Benjamin Franklin


            This episodic TV show is based on the comic "The Umbrella Academy" published by Dark Horse Comics. The backstory is: at the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 babies were born whose mothers were not pregnant when the day started. Sir Reginal Hargreeves (played by Colm Feore) adopted 7 of them leaving 36 to grow up on their own (remember this). The 7 adopted babies were raised to be superheroes and save the world. Sir Reginald named their home The Umbrella Academy.They are: #1 Luther (Tom Harper), #2 Diego (David Castañeda), #3 Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), #4 Klaus (Robert Sheehan), #5 just known as Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), #6 Ben (Justin H. Min) and #7 Vanya (Ellen Page). Sir Reginald prepared his "children" to save the world, after all they have super powers - all except Vanya (remember this, too). But not everything went as smoothly as Sir Reginald planned. Internal strife arose and caused the family to split apart. When the children went in different directions, left were Sir Reginald, his wife - or robot - Grace (Jordan Claire Robbins) and their butler - or chimp - Pogo (Adam Godley).Sir Reginald sees a global apocalypse coming and dies of natural causes - or maybe it is suicide - to get the family members together again. Hence the title of Episode 1: "We Only See Each Other at Weddings and Funerals". Umbrella Academy family members Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, and dead Ben work to avoid the apocalypse. Enter Leonard Peabody (John Magoro) - one of the 36 non-adopted babies (remember them?). Leonard tried to get into the Umbrella Academy but was turned away. So, he acts out his revenge by helping to bring about the apocalypse. He does this by manipulating Vanya (who actually does have super powers). Those super powers had been masked by Sir Reginald's mandatory medication.The first 10 episodes were adapted from the 1st volume of the Dark Horse comic: Apocalypse Suite.

            At this point in history the Pope of Rome had vastly larger powers than the Pope of modern day. The popes of the 15th Century were essentially religious kings, and had wives and children and controlled armies. The series which shows on Showtime covers in the opening Rodrigo Borgia (Jeremy Irons) scheming his way into becoming pope by having his son Cesare Borgia (Francois Arnaud) bribe the voting bishops to elect him as the head of the Roman Catholic Church as Pope Alexander VI. Rodrigo is openly opposed by a group of Cardinals led by Cardinal Della Rovere (Colm Feore) who attempts to poison Rodrigo and discredit him with a hired assassin Micheletto (Sean Harris) who is ultimately turned by Rodrigo's son Cesare and hired as a spy. When Rodrigo takes power he can no longer openly have relations with women and his mistress and mother of his children Vanozza dei Cattanei (Joanne Whalley) objects to his dedication to the church over his attentions toward her. When Rodrigo feels further pressures form the affairs of office he turns to young Guilia Farnese (Lotte Verbeek) for comfort, who in turn becomes good friends to Rodrigo's daughter Lucrezia Borgia (Holliday Grainger), causing further fracturing of the happy Borgia household.

            Sangala, Africa (Don't feel bad if you don't know where it is, it's fictional.)Men drive through the streets of a shantytown with machine guns and young boys in the back of a truck. A man reports to his colonel that he has five boy soldiers.
At the training camp, boys no older than 14 practice shooting with automatic weapons. They swig from presumably laced bottles, woozy and pliant.
Colonel Dubaku gives the boys a pep talk about exterminating cockroaches (i.e. dissenters) and puts a machete in a stoned boy's hands. He whacks at the "cockroach" as the crowd of children cheers.The 24 clock ticks."The following takes place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Events occur in real time."A stuffed shirt carrying a federal subpoena rides in a car.Two young brothers argue as one wants to go into town. The younger says Mr. Benton says they're not supposed to. The older one goes with a friend anyway.A U.N. truck arrives at the boys school. As the boys follow it the first boy sneaks into someone's room and starts going through someone's things. He finds a scarf he likes.Jack Bauer arrives in the doorway. The scarf is from India, Jack was going to give it to his daughter some day. He got it there last summer.
He tells Willie he can keep the scarf, but Jack's gonna need his knife back.Carl Benton comes to talk to Jack with the stuffed shirt, Frank Trammell, the ambassador's chief political officer. Jack knows who he is, he got his messages.
