            Indian-born Manmohan Malhotra (Rishi Kapoor) re-located to London, England, established himself, returned to India, got married to Bebo (Nina Wadia), and after four years got a visa for her so that she could live with him. Shortly thereafter, she gave birth to Jasmeet (Katrina Kaif). Manmohan was always embarrassed by Bebo as she was fat and could not speak English. As a result, he always left her out of important occasions, while he socialized. Bebo did not want Jasmeet to end up like her, so she got her educated in an English school, encouraged to mingle with British friends, and Jasmeet was transformed into Jazz - a beautiful young woman, Western in looks, speech, habits, and heart.Her father had set her to meet a young lad, Bobby Bedi (Ritesh Deshmukh), though the date turns out to be a disaster and Bobby rejects her. Manmohan thinks that it is impossible to get him an Indian son-in-law, although his friend, Parvez Khan (Javed Sheikh), is in a similar situation with his son, Imran (Upen Patel), who has a blonde girlfriend, Susan (Tiffany Mulheron). Manmohan takes his family for a tour in India and forces Jasmeet to marry Arjun Singh (Akshay Kumar) who is a villager and does not know how to speak English.On their return to London, Jasmeet announces that she is getting married to Charlie Brown (Clive Standen), who is well educated and has good friends and connections, even with Prince Charles. She refuses to recognize her marriage with Arjun as there is no proof of the wedding. When Jasmeet is introduced to the friends of the Brown family, she is subjected to condescension from them (references to snake charmers, Indian rope tricks, tandoori chicken and so on) as well as a quote from Winston Churchill: 'When we leave India, the country will be in the hands of goons'. Arjun then tells the gentleman about the achievements of India which includes about the derivation of English words from Sanskrit like 'Mother', 'Brother', 'Trigonometry' and 'Geometry'. During this period, Jazz becomes close with Arjun who still supports her. Charlie Brown then has a rugby match against the Indians and Arjun, which the English lose and Brown is verbally racist to the Indians. Imran is then asked by Susan's parents to leave Islam, become a Christian, change his name to Emmanuel or Ian, as well as provide written proof that his family is not associated with terrorists. The film ends on a happy note when Imran decides not to be a Christian and Susan is accepted by Imran's family; Jazz realizes her love for Arjun, runs away from her wedding to Charlie Brown, and goes with Arjun back to India where they are seen riding Arjun's motorcycle. While they are on the motorcycle Arjun reveals that all along he knew how to speak English. They all live happily ever after.

            Ricky (Emraan Hashmi) is a leading fashion photographer, who carries his heart on his sleeve. He's an absolute womanizer. The film begins with Ricky getting a call from Sheena (Udita Goswami), who asks him to meet her in a gym. Once there, the two have a showdown since Ricky had used and dumped Sheena's friend Nisha (Tara Sharma). A heartbroken Nisha had even contemplated attempting suicide.Three years later, Ricky is about to hold an exhibition of his creations when a millionaire walks in and buys the entire lot even before the exhibition has begun. The millionaire, Rajveer aka Raj (Dino Morea), has a pre-condition: Ricky should make Raj's wife Sheena fall in love with him (Ricky). Ricky is perplexed, for he fails to understand why a husband would hire someone to have an affair with his wife. But Raj explains that he wants Sheena to divorce him and this would be possible only if she fell in love with another man.Ricky flies to London, where Raj and Sheena live in a splendid mansion, and gets to work. After some setbacks Sheena and Ricky begin a relationship. The plan seems to be working. Raj catches Ricky and Sheena in bed, but Sheena is unfazed. She refuses to divorce Raj and tells him she is intent on continuing with her relationship with Ricky. Raj is stunned that his plan has failed.Realizing that Sheena wouldn't divorce him, Raj asks Ricky to return to India. But now Ricky refuses since he is enjoying his luxurious lifestyle with Sheena. Raj is stunned again. Nisha attends a party in Raj's mansion. After the party, Nisha is crying outside claiming that she was raped by Ricky. The next morning, Sheena confronts Ricky and in a fit of rage, brutally murders him with a sword.A police investigation begins, and Sheena is the prime suspect. As she is being arrested, Raj suddenly confesses to the murder. When Sheena meets him in jail, he transfers all his property to her name. Coincidentally a stress ball belonging to Raj is with the policeman investigating the case. As the policeman plays with it a hidden camera falls out. Sheena's crime is discovered in the recording found on the camera. She is arrested and she transfers Raj's property back to him. It turns out that the entire series of events was carefully planned by Raj who is actually in love with Nisha.In the end Raj gives Nisha the property papers as a token of his love. As the bewildered policeman stares at Raj and Nisha in the car, Raj throws his 'tension ball' at him and casually says,"Aisa to aksar hota hai" (This happens often).

