            The plot concerns Maurice (Peter O'Toole), an elderly actor who finds himself increasingly attracted to his friend Ian's great-niece Jessie (Jodie Whittaker) while simultaneously finding himself in deteriorating health due to prostate cancer. Maurice's friend describes the great-niece as a trouble maker and a nuisance, but Maurice discovers that Jessie warms up to him when he starts interacting with her. He takes her to the National Gallery in London, England to view his favourite painting, the Rokeby Venus, by the Spanish artist Diego Velázquez.Jessie had expressed interest in modelling (Maurice initially mis-hears this as "yodelling") and Maurice arranges for Jessie to model nude for an art class. As a result of Jessie posing for the art class, and inspired by his favourite painting, Maurice decides to give Jessie the nickname "Venus". Maurice and Jessie develop a passive/aggressive relationship over the course of the film. Maurice is forward in terms of his attraction towards Jessie while Jessie occasionally indulges his whims to a limited extent, such as touching her hand and smelling her neck, but also retracts the indulgences when she feels that he has gone too far. The plot of the film revolves around the evolving friendship or relationship between the two characters. For Maurice, this appears to be the last attempt at something approaching a love life, as his prostate operation has left him impotent. For Jessie, it is less clear what she sees in Maurice. During the course of the film we see her do everything from exploiting him (trying to get him to buy her presents, trying to use his flat to have sex with a boy), taking care of him, flirting with him, and rejecting him sexually to engaging with him as a friend. During the course of the film we learn that she has been rejected by her mother and great-uncle for her promiscuous life style; it is implied that she is drawn to Maurice because he does not judge her as harshly as her family members have.The plot comes to a head when Jessie becomes involved with a boy. The two young lovers convince Maurice to take a walk so that they can have sex. Maurice initially obliges the request, but returns to kick them out of his flat. A scuffle ensues and Jessie knocks down Maurice, injuring him. Jessie leaves with the boy and apparently spends the night out partying with him at clubs, later returning to check on Maurice. When the paramedics arrive, Maurice claims he cannot remember who attacked him, much to Jessie's surprise. Then Maurice calls for "Venus" to take care of him. Jessie, remorseful, agrees to look after Maurice. Some time later, after Maurice has at least partly recovered, he takes Jessie to the seaside at Whitstable in Kent. As they sit down by the water Maurice says to Jessie "Now, we can really talk", and dies, leaning on her.

            Drama about a team of London firefighters. White Watch leader Kev is happy with his lot in life, with a great job and girlfriend - until a traumatic call-out ends with him spending nine months in recovery. His return to work seems to go fine but he is brought crashing back down by a stark reminder of the incident that put him in hospital, and he becomes obsessed with finding out the truth about what happened that night.

            In the rough crime-ridden neighbourhood of Lambeth in South London, nurse Samantha 'Sam' Berrins (Jodie Whittaker) is mugged by a gang of Black British teenagers: Pest (Alex Esmail), Dennis (Franz Drameh), Jerome (Leeon Jones), Biggz (Simon Howard) and their leader Moses (John Boyega). However, something crashes from the sky into a nearby parked car. Sam uses the confusion to run away. Moses tells the gang to "allow it"; instead he wants to see if there is anything to steal from the car. When he approaches it he is attacked and wounded on his face by a creature, which he kills with the help of the others. Realising that it is something rare, they hope to gain a profit from it and go to drug dealer Ron (Nick Frost) for advice. Ron lives on the top floor in the same 25-story high-rise apartment block where the gang lives with their parents and legal guardians.Ron and Brewis (Luke Treadaway), a young zoologist who had come to buy marijuana, agree that it is a strange creature. Moses asks the owner of the flat, and Ron's boss, gangster Hi-Hatz (Jumayn Hunter), if they can keep it in the "weed room", as it is the safest place in the block. He agrees, if Moses, who sells weed for him, starts selling cocaine too, which Moses accepts.While the gang looks out at the city, they see more creatures come down from space in small ships resembling shooting stars, and the boys each go to their home to collect machetes, softball bats, cricket bats, swords, switchblades and firework rockets. Their parents are not told anything. Dennis is