
            Vasu (Dhanush) is a unemployed from a middle-class family. His friends Cheenu (Karthik Kumar) and Ganesh (Karunaas) are settle in life with a decent job, but he continues to struggle to get one due to his poor language skills and inadequate educational qualifications. His father (Raghuvaran), who is a teacher, is always critical of him for being an irresponsible person. One day, Vasu catches a glimpse of a woman named Keerthi (Nayanthara), and immediately falls in love with her. Luckily for him, Vasu finally secures employment in the same firm where she works for a software solutions. He waits to express his love to her and some day on the right moment he reveals his feelings. She immediately turns him down, saying that she comes from an orthodox family and her marriage has already been arranged. A depressed Vasu decides to go vacation on his friend's insist to the ancestor's house in a remote village to forget the recent disaster of his life. But destiny had a different game plan where Vasu and Keerthi are brought together again in the frames to give a second chance to make it. The remaining story briefs will they take advantage of it to correct everything that they narrowly missed earlier.
