Lauren Chavez-Myers is a born-and-bred Burqueña, which means she savors watermelon mountains, endless blue skies, has an incredibly high tolerance for spicy food, and is proud of her Spanish heritage. She also began performing at an early age, landing her first film role in Terence Hill's spaghetti western The Troublemakers when she was only eight years old, followed by her television debut on The Lazarus Man just a few months later. Around this same time, Chavez-Myers discovered her love of the stage, and continued to pursue both mediums throughout her childhood.After receiving her BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in Orange, California, Chavez-Myers moved back to New Mexico for a few years and immersed herself in the film and television world, working opposite Gary Oldman, Michael Peña, Michael Chernus, Katja Herbers, Skyler Astin, and Josh Brolin, to name a few.It didn't take long for Chavez-Myers to find her passion for producing and directing. She is the co-creator, producer, and star of the feature-length film Dead Billy, now on VOD. She produced and directed the award-winning short "Imagining Vera" with co-producer/writer Elizabeth Dwyer. It swept the 2014 Albuquerque 48 Hour Film Project, including "Best Film" and "Best Director." Other award-winning directing work includes "Frankie & Jude: Star Wars - ANOTHER Star Wars Story" and "Frankie & Jude: Star Wars - Situation Normal" by writer and co-producer, Amy Baklini, which has earned several awards on the festival circuit.In 2010, Chavez-Myers had the life-changing experience of teaming up with Duke City Repertory Theatre, where she was a member of their Resident Acting Company and the Director of Media & Marketing for 5 years.In 2016, Chavez-Myers moved to Los Angeles with her filmmaker husband Rick Galli and their pup Marty McFly.