            This is a movie is widely under-represented or explained incompletely in almost all the online forums. This movie is not just about the love story between Siddharth (Abhishek Bachchan) and Jhanavi (Bhumika Chawla) and their valiant fight with Jhanavi's elder brother who runs a group of goons. In the midst of all the Love and Hate events, there is one incredibly vital yet most under rated character in this movie which finds almost no or very minimal mention - Ganesh (Vijay Raaz). Ganesh's character in the movie is a lesson in itself and as all the incidents narrated in the movie related to his life has an implicit moral telling behind. Siddharth and Ganesh both hail from Allahabad. Siddharth comes to New Delhi to further his study and stays with his sister (Ayesha Jhulka). Siddharth falls in love with Jhanavi who belongs to a conservative Haryanvi family. Jhanavi's elder brother (Mahesh Manjrekar) is a serious stereotypical head of the family who is very protective of his family, mainly his sister. During the movie both Siddharth and Jhanavi's keeps meeting with each other hiding and running from Jhanavi's brother and his men. Ganesh is a rebel in his home who leaves Allahabad for Delhi, with the hope of getting support from his friend Siddharth and earning a lot (in his words "Lakhon kamaenge..raja ki tarah rahenge"). Ganesh's character has been succinctly presented where his current experiences in the city of Delhi has been shown as a result of his mis-deeds in Allahabad. I feel, Ganesh's character is much above than the rest of the lot in the movie (though I am not undermining other roles in any way). Vijay Raaz is an institution in himself. Apart from the perfect dialogue delivery, Allahabadi style and accent, witty comments, Ganesh's character gives the story (which is otherwise cliched) a very different flavour in terms of comedy, funny incidents, his dreadful experiences in the city, etc. Ganesh is faced with the harsh reality of a city life and its people which actually because of his own misdeeds in the past. All his life experiences has been very craftily linked with a related event in the past which leads one to believing in the proverb "As you sow you reap". In the end Ganesh loses all - his money, his watch, his clothes, his hope to meet his friend Siddharth, his one kidney. All his experiences ends in the form of making Ganesh accidentally a "Pettycoat Baba", a saint which is believed by the people (not by Ganesh) to be living in the Himalayas for 250 years. Amidst all this, Siddharth and Jhanavi fights their way to be ONE, ending with a physical fight between Siddharth and Jhanavi's brother. Overall this movie is way beyond only the love story part that finds mention everywhere.

            Deven Chaudhary (Ajay Devgn) lives with his mother (Farida Jalal) and only son Raj (Vatsal Sheth). Deven spends considerable time designing the perfect car, calling it DC - which is very futuristic and more advanced than any other car in the market - and registering its patent. The SUV car is said to have 400BHP and 500NM of torque, as well as making it from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. He also looks after an older model car, handed over to him by his late father, and calls it "Taarzan". He meets with Rakesh Kapoor (Pankaj Dheer) and his partners, who praise his design but decline dealing with him, as they do not want to give royalty as part of the deal.Later, Deven finds that Rakesh and his partners conned him and registered his design under their name. Deven reports this to a police officer, Inspector Sanjay Sharma (Deepak Shirke), but the latter turns out to be on Kapoor's payroll. Kapoor, along with his cronies and Sharma, attack and lock Deven in his car. The car is then pushed into the river, causing a bound and gagged Deven to die. Unaware of the truth behind Deven's death, his mother decides to bring up her grandson alone.Twelve years later, Raj studies at a college and falls in love with a rich girl named Priya (Ayesha Takia). The young Raj now works in the garage of Kartar Singh (Amrish Puri) as a mechanic. One day, Raj discovers Taarzan and recognizes it immediately. He somehow pools money and buys it at a throwaway price, which was 5000 rupees. Raj wants to update the car that reminds him of his father. Little does he know that with the car, he has also brought back his father, whose soul is trapped inside the car.Kartar is moved on learning this and aides Raj in repairing Taarzan. Taarzan is totally revamped and Raj decides to rename it DC, to honour his father's memory. Here, Deven's spirit possesses Taarzan and starts killing all the gentlemen responsible for the murder, including Inspector Sanjay Sharma. Since the car now belongs to Raj, he becomes a suspect in eyes of Inspector Khurana (Gulshan Grover), the investigating officer. Here, Kapoor returns to India after learning that all his partners have died. Kapoor is revealed to be Priya's father.On Priya's insistence, Kapoor goes to meet Raj, but after learning that Raj is Deven's son, Kapoor assumes that Raj has somehow found the truth and is using Priya as a pawn. Kapoor decides to kill Raj and take Priya back with him. Priya and Raj are both clueless, but Raj is shocked when Kapoor tells him the truth. Here, Taarzan comes alive again and in front of disbelieving eyes of Kapoor and Raj, jumps in the ocean to save Raj. Deven's spirit now becomes visible to everybody.In front of Raj, his grandmother, Priya and Inspector Khurana, a terrified Kapoor confesses the crime. Khurana arrests Kapoor, while Deven says his last goodbye to his mother and son. With Raj, his mother and Priya united, Deven's spirit becomes free and he ascends to heaven, with Raj and Priya living a happy life afterwards.

