
            Jagdish, an army officer, comes home on vacation. His parents want him to get married and have made a choice about the girl, who is Nisha. Initially, Jagdish, thinking that Kajal is too homely decides she is not the apt choice for him. But later, when he sees that Nisha is a boxer, he finds that she is actually a girl with modern outlook and falls for her. One day, while going in a local bus with his friend Balaji, a police officer, a pick-pocketing incident occurs, and the two decide to find out the pick-pocket by checking everyone in the bus. So the bus stops and everyone is made to get down and is checked. A guy, with tensed looks puts something down in the bus, and runs away from the back door of the bus. Jagdish starts to chase him, but later finds the actual pick-pocket is caught at the front door. Thinking that the guy is up to something, he continues chasing him, and when he questions on why he ran away, the bus explodes. Police arrest the guy, who is a sleeper cell and is treated in hospital for his injuires.He escapes from the hospital after killing the doctor, and Balaji, warns Jagdish, to be safe and leave the city the next day, as the escaped sleeper cell might target him. But soon, it is revealed that, Jagdish actually chased him down, once he escaped the hospital and taken him a captive. Jagdish, cuts the guy's finger, and then questions on who was the police officer, who helped in his escape. He then, goes to the police officer's home, and makes him shoot himself. He then finds a sheet of paper with a 12 red-marked dots in the terrorist's bag. He then deduces that those represent various locations in Mumbai city Map. Deducing that the terrorists have planned for a bomb-attack in those locations, he comes to know that the plan is to attack those places at the same time on 12th of that month. On the same day, after attending a marriage of his army friend in a church, Jagdish seeks the help of his army team members. Jagdish, intentionally makes the captured sleeper cell to escape, and Jagdish & team, follow that guy, who meets on the way 11 other sleeper cells. Jagdish & his 11 men team, split and follow each of those 12 sleeper cells, and then shoot all the 12 sleeper cells at the same time.This stirs the anger of the terrorist leader (Vidyut Jamal), who calls the mobile of the captured sleeper cell that was missing from the spot of attack, thinking it must have been taken by the men who were responsible for this. The phone is answered by Jagdish and the terrorist leader warns him that he will track him down and kill him. He deduces that, each of those 12 men who killed the sleeper cells, must be trained physically and also must be good shooters, as all were head-shots. Knowing that everyone was wearing a suit during the assault, he decides that, those guys must have returned from a marriage. With the help of a local corrupt politician, he finds the marriage of an army officer took place on the same date, narrowing down his target to the people who attended that marriage. Jagdish meanwhile, starts thinking on the thread the terrorist leader might follow to track him down, and finalises that he and his men wearing suit during the assault, should be the loop-hole. The terrorist leader, kills the family of the bride, finds from the marriage album that, there were 5 groups of 12 men; he circles out one person in each group photo and decides to kidnap each guy's sister to know which of the groups was responsible. Jagdish reaches the bride's home only to find everyone is dead and sees the album and thinks the terrorist leader might try to target each of the 5 circled guys.But later, when sisters of 3 of those guys are kidnapped, Jagdish finds out the plan and asks his sister to use the scooter of the girl who is about to be kidnapped next. The terrorists thus wrongly kidnap Jagdish's sister. Jagdish then, using his K-9 dog, tracks down the place where his sister is kidnapped and in a subsequent shootout, Jagdish kills all of the terrorists.The terrorist leader in retaliation blasts a shopping complex killing Jagdish's army friend and his family and then blackmails Jagidish that if he does not show up in the place he says, he would kill all other men too. Jagdish, then agrees to him. But he plans to detonate the place where he will meet the terrorist leader, thereby killing the terrorist gang. He asks his friend to follow him using the tracking chip, he inserts in his arm and then plant the bomb in the place where he will meet the leader.The terrorist leader, asks Jagdish to switch between various cars on the way and finally makes him get into a ship. He then reveals, that he has planted bombs in all the cars Jagdish has used in the way and that once the police finds from the surveillance cameras that he is the one who has driven the car to the place, they will brand him a double-agent. When the leader asks Jagdish his last wish, Jagdish wishes to get beaten to death. And after getting beaten very hard, Jagdish challenges him, to uncuff him and then fight him.The leader accepts the challenge and subsequently Jagdish defeats him and escapes with him in a boat, where the both watch the ship getting blasted. Jagdish then shoots the leader saying "Die with the feeling of suspense(of how the ship blasted!)".The film then ends with Jagdish and other army officers boarding a train for the next mission.

