden plank as a bridge between their attic window and the ledge of the Randolph house next door. Sara, terrified but determined, promises to return for Becky, and begins to crawl across the beam on her hands and knees. The beam is unsteady and made slippery from the relentless rain, and Sara is several floors above street level. Just as she makes it to the opposite ledge, Miss Minchin arrives in the attic with the police, all of whom are frozen momentarily by the sight of Sara's escape. Miss Minchin orders the police to stop her, and Sara loses her balance, nearly falling to her death. She dangles from the ledge and manages to claw her way to safety, entering the upstairs window. Miss Minchin tells the police to go next door and find her, and to take Becky as well.Sara, drenched and shaken, wanders through Mr. Randolph's house. She is startled when she encounters a man alone in the drawing room, his eyes and upper face obscured by bandages. He senses her presence, and asks her name. Sara realizes with astonishment that this is her father, very much alive and safe. She rushes to embrace him, but though he is clearly affected by her emotion, he does not remember her. Sara desperately tries to awaken his memories, and grows more panicked as the police and Miss Minchin arrive at the front door. They demand entrance from Mr. Randolph, explaining that there is a runaway child in his house. Amid the chaos, Ram Dass stands silently by as policemen drag Sara, screaming, away from her father. As Sara is being taken to a waiting police vehicle, Ram Dass influences Captain Crewe to remove his bandages and see again. Captain Crewe's mind miraculously clears and he races to the street, shouting his daughter's name. Sara breaks free from the police and leaps into her father's arms as they both weep with joy. Ram Dass looks on, chuckling knowingly.
On a sunny morning soon afterward, Ermengarde and the rest of the girls congregate on the school's front steps to bid farewell to Sara and Becky, who are returning to India to live with Captain Crewe. Sara leaves her doll, Emily, with her friends to act as messenger between them. After hugging Ermengarde, Sara is approached by Lavinia, who, to everyone's great surprise, embraces Sara with a genuine smile. The girls wave goodbye as Captain Crewe, Sara, and Becky depart in a carriage.Miss Minchin no longer holds her lofty position at the school, and is reduced to working as a chimney sweep, reporting to the same boy she had mistreated earlier.

            Ireland 1920: workers from field and country unite to form volunteer guerrilla armies to face the ruthless "Black and Tan" squads that are being shipped from Britain to block Ireland's bid for independence. Driven by a deep sense of duty and a love for his country, Damien abandons his burgeoning career as a doctor and joins his brother, Teddy, in a dangerous and violent fight for freedom.             The story begins with a couple camping in the Scottish Highlands. The woman gives the man a silver letter opener as a present, soon after they are attacked in their tent. Meanwhile, Private Cooper is seen running through a forest in North Wales. He attacks his pursuers, but is overwhelmed and wrestled to the ground. It turns out Cooper was trying to join the special forces, but fails when he refuses to shoot a dog. He is returned to unit by Captain Richard Ryan.Four weeks later, a squad of six regular British Army soldiers, including Cooper, is dropped into the Scottish Highlands. Expecting to carry out a routine training mission, they find the savaged remains of a special forces squad who were part of the same training exercise. The single survivor, Captain Ryan, makes cryptic references to what attacked them. It is noticed that he has been wounded. Unseen antagonists make their presence known as they attack the troops. Whilst retreating, Bruce is impaled on a tree branch and Sergeant Wells is attacked. He is rescued by Cooper and carried to the roadside where the group encounter Megan, a zoologist who takes them to a lonely house. The soldiers that remain are Wells, Cooper, Spoon, Joe, and Terry. As darkness arrives, the house is surrounded by the attackers: to the soldiers' incredulity, these are revealed to be werewolves.After giving Wells treatment, they go to get in the car, but it was destroyed by the werewolves. The soldiers maintain a desperate defense against the werewolves, believing that if they can make it to sunrise, the werewolves will revert to human form. After Terry is abducted and ammunition runs short, they realize that they will not last, and decide try and escape. Spoon creates a distraction while Joe steals a Land Rover from the garage. When he gets in the car, he sees Terry in the garage being eaten by a werewolf. The werewolf rips off Terry's head and throws it at the windshield. Joe drives up to the house door, then realizes that a werewolf was hiding in the back seat. Joe is killed. Ryan transforms into a werewolf due to his previous wounds, but not before revealing in an angry exchange with Cooper that the Government had sent him on a mission to capture a live werewolve in order that they could be investigated and weaponized. A fight ensues and Ryan escapes, running off into the forest. The soldiers try blowing up the barn where Megan tells them the werewolves must be hiding with petrol, gas canisters, matches, and the Land Rover. Once it's been destroyed, Megan reveals that not only were there no werewolves in the barn, she only told them that to destroy their only means of transportation; she is a werewolf as well, and had been suppressing the transformation, but now gives in. Cooper and Wells run upstairs and Spoon runs to the kitchen, blocking the door. The werewolf breaks in and Spoon's rifle jams. He fights the werewolf, but is killed by another. Meanwhile, Wells and Cooper shoot through the floor upstairs to escape the werewolves, dropping into the kitchen. Wells cuts a gas line and blows up the house whilst Cooper hides below in the cellar. Before he can flee, Ryan, transformed into a werewolf, confronts him. Cooper kills him with the silver letter opener and shoots him in the head. He and Megan's dog, Sam, walk off into the woods.