told by his father to take their dog for a walk. Two young kids, calling themselves Probs (Sammy Williams) and Mayhem (Michael Ajao), also go to the crash site, eager to prove how tough they are.However, the gang sees that these new aliens are bigger with black fur, huge claws, and light-emitting teeth. They kill Dennis' dog, and the boys flee on foot and on their motorbikes. During the chase, the police catch Moses while the others hide and watch. Sam, in the police van, confirms that Moses was the mugger, but two aliens kill the policemen, and attack the van. The others chase the aliens away with a large firework rocket, and Dennis approaches and lets Moses out of the holding cell in the back; Sam enters it to protect herself from both the aliens and the gang. The three are attacked again but manage to drive off in the van. However, they crash into Hi-Hatz' car in an underground garage. Hatz is enraged. As Sam runs off, the other gang members catch up to Moses and Dennis, just as Hi-Hatz pulls a gun out. Hatz does not believe their story about aliens, until they spot one. Hatz forces his henchman to check it out, but the henchman is then killed by the alien, which Hatz kills with his pistol, as the gang run off.Again chased by aliens, they attempt to get back to the block, but Biggz gets left behind and hides in a garbage container, and an alien bites into Pest's leg. They see Sam going into her flat, and force their way in. She tells them to leave, but they assure her that they are on the same side now, united against the aliens. Sam treats Pest's leg. An alien bursts through her front door, but Moses kills it. Sam is impressed, and decides it is safer to stay with the gang. The gang agrees after Pest convinces the others that she, being a nurse, can still be needed.Hearing dozens of more aliens coming by climbing up the building, they all move to the apartment of some neighbourhood girls named Tia, Dionne, Dimples, and Gloria. They are met with skepticism, but two aliens attack through a window, killing Dennis. One alien is killed by Tia and the girls with a lamp and a skating boots blade, but the second alien is about to kill Moses when Sam comes to his rescue, killing it with a kitchen knife.The girls, recognizing that the creatures only want the boys, kick them out and flee to the street. The gang and Sam decide to go to Ron's safe room on the top floor and hide out there, but are shot at by Hi-Hatz and his two goons. However, they escape. Hi-Hatz and his two goons, being attacked by an alien, try to hide in an elevator, but the goons are killed. Hi-Hatz manages to kill the alien and continues to search for Moses.The gang, joined by Brewis, make their way to Ron's apartment but Jerome is killed by the aliens along the way. They reach Ron's apartment only to find Hi-Hatz inside waiting for them. However, aliens who have climbed the outside of the building attack through the window and kill Hi-Hatz. The survivors; Moses, Pest, Brewis and Sam reach the safety of the weed room.Meanwhile, Biggz, still trapped in the garbage bin on the street by one persistent alien, phones for help, but nobody can help because the police, investigating the death of the two officers, have cordoned off the streets around the apartment block. However, Probs and Mayhem use their super soaker water guns (filled with petrol) to set fire to the alien.Up in the weed room, Brewis sees liquid on Moses' jacket under the UV light and concludes that the first, small alien was a female, who left a pheromone on Moses, and that the black bigger males are attracted to the smell. They also realize that the aliens are blind and use their scene of hearing and smell to look for victims. After they check that Sam does not have any of the pheromone on her, she goes to Moses' empty apartment, where she opens the gas valves to her stove, then leaves the tower block safely. Moses and Sam have come to respect each other, and Moses tells Pest to return Sam's robbed ring to her, which Pest reluctantly does.Moses then straps the dead female alien to his back and runs out of the weed room to his apartment, with all the aliens in tow. Moses throws the dead female alien into his kitchen, where all the males follow, ignites the gas by firing a rocket into the kitchen, and jumps out of his flat, just escaping the explosion which apparently kills all the aliens. Sam, the girls, Biggz, Probs, Mayhem and other people watch as Moses manages to grab onto a British flag hanging on the balcony and survives.Pest, Brewis, Ron and Moses are arrested by the heavily armed Metropolitan Police that show up, but Sam tells the police that they actually saved her life. In the back of the police van, Moses and Pest hear the crowds chanting for Moses, and Moses smiles, knowing that this time he has done something heroic.

