
            In Paris, France, wealthy and aging socialite Madame Adelaide Bonfamille lives with her cat Duchess, and Duchess' three kittens: Berlioz, Toulouse, and Marie. Also in her employ is a butler, named Edgar.One day, Madame sends for her friend, George Hautecourt. The task is to finalize and make up Madame's will. Unknown to the two of them, Edgar is listening in. Madame notes that she has no living relatives, and considers her cats to be just as much a part of her family as anything else. As Edgar listens, he's shocked that Madam is planning to give her entire fortune to them, with the estate to be turned over to Edgar once the cats expire.Of course, Edgar is not at all happy about this, as the cats will easily outlive him! Edgar slips some sleeping pills in the cat's daily serving of cream, and once they have passed out, and night has fallen, he takes them out to the countryside, attempting to abandon them. However, his plans are ruined when a pair of dogs named Lafayette and Napoleon give chase. Edgar abandons the cats in a field before heading back to Paris.The next day, the cats awaken to find themselves not in their home, but in the countryside, and soon meet a cat named Thomas O'Malley. After some talk, O'Malley offers to help get the family back to Madame Bonfamille.Meanwhile, back in Paris, a house-mouse in Madam Bonfamille's residence named Rocquefort confirs with Madame's coach horse, Frou-Frou. Both are unsure what has become of their friends, when Edgar comes into Frou-Frou's stables very chipper. As Frou-Frou can't talk, Edgar shows her the headline from the morning's paper, telling of a mysterious catnapper taking off with Duchess and her children. Edgar seems to think he's gotten away with his little crime...until he realizes that he left his hat and umbrella out in the countryside, and quickly rushes out to retrieve them.Meanwhile, Thomas, Duchess and the kids hitch a ride on a milk truck, before being found out by the driver. They next attempt to follow a train track, until a train causes them to dive off. However, little Marie gets swept up in a nearby river. Thomas jumps in to save her, and the family follows him downstream.They then meet up with two female geese, Abigail and Amelia. The group then follow the two to their Uncle Waldo. Their journey takes them to a restaurant where Uncle Waldo has escaped from becoming the main course. However, being marinated in white wine has caused Uncle Waldo to be quite tipsy.Meanwhile, Edgar returns to the countryside and manages to get back his hat and umbrella, but not before Napoleon and Lafayette attempt to nip at his heels again.Back in Paris, the cats are almost home, but worn out from their trip. O'Malley then takes them to Scat Cat's abode in an abandoned building. Scat Cat and his gang of alley cats entertain the family, before heading off into the night.After the kittens are put to bed, Duchess and O'Malley share a tender moment. While Duchess tells of her eagerness to return to Madame, O'Malley (who has never really known kindness from humans), just thinks Madame sees Duchess and her kittens as housepets. Duchess however, explains that Madame sees them as more than this: they are the equivalent of a family to her.The next morning, O'Malley leads the family back to Madame's mansion. After saying his goodbyes, the cats head to the front door...only to be confronted by Edgar, who quickly throws them in a sack.Rocquefort has seen the whole thing, and after going to Duchess and the kittens in the sack, is told to find O'Malley. Rocquefort runs off and catches up to O'Malley. Thomas heads back to the mansion, and tells Rocquefort to find Scat Cat and his gang.Back in the mansion's stables, Edgar puts the cats into a trunk, telling them of his plans to send them to Timbuktu. He has already called for a truck to pick the trunk up, when O'Malley bursts in and attacks Edgar. Soon after, Scat Cat and his gang arrive to help, while Rocquefort manages to pick the lock and get the cats out. Scat Cat's gang, with some help from Frou-Frou, manage to knock Edgar into the trunk and out the stable's doors, just as the pick-up service arrives, taking it away.Some time afterward, Madame Bonfamille finds that Edgar has gone missing for some unknown reason, and calls on George to repurpose her will, removing him from any inheritance. Thomas is welcomed into the family, and Madam also has chosen to allow her mansion to be a safe haven for all the alley cats in Paris.The film ends with Scat Cat and his gang throwing a wild party at Madame's abode.
    