            In 400 A.D., a decadent and weakened Roman Empire nevertheless remains the greatest power on earth. But to the east a fierce new people has arisen, the Huns. An ancient prophecy tells of a great king who will unite the Huns and challenge Rome for control of the world.Young Attila (Rollo Weeks) grows up hearing his father King Mundzuk (Jolyon Baker) talk about future Hun conquest of "the western lands". After their tribe is massacred by another, 10-year-old Attila and his older brother Bleda are raised by their paternal uncle King Rua (Steven Berkoff). The soothsayer Galen (Pauline Lynch) tells Attila of her vision that he is the great king of the ancient prophecy.Years later the adult Attila (Gerard Butler) rides alongside Rua, and a trembling Rome still stands only because the Huns don't know how weak the Empire has become. To deal with the threat, Empress Dowager Placidia (Alice Krige) is forced to turn to former army general Flavius Aetius (Powers Boothe). He had once lived among the Huns, and knows Rua. Placidia had imprisoned Aetius for trying to depose her while she was regent for her son, the current incompetent Emperor Valentinian III (Reg Rogers). Now she releases Aetius, who is joyfully reunited with his daughter Lydia (Kate Steavenson Payne).Attila attacks a village inside Roman territory and brings home several captives, including the woman N'Kara (Simmone Jade McKinnon). Having seen no soldiers during the raid, he concludes that Rome is in fact defenseless and ripe for the taking. Rua, however, refuses to risk waking a sleeping lion. Galen encourages Attila to keep faith in her vision of the god of war. After a hard battle the god fell asleep and dropped his sword, which fell to earth. Whoever finds it will rule the world. While Bleda (Tommy Flanagan) is heir to the childless Rua's throne, Attila is in Galen's visions.Given first choice of Attila's Roman spoils, Bleda spitefully takes N'Kara. Galen urges Attila to be patient; his time will come. Under Hun tradition a woman doesn't belong to a man until she's borne him a child, so Galen also helps N'Kara avoid becoming pregnant by Bleda.The Huns continue making raids into Roman territory. Valentinian wants to strike back, but Aetius advises that shifting Rome's limited military forces to stop the Huns would invite a Visigoth attack. The Huns turned the Visigoths against the Empire in the first place, causing the split into the West ruled by Valentinian and the East ruled by Theodosius (Tim Curry). Rome must avoid fighting the Huns and the Visigoths at the same time.Aetius stages and then "foils" an assassination attempt on Valentinian, making it look like Placidia's doing to regain her former power as regent. The emperor agrees not to act against his mother right away. Aetius then visits Rua and tells him the Visigoths plan to attack both the Huns and Rome. Rua tells Aetius about Attila and Bleda's rivalry, and points out N'Kara among the people.Led by Aetius and Attila, the Romans and Huns soundly defeat the Visigoths in battle. After surrendering to his longtime enemy, Visigoth king Theodoric (Liam Cunningham) asks if "the girl is well". Aetius refuses to say anything about Lydia. Attila accompanies Aetius back to Rome, where Valentinian's sister Honoria (Kirsty Mitchell) loses no time successfully seducing the Hun. After several weeks in Rome, Attila receives the news that Rua is dead and returns home.Bleda is about to be crowned king when Attila challenges him to a duel. That night Galen admits to Attila that Bleda forced her to give him an undetectable poison for the contest. The next morning as the brothers shoot arrows at each other from horseback, Galen performs a magic ritual to transfer her strength to Attila