He is an actor, known for King Kong (2005), The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug (2013), The World's Fastest Indian (2005) and A Place To Call Home (2013). His film debut was in Savage Honeymoon (2000), which was initially restricted by the New Zealand Office of Film & Literature Classification to adults over 18 because of a scene where characters throw a barbecue's gas bottle onto a fire and watch it explode.