            Anna is stuck: shes approaching 30, living like a hermit in her mums garden shed and wondering why the suffragettes ever bothered.She spends her days making videos using her thumbs as actors thumbs that bicker about things like whether Yogi Bear is a moral or existential nihilist. But Anna doesnt show these videos to anyone and no one knows what they are for.A week before her birthday her Mum serves her an ultimatum she needs to move out of the shed, get a haircut that doesnt put her gender in question and stop dressing like a homeless teenager. Naturally, Anna tells her Mum to BACK THE F-OFF.However, when her school friend comes to visit, Annas self-imposed isolation becomes impossible to maintain. Soon she is entangled with a troubled eight year old boy obsessed with Westerns, and the local estate agent whose awkward interpersonal skills continually undermine his attempts to seduce her.This is a story about confronting the things we are most scared of a story that explores the universal themes of being lost and finding yourself, making peace with who you are, and regaining self-confidence and dignity.It is basically the same themes as ROCKY if you think about it. But with thumbs. And a cowboy. And no boxing.

            Set against South Africas breathtaking landscapes, WHITE WEDDING is a high-spirited modern day road comedy about love, commitment, intimacy, friendship, and the unbelievable obstacles that can get in the way of a fairy-tale ending. Ayanda (Zandie Msutwana) is just days away from her lifelong dream of a modern white wedding, complete with a dazzling dress, dozens of bridesmaids, a flamboyant wedding planner and large reception at a fancy hotel. The only problem is that her husband-to-be, the sweet, committed Elvis (Kenneth Nkosi), is 1,000 miles away with his childhood friend and best-man Tumi (Rapulana Seiphemo). What should be a simple, straightforward journey gets seriously derailed, forcing Elvis, Tumi and Rose (Jodie Whittaker), a footloose English doctor they meet along the way to tackle directional mishaps, car accidents, a tag-along goat, and a potentially dangerous encounter with a bar full of redneck Afrikaners seemingly stuck in the era of Apartheid. Ultimately charmed by Elvis infectious spirit, everyone surrounding him becomes determined to get him to his destination.             St Trinian's is an anarchical school for uncontrollable girls in London, England who try to save the school from bankruptcy by stealing the painting 'Girl With A Pearl Earring'. The film starts with Annabel Fritton (Talulah Riley) being admitted to the school. Annabel meets Kelly (Gemma Arterton), the head mean girl of St Trinians. Kelly walks Annabel around the school and introduces each of the different cliques in the school - Posh totty, Chavs, Emos, Geeks and First years. Annabel has a rough first night in the school where her towel and dressing gown are taken from the shower and she is broadcast on the Internet by the other girls while running naked from the shower to the dormitory. She phones her dad (Rupert Everette) and demands to be taken away from the school.Flash Harry pays a visit to the school and makes a deal with the girls for some lab made vodka.A few days later, the school has a hockey match against Annabel's old school - their rivals Cheltenham Ladies College. Their captain is Verity Thwaites (Lucy Punch), the daughter of Geoffrey Thwaites (Colin Firth), the education minister. The girls give a hostile and violent welcome to their visitors and the match ends in a brawl between the two schools.Later in the film, Annabel overhears her father talking with Mrs. Fritton about how he thinks Annabel doesn't fit in with the family and hurts her feelings. Later that day Mrs. Fritton talks to Annabel and makes her a part of the family and gets her to release her anger. The other girls at the school give Annabel a make-over and makes her part of the school. Meanwhile, Geoffrey Thwaites is inspecting the school and the bank is threatening the school with closure.Kelly hears the talk about closure and tells the rest of the school, they then make a plan to save the school which involves getting to the final of "School Challenge" and stealing the painting 'the girl with a pearl earring'. Meanwhile, Annabel is talking to Flash Harry about acting as a gay German art dealer. He initially refuses but Kelly gets him to do the job (as he secretly has feelings for her and does not want to look stupid in front of her). The school team for school challenge is made up of the three of the Posh Tottys, Chelsea, Peaches and Chloe. They get to the final by cheating.During the final Kelly, Taylor and Andrea foil the security for the painting that they're after and eventually retrieve it but on the way back the cable that they used to climb over the top of the audience of the final of school challenge snaps just after Taylor (Kathryn Drysdale) and Andrea (Paloma Faith) get over to the other side. Kelly gets stuck with no other way to get to other side again. Mrs. Fritton sees that Kelly needs help and goes to help, having to knock out Geoffrey Thwaites on the way. Meanwhile, Annabel takes care of Verity Thwaites.The school successfully gets the painting and sells it to Carnaby Fritton who doesn't realise it is not the real one which has been returned under the cover of St Trinians finding it. They get a £50,000 reward for returning the painting and the cash from Carnaby Fritton they pay back the money owed to the bank and St Trinian's doesn't get closed.
