Darius Cottrell was born on Sunday, December 7th, in the family home of his grandparents in Pineville, SC. His first taste of the arts was in high school while attending St. Stephen High School.He served as a Marine and after being honorably discharged, he dove into the world of acting. He did just that by getting cast in the 1999 crime drama "The Generals Daughter", opposite Leslie Stefanson. He has been blessed to be cast opposite of some notable talent like Kerry Washington, Matthew McConaughey, Bradley Cooper, Ice Cube, Rob Morrow, and Daniel Zacapa. He has worked with actors like Don Cheadle, Nick Blood, Adam Sandler and much more.He has done various commercials and print ads. He recently did a campaign for 23andme. If, you ever come across a billboard for Homeless Vets take another look because yes, it is Darius. He is an active person in the community.He recently wrote the screenplay "Sheep Dogs: State of Emergency". Which will soon go into production. Recently, he filmed a short he wrote "Emptiness: Home Again.
