Raised in multiple cities such as Sharon, PA, Taylor, MI, Owasso,OK, Skiatook, OK and Sand Springs, OK. Father worked for American Airlines and had to move his family to avoid the many lay-offs during his work with American Airlines. This job did offer Jonnie many opportunities to travel with the airlines to many places and countries.Jonnie was bitten by the acting bug when the filming of "The Outsiders" came to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jonnie was working at the hospital at the time the filming was being done for the burn scene of 'Johnny' in the burn unit. Jonnie walked off the elevator and walked into Matt Dillion! Matt was very friendly and walked her up and down the halls to meet and greet with the various new actors (unknowns at the time!)Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Diane Lane, etc. and was thrown in as a "background extra" since she had the lab coat on.