while she absorbs the effects of his injuries. Attila thus survives being shot twice by poisoned arrows, and finally kills Bleda. Galen dies, and Attila claims the throne and N'Kara.Attila unites the various Hun tribes under his rule. N'Kara dies in childbirth. At Galen's grave Attila finds the fabled sword of the god of war. He proceeds to conquer other nations, including parts of the Eastern Roman Empire. Rome remains free, but if the Eastern capital of Constantinople falls then Rome will be the only target left. Aetius prepares to visit Constantinople and deal with the situation personally.Honoria is caught plotting against Valentinian, who sends her with Aetius to the East. Aetius tells Lydia that Honoria is being exiled. Attila's lieutenant Orestes (Andrew Pleavin) tells his king that the Huns are wondering why Attila doesn't attack Rome. Some believe it's because he's afraid of Aetius.In Constantinople a surprised Honoria is given to a convent. To break Attila's grip on the Eastern Empire, Theodosius has devised a plan to assassinate him. One of Theodosius' slave girls, Ildico (also Simmone Jade McKinnon), closely resembles the late N'Kara. Aetius offers to help her avenge the Huns' destruction of her village, and they slip into Attila's camp disguised as commoners. After Theodosius' assassin fails in his mission, Aetius' presence is discovered. Aetius declines Attila's offer to join him, and Attila declines Aetius' request for a peace treaty.Attila sees Ildico among his slaves. A romance blooms, and they are about to marry when a message arrives from Honoria. She offers to marry Attila if he'll rescue her from the convent, with half the Western Roman Empire as her dowry. Attila now has a perfect pretext to attack Rome. Theodosius gleefully sends Honoria home, and wishes Aetius the best of luck against the Huns.While Attila marches on Rome by way of Gaul, Aetius prepares to make a stand at the Roman-held Gallic city of Orleans. Placidia advises him to have a contingency plan in case the city falls. Aetius dismisses the idea of an alliance with the Visigoths, but Placidia knows that an unsuspecting Lydia is Theodoric's daughter. Attila captures Orleans, and Aetius asks Lydia to travel with him to Gaul.Valentinian is relaxing in a bath when Placidia brings in Honoria to beg her brother's forgiveness. After sending his sister back to prison, he confronts his mother about the assassination attempt. Mother and son then realize how Aetius has manipulated them.The Roman and Visigoth armies meet in Gaul. As expected, Theodoric wants his daughter back in exchange for allying with Rome. A last-ditch plea from Aetius fails, and he returns Lydia to the father he stole her from years ago.The Huns engage the Romans and Visigoths near the village of Chalons. When the Huns are about to win, a distraught Aetius declares he'll die there on the battlefield, and as his last action orders his lieutenant to kill Theodoric. The death of their king galvanizes the Visigoths into wresting victory from the jaws of defeat. Theodoric's son Thorismund (Mark Letheren), the new Visigoth king, then ends the alliance and heads home to defend his crown against his scheming brothers. But a stunned Attila, whose holy sword was shattered in the battle, decides to withdraw. Aetius returns to a hero's welcome in Rome.Attila marries Ildico, who takes her revenge by poisoning his drink on their wedding night. With Attila dead, Valentinian decides that Aetius is no longer needed and kills him.Without Attila, there was no one capable of uniting the nations outside Rome's borders. Without Aetius, there was no one capable of protecting Rome. Within a generation the Western Roman Empire fell, and the era later known as the Dark Ages began.