            An ambulance driver, a medical-broker, a hospital HR (Pasanga Sivakumar) and a surgeon, were mysteriously abducted at dawn. Alerted by the incidents, Ratnavel (Sathyaraj), a police officer with Tamil Nadu Police nabs the suspect. As the interrogation begins the suspect explains his motive, Maaran (Vijay), popularly known as 5 rupees doctor, as he charges similar amount for treating patients from everyone, arrives for a medical seminar only to be mistaken at Paris Airport due to his cultural identity. After the seminar, Maaran displeases Arjun Zachariah (Hareesh Peradi), another doctor from Chennai, and his offer to team up with him, but develops mutual romantic feelings with his assistant, Anu Pallavi (Kajal Aggarwal). He invites Pallavi and her nagging boss to his magic show, where Arjun is killed deliberately in presumed magic-gone-wrong, shocking his friend Daniel Arockiyaraj (S. J. Surya).After arriving back to Chennai, Maaran gets betrothed to Tara (Samantha), a media anchor. When an autodriver's school-going daughter met with accident, the treatment is delayed deliberately resulting in her death and suicide of her mother. With the help of Vadivu (Vadivelu), the people behind this incident were abducted, tortured and killed. Deducing the events, Daniel's henchmen traps Maaran, but gets thrashed by Vetri (brother of Maaran), who body swaps Maaran and thus gets caught to the police and reveals himself as a magician who killed Arjun in Paris, for his inhumanely approach in medical profession. Vetri then escapes and convinces Pallavi. As Daniel reaches out to Maaran, holding Tara and Sarala as hostage to find the whereabouts of Vetri, the latter traces Vadivu and confronts Vetri. At the same time, Ratnavel reaches blind magician Salim Ghosh (Sangili Murugan) to know the truth.In 1970's, Vetrimaaran, a village wrestler marries Aishwarya (Nithya Menen), a Punjabi and comes back to his native place, Manoor (Madurai district) with his newborn kid (Maaran). He successfully chases out people who wish to build industry, and decides for a temple only to be thwarted by a fire accident resulting in death of kids due to lack of hospital. When Vetrimaaran, Aishwarya and the villagers, finally decides to go for building a hospital Daniel and Arjun were made as the chief doctors of the hospital and ownership also transferred. The hospital soon becomes famous for its free medical treatment to all. However, it soon turns out that Daniel and Arjun were crooks who were after money, and they perform a Caesarean section on Aishwarya when she was in labour with her second child with the intention of extracting more money from Vetrimaaran, even though she could deliver the child normally. While she is fast losing a lot of blood during the operation, that, along with an overdose of anesthesia, leads to her death, and the child was declared stillborn, before she spills the beans on Daniel and Arjun. Determined, Vetrimaaran was beaten to death by Daniel and his henchmen, who also shatter a glass bottle on his son's head, due to which Maaran is unable to recover what happened before he was hit on head; he was safely placed into a Chennai-bound lorry before Vetrimaaran's death.Meanwhile, the second child (Vetri) of Vetrimaaran did not turn out to be stillborn. He was adopted, and taught all the magic tricks from Salim Ghosh. As Maaran reconciles with Vetri, the police arrive and presumably arrest Vetri. However, when Daniel confronts Vetri in prison, it's revealed that he's actually Maaran, as the brothers switched places before the police arrived. Panicked, Daniel calls his nephew, Sesha, who went to threaten Maaran, who is actually Vetri. Vetri slits Sesha's wrist, who runs off, trying to get help. Daniel goes to confront Vetri, who gets hit by Kasi, Daniel's henchman who killed Vetrimaaran. He shows up with an unconscious Maaran. The two brothers, though, spring back up to life, and kill Daniel and Kasi together. Vetri is then arrested for his role in the murders, and sentenced to prison. Before going to jail, he declares that he would continue with the "cleansing process" until all doctors and hospital staff indulging in corrupt practices are eliminated. In prison, Vetri contemplates a television news report in which a young girl had died due to negligent medical treatment, before vanishing off.