Frank tells him the senate subcommittee has questions about the torture and questioning of prisoners in Jack's custody and tries to serve him. Jack says if they want him, they can come get him.
Trammell tells Benton that Jack's been ducking the subpoena for more than a year across three continents.
Frank tells Benton it'd be a shame for his funding for the boys school to dry up because of Jack.Jack unloads stuff from the supply truck as a Frenchman generally irritates him.3:10
The rebels have more guns than soldiers to carry them. An underling promises Dubaku he'll have his "little soldiers."
Dubaku gets a satellite phone call from Jonas Hodges, your standard issue "24" bad guy in a suit, offering more soldiers if he needs them. Hodges provided the weapons. He wants General Juma to call him later.
Hodges, back in D.C., tells a businessman he doesn't want the transactions traceable by anyone and to deal with it.
On the trading floor a broker named Chris tries to smooth talk a client. He reaches in his drawer for a pill and pops it. Chris is summoned by his boss and passes Hodges on his way into the office.
His boss tells him to burn some records.Benton talks to Jack, telling him he should look at the subpoena. Jack tells Benton not to worry, he'll be gone by dark.
He tells Benton all he has left is his freedom, and he won't let them take that away from him.
We learn Jack called him after 10 years, they're old special ops buddies, and Benton has found a way to live with himself, but first he had to stop running. Benton tells him again Jack's welcome to stay. But Jack says they both know it'd be better if he left.The Frenchman with the supply truck argues with a man saying that nothing is wrong and that Juma isn't stealing children. Willie mentions that his brother Desmond is in town with James. Benton says he'll go into town to find them.
The Frenchman mocks Benton for being worried and says they would have heard if Juma was up to something.The boys play soccer in town.
The men with machine guns drive up, firing into the air. The boys run but they're surrounded. They're told they're now soldiers in the People's Freedom Army and they'll have the honor of fighting the imperialists to take back their land.
One boy wets himself and they laugh at him. As they're distracted James and Desmond make a break for it.
The men take off after them into nearby woods. One of the men fires at them, hitting them. The boys fall and lie still as the man chastises the one who fired, saying they're no good to them dead. But they drive off.3:26
A man and a woman get ready for something in the morning.
The man, Roger, gets a call from Chris, saying he thinks he might be in trouble. Roger assumes Chris has been drinking. Chris wants to meet up. He knows it's terrible timing, but he says it's really important.
His girlfriend isn't happy Roger's making time for Chris, and tells him not to be late for his mother's inauguration.At the White House, Allison Taylor awaits her inauguration. Tom Lennox finds her in the hall and says President Daniels is dealing with an urgent matter. She says he might as well tell her what it is, since it'll be her problem in a matter of hours. There's an impending coup in Sangala.
On a conference call, President Daniels talks to Sangala's prime minister. Lennox tells him Taylor wants to weigh in.
Daniels greets her, pointedly calling her "Senator" Taylor.
She wants to know how Juma could raise an army without them knowing about it. She thinks they need a show of force, but Daniels thinks it isn't their fight.
He ordered the ambassador to begin evacuating all non-military U.S. nationals. She thinks that sends the wrong message.3:33
Benton finds the deflated soccer ball. He sees a buzzard picking at something in the trees. It's one of the boys. Ew.
He calls for Desmond and sees him slumped by a stream. He's alive.At the school, Willie tries to convince Jack to take him and Desmond with him.
Willie says there are too many ghosts around, but Jack asks him to stay and help take care of the other boys.Jack walks away.3:37Thomas runs after him. Benton's on the phone. He tells him about the boys and Juma. They rebels are coming to the school, he wants Jack to hold them off until he gets back. Benton hasn't been able to get through to the embassy for military support.Jack time! He yells at the boys to get in the shelter
The Frenchman still doesn't believe anything is wrong and says the U.N. remains neutral. "Why don't you go hide in the shelter with the other children?" Jack snarls. Take that, surrender monkey.
Jack finds Benton's guns and dynamite as the boys hide under a school room.
