Laura was born on March 8 1981. A native of Aberdeen she began performing as a child in local productions of 'The Sound of Music' and 'Annie'. She read history at Aberdeen University where she was part of a drama group called Treading the Boards, and on graduation she came to London to study acting at the Webber Douglas Academy.