            A slick diamond robbery takes place in India. The robber is none other than Rocky (Chunky Pandey) who's the nephew of Chowksi (Gulshan Grover), a Don based in London. Chowksi tells Rocky to sell the diamond to his brother Lalwani (Asrani) in Dubai. Lalwani is a dealer of smuggled gems and jewellery. But he warns Rocky to stay away from guns and gambling, which is his weakness, to ensure nothing goes wrong.On the other hand, the local mafia in Dubai, Moscow Chikna (Arbaaz Khan) is torturing Choubey (Paresh Rawal) because he was unable to return the money he had loaned from Moscow Chikna. Choubey owns a junk shop and was facing major loses. He gets information about the diamond robbery from one of his informants. He is also made aware of the involvement of the International mafia Chowksi. To keep a low profile, Moscow Chikna asks Choubey to get the diamond for him, only after which he will leave him. Choubey gets along with Raja (Shahid Kapoor), a fast robber, and Tina (Ayesha Takia) who's his niece to plan the robbery of the precious diamond.Luckee (Viveik Oberoi) and Bob (Suresh Menon) own a small video and game parlour in Dubai. To earn a little extra money they also promote new fighters who want to take part in illegal boxing matches in Dubai.J.D (Zakir Hussain) is a big underworld Don, who controls all of Dubai's illegal gambling and fights. J.D's men also get girls from India to Dubai promising them jobs. But once in Dubai, the girls are forced to work in dance clubs. One of them is Payal (Sameera Reddy). But Payal manages to escape from there. J.D is very upset as he really likes her. He orders his men to find her.J.D's men are looking for Payal in the market place. Right there are Bhabhi (Sharmila Tagore) and Bhaiya (Om Puri) who are quiet shaken when they see Payal being taken away by the men. They call Munna (Sunny Deol), who is Bhaiya's brother, to save her. Munna enters in a heroic manner and knocks them out. They all then take Payal home. Payal eventually falls in love with Munna.Munna owns a garage and is known for his strength and power. He is strong and very impulsive. He can knock out anyone and just about anyone in one blow! He doesn't think before getting into a fight because he is aware of his potency. Because of this, he is also approached by Luckee to wrestle with some of the strongest men around.Bhabhi's son dies in an accident two years back, which completely shakes her. Munna then finds Raja, who is a look alike of her dead son. Munna hires Raja to play her son for a handsome amount. Raja is anyway a crook and does anything for money. He agrees to do so. Along with this, Raja is now planning the robbery with Choubey and Tina. They hire Pattu (Johnny Lever), who's famous for his driving skills, to help them flee after the robbery.When Rocky lands in Dubai, he cannot resist the urge of guns and gets in touch with Moscow Chikna to buy guns. Moscow China is well aware who Rocky is and that he has the diamond. He asks Rocky not to pay for the guns instead but bet on his behalf at J.D's illegal bookies. Moscow then instructs Choubey, Raja and Tina to kidnap Rocky outside the bookies. They go to J.D's den to kidnap Rocky but mistakenly kidnap another man and make him unconscious. On realising the mistake and due to the fear of Moscow China they decide to go inside J.D's bookie and rob it. But once they break inside the bookies they realise that all the money has just been taken away by J.D's men. So they come out disappointed and see Rocky. They kidnap Rocky and take him to Choubeys antique shop. Moscow Chikna shoots Rocky and takes the diamond away leaving them with the body.Meanwhile J.D learns that Choubey and his group had attempted to rob his bookies an. Agitated he comes to Choubey's junk shop and finds out that Rocky was the one who was carrying the precious diamond. He tells Choubey and gang that he will spare them only if they get him the diamond.Chowksi who comes down from London realizes that Rocky is missing. To find him he hires G9 (Jackie Shroff).             Karzzzz is an upcoming 2008 Bollywood film, directed by Satish Kaushik. The film stars Himesh Reshammiya and Urmila Matondkar. The film is a remake of "Karz" which starred: Rishi Kapoor, Simi Garewal and Tina Munim. This film might be different than the old one. The film is planned to be released in October 2008. The plot could possibly be quite similar to Farah Khan's "Om Shanti Om", which was also based on Karz.
Urmila Matondkar is all set to reprise the role of Kamini played by Simi Garewal in the original Karz. It is learnt that Urmilas Kamini will be more glamourous than the one we saw in the original. Urmila is all set to do a special dance number in the film called Tandoori Nights. Its not an item song but something more spectacular than that.