            Eerie images of a raven flying by.Title credits.A man whistling. PC. Rachel Heggie (Pollyanna McIntosh) wakes up from her nightmare right before her alarmclock rings. She finds a raven feather in her bed. She just does her morning work out, and we can see scars from long ago in her body. She leaves the cheap hotel room where she lives for work and when she is walking away, we can see the light turning on in her room and the silhouette of a man inside.Images of a reckless driver. Rachel sees a man and a raven feather falls from him. The young driver, who is going way too fast, cannot stop to a halt and runs over the mysterious man. The young driver, Ceaser Sargison (Brian Vernel) gets off his car saying "Not again, please", but the man is nowhere to be seen. Rachel arrests him, leaving the car stranded in the middle of the deserted street. Sgt. Gene MacReady (Douglas Russell) turns off the computer and says that the young driver is a well-known "customer". He elbows the driver on the stomach, and he throws up on Rachel's shoes, which she finds disgusting.Meanwhile, two adults are having wild sex in a car. He is married, and she finds exciting when he calls her "bitch". She slaps him but they do it again. They are Police Officers as well: PC. Jack Warnock (Bryan Larkin) and PC. Jennifer "Jen" Mundie (Hanna Stanbridge). Caesar was carrying a knife. Jack and Jennifer look for the man, and Rachelf says that there was blood on the headlights of the car, but it looks like it was from a previous victim. The two PC stop by an oil station for some coffee. Caesar is put in a cell but he remains cocky. He tells to another prisoner that he is witness to the rough treatment he's getting, but the other prisoner, called Ralph Beswick (Jonathan Watson), says that he hasn't seen anything.They speak of a battered lady who always retire her charges. Six (Liam Cunnigham) is taken to the police station, but he won't speak at all. He just stares at Rachel. Warnock says that it's the uniform what attracts him. Dr. Duncan Hume (Niall Greig Fulton) checks on the man, and he says that he only has superficial wounds. Six has no phone, no keys, no documents, no money... only a black book with names and strange symbols.He speaks, the lights go off and Dr Hume has a vision of himself arriving home, walls bleeding and him running terrified. Dr Hume says. "He knows." When he is asked what, he says "He knows everything." and tries to kill him. Rachel has to put the doctor in a cell. Beswick mocks Duncan, and Ceasar shows off that he was only looking for something to impress his friends.Six's fingerprints are checked. He says "sticky little fingers" and opens and close his hands. Crows cover Ceasar's abandoned red car. Alexander Russell - that's Six - died in 1883 in Glasgow in a fight. MacReady blames it on a computer mistake. Six says that he can smell revenge. MacReady sees images of doors closing up that make him cranky and nervous.Six, Ceasar, Duncan and Beswick are all in their own solitary cell. Rachel sees herself as a young woman (Sophie Stephanie Farmer) tied to a bed, crying. Jennifer remembers as well and has to leave, almost choking and feeling suffocated. She sees images of herself taking revenge vilently and almost choking. Six gives Rachel the cell keys that had fallen to the floor. When he is on his own, Six asks aloud, "So, who goes first?"Jennifer tells Rachel that they are no friends, and to mind her own business. The Sergeant leaves, letting the three PC with the prisoners, but Jen and Jack are leaving as well, so it will be Rachel on her own. It's 22:10.The Sergeant is driving like crazy and he thinks he has seen Six on the backseat, with white eyes. He drinks while driving, and a blooddied arm appears for half a second by the side of the road.Beswick wonders why Six knows his name. Rachel remembers being raped. She controls herself and takes a look at the black book. She checks on David Brundrige (AKA Acid Bath Murderer), Bryan Hefflington (AKA The Whale), another serial killer. There are more, but they are all deceased. Whatever Six does, it affects Beswick, the wife-beater. Six lights a match, and the shadow of a hand appears threateningly. The monitor of the CCTV goes to blank, and the radio sounds so that Rachel doesn't check on the prisoners. She tells Jack and Jen to enter Beswick's home to check on his wife.An alarm is pounding while Beswick hits himself against the door until he is a bloody mess. Ceasar says that Beswick tried to kill him. Rachel lets him out and Beswick falls to the ground. Duncan says that he can help him. Jack and Jen find out something. Rachel lets Duncan out so that he can help Beswick. Jen and Jack find the corpse of the deceased wife of Beswick, which has been left hanging to death. MakReady is also trying to get rid of a body - it is a bloodied young man who used to be his lover, Mulvey (Jim McCreadie). He drank and killed him with his bear hands.Jen and Jack are shocked with their discovery. Duncan becomes threatening and creepy; Rachel hits him while she feels dizzy and confused by her own visions of Dr. Hume's intentions - it looks like he's also a psychopath, having killed his wife (Kate Gisbourne) and children (Max McCarthy & Ellen Keaveney). MacReady is trying to get rid of his ex-lover's body, and he is scared by his own vision of Six, just staring at him.Six can make a match float. He replies back that all the devils are in this police station when Rachel tells him "Go to hell". Rachel tries to leave, but Six whistles what Rachel's raper used to whistle while he was having sex with her. Finally, the young Rachel gets free and slowly walks away and runs from that everyday-looking house. Rachel tries to compose herself and hold back her tears.MacReady speaks to Rachel sitting on a