The Aristocats


            The story begins in a swampy bayou, where a little girl is seen on an abandoned riverboat, dropping a bottle over the side of the boat. The bottle is the carried away by the waters, and after some time, arrives along the shores of New York City, where several mice find it.The bottle is then brought before the International Rescue Aid Society, an organization of mice that gathers inside a luxury suitcase in the basement of the United Nations building. Inside is a note that is recovered by a janitorial mouse named Mr Bernard. After spreading out the message, the Chairman and the Hungarian representative named Miss Bianca then read over the message:"To Morning Side Orphanage, New YorkI am in terrible trouble. Please hurry. Help!Penny."Miss Bianca volunteers to help the little girl, and the Chairman allows her to choose any of the delegates to assist her. To their surprise, Bianca chooses the janitor Bernard. Mr. Chairman is surprised but has no objection, and soon the pair is off to search for clues.Taking a clue from the letter, they head to the Morning Side Orphanage. Searching through the rooms, they eventually find a box with Penny's name on it, along with other belongings. Wondering about why her items would be boxed up, they are interrupted by Rufus, an old cat. At first apprehensive, they soon strike a conversation with Rufus about Penny. Rufus explains about the last time he saw Penny before she disappeared, but also says that since there are no other clues, the Police have since given up the search.Rufus explains to Bernard that even though the girl had appeared to be very happy, the next thing he'd heard was that she had disappeared. Bernard finds it hard to believe that Penny would simply take off, and asks for any further information that Rufus may have for them. Though he hesitates for a moment, Rufus explains about the mysterious involvement of a "trashy lady," whom had offered to take Penny for a ride in her car. He tells them that this woman and her partner run a pawn shop nearby. Bernard and Miss Bianca set off for the place, but Rufus reminds them that even if they were to locate Penny, there isn't much that two little mice will be able to do.Bernard and Miss Bianca arrive at Madame Medusa's pawn shop. A seemingly harmless, yet intimidating, locale full of antiques, diamonds, jewelry and countless other objects. They begin to search the owner's office and backroom, where they discover a first-grade child's writing book, with the name "Penny" written on its cover; Bernard is certain that they've come to the right place to look for clues. The silence is broken first by the sound of a wall cuckoo clock, which succeeds in startling the mouse heroes, and then by that of a telephone ringing, which manages to frighten the two mice, sending them both for cover. The phone continues to ring, and within moments, the store's owner appears thundering through the back door. The woman, annoyed at being called in the middle of the night, answers the phone: "Madame Medusa's pawn shop boutique!" As the two mice listen, they learn that it is a call from someone named Mr. Snoops. As the conversation unravels, they learn that Mr. Snoops has not been able to locate a diamond, to Madame's great dismay, and also that Penny has been sending messages in bottles. Madame Medusa is enfuriated when she hears this and announces that she'll soon be on her way to the Devil's Bayou. The two mice manage to climb into her convertible, but are thrown out of the vehicle after a wild, reckless ride through the quiet streets of New York City. Bernard and Miss Bianca are left feeling helpless on the sidewalk in the middle of the night.The two mice arrive at a New York City airport some time later. Bernard begs Miss Bianca to hurry, since he believes Madame Medusa has already arrived at Devil's Bayou. The two make their way to the headquaters of Albatross Airlines and await there for their flight. Upon looking at a blackboard with information regarding the flight hours to Devil's Bayou, Bernard is dismayed to discover that they've missed their flight by a quarter of an hour. Miss Bianca comforts him by reminding him that flights tend to be late. Moments later, over the intercom, they hear the announcement for flight 13, headed for Devil's Bayou. Bernard is anything but thrilled when he learns that he'll be flying on the flight marked with the dreaded number 13. Orville the albatross attempts to communicate with the control tower, but no one is present to answer his call. Bernard contacts him and with the help of Miss Bianca, gives Orville the required permission to land safely. Miss Bianca watches with excitement as Orville makes his appearance, flying gracefully and then landing face first on the runway. Bernard runs down to greet Orville and asks him if he is hurt. Orville shakes the dust off his feathers and proudly announces that one to be one of his better landings, which does nothing to help Bernard's fear of flying aboard him.
    

The Rescuers


            Early one morning in the Australian Outback, a little boy named Cody is alerted by some animals he knows about a great golden eagle that has been trapped. The boy scales up a high cliff and frees the large eagle named Marahute (pronounces Mare-a-hoo-tay). The eagle thanks Cody by taking it to its nest, where Cody sees several eggs. When Cody asks where the father is, the eagle looks at him sadly. Cody then takes one of Marahute's golden feathers, and the eagle returns him to a forested area.While in the forest, Cody attempts to free a little mouse, when he is snared in a poacher's trap. The trap calls the attention of Percival C McLeach and his lizard, Joanna. McLeach soon notices the golden feather, and after admitting to Cody that he captured and killed the father, demands to know where the mother and her eggs are. Cody attempts to run off, but finds himself cornered over a pit with crocodiles. McLeach then throws Cody's knapsack in the water, and takes the boy away.The little mouse sees this, and rushes to a nearby area to alert another mouse for help.
