Eric (Raphael) Mizrahi, born October 2nd, 1987 is an Israeli cinematographer and director. He won Vilko Filac Award as best cinematography for "Ave Maria" since taking the "risk of having different textures ... and being at the service of the film, showing his personality and expressing the narrative desire of the director" at Kustendorf film and music festival 2016.Mizrahi was born Reshon Lezion at the evening Yum Kipor 1987 to an Egyptian Jew father and a German christian mother who came for a short vacation in Eilat, Israel and fell in love with a local real estate dealer. His mother spoke German and English, but his father spoke only Hebrew so they talked with hands and toes. Mizrahi started shooting photos by using his mother 35mm camera since he was 13 years old. He studied cinematography at Ort Psagot (Magadim - past name), Carmiel and graduated with his debut film "Kol Nidrey" as a director. Mizrahi was not averse to any project in the film industry and was a Gaffer in more than 12 feature films, 30 shorts, 50 Music Videos and Video Art and commercials. In 2015 got his first chance to work as a DOP in the film "Ave Maria". in 2017 He Shot The Short film "Who Ever You Are" who won a European cinematography Award, the shot took place on Waterloo Bridge in London for 8 hours and the film won few prizes and got watched in more then 20 film festival and today the film is under Contract with IndieFlix. in 2020 he's about to shot the feature film "the people war" by Matan Yaniv. since than he is trying to conquer the world as best Director Of Photography.His first great cinematographer appearance was in Ava Maria (2015) which received great appreciation and has won numerous awards, including one for best cinematography - Official Selection Cannes 2015, Dubai International Film Festival Winner 2015 and Ave Maria was also nominated for short live action film at the 88 academy awards (oscar 2016).He had worked on several projects, all received recognition. Since 2012 Mizrahi work on his first feature film as a director and scriptwriter of "Children of a Summer's End"**; a story about an Israeli boy that found shelter in Orphanages in the border of Syria and Israel during a war and fall in love with a Syrian girl who got captured by militants.