bed with blood-stained sheets. He also picks up a shotgun from under the bed. Duncan is also justifying himself, saying that patients die all the time of natural causes. Six says that "he is giving Caesar a last chance to remember". He had run over an already bloodied lady (Holly Beattie). The accident left her worse, but he could have saved her if he had taken her to hospital. Instead, he ran away. It's 23:19.Rachel pushes away a crossword with the word DEATH on it. She is still checking on that black book of Six's. Jen and Jack return. Beswick's body is under a blanket. Jen swears a lot and is angry. Six stares at Caesar, who wants to make a confession to Jen and Rachel, but they are too busy and Jen tells Caesar to shut the fuck up. Six says that he's in the business of retribution, not salvation.Rachel paces up and down trying to make sense of it all. Dr. Hume says that he found a "higher calling". Six suggests hanging himself. The black book opens at Warnock's page. He appears to beat and kill a prisoner, pushed by Six, who stings himself with a match, which now looks more like a nail.Warnock justifies the murder of the prisoner. Jack and Jen defend that murder, saying that they "take care of our own". Rachel gives in, but is really distraught.Caesar confesses to Rachel. Six says that the girl died two minutes before. Rachel saw Six from the window of the room where she was kept.Rachel hears Jen saying that she was having sex with Jack and trying to make plausible tales. She interrupts them so that they can't make out.It's 23:41. Jen and Jack attack Rachel, but she puts up a good fight. Jack tries to strangle her, but then MacReady appears, dressed with barbed wire and shooting everybody on sight. Jack is dead. Jen and Rachel lock themselves and hurt MacReady, who now is limping. MacReady smashes the door and shoots Jen, who can still run away with Rachel.Six compliments Rachel on her body. He has decided to take matters on his own hands because of humanity's sins. Outside, MacReady is surrounding the station with petrol and then sets fire to it. It's 23:52.Rachel opens the cells of Six and Caesar. Six says "Thanks, but I think I can handle him."MacReady shoots at fleeing Rachel, Caesar and Jen but fails. Jen is killed by the broken glass at a door. Six stays quiet at his cell. MacReady shoots Rachel at a shoulder and kills Caesar. Six is still calm. MacReady is still alive although he's very burnt. Rachel kills him. Rachel leaves the police station and falls to the floor. After her, Six slowly walks out as well and offers her a cigarette.It's 0:00. It's at that moment when Six collects the souls of the sinners. He crosses them out from his book.Ravens crooning is heard.Six wants Rachel to help him. Six had knocked on Rachel's torturer (Andrew Parker)'s door, and he was a witness of Rachel's fiery survivor spirit. Six says that he will be complete with Rachel.Rachel says "yes" to help him on his tasks.The kiss against the background of the burning police station. "That's my girl", he says.             Emerson (John Cusack) is a wet-work specialist. After an assassination, he tracks down a witness and kills him. The witness's daughter sees this, and Emerson is unable to kill her. His partner Michael Grey (Liam Cunningham) kills the girl instead. Emerson loses his will to do assassinations, and Grey re-assigns him to protect a code announcer, Katherine (Malin Akerman) at a Numbers Station. Numbers Stations are secret facilities that broadcast codes to agents in the field.Emerson reluctantly begins his protection task, which is boring. During a routine transit to the Station, Emerson and Katherine are ambushed. Emerson kills the would-be killers and reports in. Central control tells Emerson that the broadcaster Katherine is compromised and orders him to "retire" her. During the 4 hours they have to wait for reinforcements, he is unable to kill her, and takes care of her instead. They hear drilling from the outside - attackers are still trying to get in.Katherine and Emerson check the audio playback, and realize the previous shift was ambushed and forced to send special codes. Emerson explains that one-time cipher pads are used by agents in the field to receive codes, and they need to reverse the codes sent, in case they are unauthorized assassination orders. In the basement, they find one of the intruders, Max (Richard Brake), and the previous protector David (Bryan Dick), both dead. They also find a laptop connected to the communications center, which has assassination codes for all the top agency directors, including Grey.As Katherine works to reverse the sent codes, Emerson and she begin to bond. They realize the line to the central control center has been compromised, and the kill order was fake, too. Emerson goes back outside to retrieve a cell phone to call for help. Meanwhile, Katherine finds a clue from Meredith (Lucy Griffiths) that allows her to transmit cancel codes. Emerson finds Meredith's body outside, but Derne (Joey Ansah) gets inside. Emerson and Derne fight, and Emerson kills him. Meredith is shot, but gives Emerson the final cancellation code.Emerson calls Grey on the cell phone and reports that Katherine is dead, then sets explosive charges around the Numbers Station. He carries her to the car, but it doesn't start, so he carries her out of the facility gate on foot. He flags down a passing car to take her to the hospital, and realizes the driver is the fake central control operator. They shoot at each other, but Emerson survives and takes her to the hospital and passes out.Some time later, Emerson wakes in the hospital and finds Katherine. Grey arrives, and Emerson convinces him to let them go, since Katherine saved him from assassination. Katherine awakes, and sees Emerson watching over her. End.