            Jeeva (Karthi) is a cool youth who lives life in his own way. A typical Chennai youngster, for him everything is his friends and fun. His father Jayaprakash (Jayaprakash), a call taxi driver showers all love and affection on him. They lead a simple life and derive happiness in whatever they do.One day, Jeeva comes across Priya (Kajal Agarwal) in a wedding ceremony.The wedding ceremony was of their mutual friends and Jeeva claims to be a failed love case and Priya falls for him and at first he doesn't tell her that he likes her but she already knows that she likes him. He plays hard to get until their mutual friend tells Priya that he likes you during a so called date they have. Jeeva gives more hope to Priya and tries to make her become more independent because even when she went to this so called date Priya brought her friend along. One day Jeeva goes up to Priya's father even when Priya begs him not to and says that they like each other. Jeeva eventually gets a good job because that is one of the requirements for him to marry Priya. Eventually Priya becomes acquainted with Jeeva's family and she starts to come over more and Jeeva's father accepts her because he understands that his son loves her and that she is a very nice girl.After few interesting encounters, they soon realize that they share a great rapport and propose to each other in their minds. When all seems to go well, a murder attempt on Jeeva's father disturbs everything.Jeeva's father had witnessed a girl being taken by a gang in his car. The girl gets killed and Jeeva's father decides to knock the doors of justice. Sensing trouble, the gang eventually murders him.The death of his father shatters Jeeva. He vows to take revenge on the killers. He sets out on a mission to identify the culprits and goes running around the town baying for their blood. How he avenges the killers forms the rest of the story.

            Satya (Allu Arjun) loves Deepthi (Kajal Agarwal). A local gangster wants her and kills both of them in the process. Satya goes into coma and is treated by a doctor (Jayasudha). As Satyas body is burnt partly, the doctor performs a surgery and replaces his body with a new look (Ram Charan). Satya with new look and identity finds it easy to take the revenge on the people who is responsible for the death of his lover. Just about when he finishes act of vengeance, he comes to know about a bigger purpose in his life. The rest of the story is all about how he achieved the goal.

            The film opens with an arms exchange deal between the General Secretary of Europol police and the head of the Russian mafia gang in a dense Serbian forest, secured with multiple layers of military personnel. AK, a former counter-terrorist agent, successfully intercepts the deal and secures the weapons drive. Meanwhile, the international counter-terrorist group is on the lookout for him. Aryan, a chief strategist, and his team volunteer to find AK.AK lives happily with his wife Yazhini, who owns and manages an Indian restaurant. Their life is interrupted by a mission to trace a hacker, Natasha from Bulgaria, who is responsible for cracking the security codes of the plutonium weapons. There have already been three man-made seismic activities caused by the explosion of plutonium bombs. She is wanted by the Interpol, CIA, and terrorist groups around the world for her hacking skills. AK's mission is to secure Natasha, thereby preventing the two future seismic quakes targeted in India.AK goes back to Serbia in search of Natasha, where he is guided by APS (Arumai Prakasm), a local translator. He interrogates the hospital doctors in the city and finds that Natasha has undergone plastic facial alteration surgery. Meanwhile, an Albanian gang has hijacked Natasha's boyfriend and tortured him to death. With the help of the pacemaker found in her boyfriend's body, AK traces Natasha and moves her to a safe house.Natasha is unaware the code she decrepit was that of a nuclear weapon. She feels guilty and proposes to diffuse the remaining weapons from a neutrino site. On their way to the site, Natasha is killed by a group of terrorists. Aryan and his team ambush AK and open fire at him. AK survives the ambush and kills two of his ex-teammates. Aryan hires an assassin to kill Yazhini. AK neutralizes the assassins and saves his wife. Later, AK comes to know that Aryan and his teammates belong to the shadow government which controls the economy of the world by war manipulation. Aryan, as a counter-terrorist officer and shadow government agent, forces AK and his pregnant wife into hiding by blaming AK as the most wanted terrorist. AK releases a video challenging Aryan and his group to save Aryan from being assassinated. AK tries to stop the nuclear weapon from blasting by turning off all the satellites by power-hub. To stop AK from continuing his job, Aryan kidnaps AK's wife and keeps her in a secret place. He asks AK whether he will save his wife or stop the bomb. AK beats up Aryan and prevents the plutonium weapon from blasting.The movie ends with AK, Yazhini, and their child going for a long drive, when suddenly, a mission comes for AK.