Trucks of men with automatic weapons drive up.
Jack starts lobbing dynamite and distracts them. He takes out a few then runs for cover.
It's at least a dozen to one, just how Jack likes it.
They have serious hardware, including a bazooka.
A man creeps around the corner of a building right into Jack's knife. He takes his automatic weapon.
The boys keep quiet, hiding. Jack gets two rebels to follow him into the nearby woods and it's hand to hand combat time. Jack's doing pretty well until a third guy shows up and whacks him with a gun butt.
But the man in charge says to hold off on killing him until he tells them where the children are.
Benton drives nearby with a wounded Desmond in the vehicle.He checks out the scene and finds the rebels stringing Jack up.3:49A helicopter takes off from the embassy as people try to gain entry. But Trammell's only letting in U.S citizens. A woman with a baby pleads with him, but even when she offers to do anything he wants, he coldly says he can't.
Carl Benton calls for him, telling him he needs help. But Trammell can't spare any Marines because they're helping with the evacuation. Trammell says if Benton wants to get the 14 boys out, they have to get to him at the embassy. The last chopper leaves in an hour.The rebels beat on Jack, who, of course, isn't talking. The head guy removes a machete from the fire and singes Jack's ear. The children hear him scream.Jack looks up to see Benton flashing a mirror at him in the distance. The next time the man threatens him, Jack begs, un-Jack-like, to spare him and says he'll show him where the kids are. He describes an underground shelter right where Benton is waiting. Jack faux-sobs. Two men investigate and Benton takes care of them.
Jack grabs his torturer by the neck using his legs, and snaps it, killing him. Benton comes to untie him. He has sponsorship papers for the kids and needs to get them to the embassy, Benton tells him.
They get the kids and load them onto the bus.
The Frenchman U.N. guy refuses to provide an escort and goes off on his own.Jack has one of the rebel's walkie talkies. He says he's going with Carl, who assures Jack that he won't have to go anywhere near the embassy.4:00
The secret service searches Chris at Roger's house. A couple months ago his boss, Nickles, called Chris into his office and wanted him to manage a special project, for which he got paid a ton. But he had to keep his mouth shut. He thought he was "only" helping his boss embezzle money from his own firm. But he recognized one of the account prefixes. The account holder was on the terrorist watch list. He tells Roger about the creepy guy that morning.
Roger tells him he should go to the FBI, but Chris wants to take it to Roger's mom. Chris says he saved some records Nickles told him to destroy. They're on his hard drive at home.
Roger says he's not doing anything until he sees the records from himself. Chris tells him to check his e-mail in an hour.General Juma arrives at the base camp. They have Howitzers positioned to hit any target in the city.Dubaku gets a call from someone. They've caught the Frenchman, who says that Dubaku's brother is dead and he has info on where the boys are. Listening to the walkie, Benton hears that the rebels are right in front of them on the road. He turns off the road and the patrol drives by.
Desmond is developing a fever.4:12
Daniels hands over protocols to Taylor. She's ready to go, but Daniels offers her a drink. She declines but he has one anyway. He toasts her administration and when she says simply "thank you," he corrects her, "thank you, Mr. President."
In the hallway, she complains to her husband that Daniels ordered an evacuation without consulting her. She thinks there might be a reason he made the order that he's hiding.Dubaku wants revenge for his brother's death, but Juma wants him to focus on the coup. Dubaku says he just needs an hour.4:22
Chris arrives home. He starts to copy the data from his computer. He contemplates popping a pill but thinks better of it. He hears a noise in his apartment and goes to investigate. When he returns to his computer, he finds a man there. There's a gun on the desk now. The man asks if the files are everything. He's there to recover them.
Another man comes up behind him and whacks him with a newspaper. The first man says Chris is going to tell them everything he knows and they'll know if he's lying. Duct tape is involved.In the car, Roger's girlfriend harasses him to tell her what Chris's visit was all about. But he says he gave his word to keep it private.
Edward, the driver and secret service agent who frisked Chris, announces they've arrived.Edwards gets a call. The man in Chris apartment tells him they managed to recover the files but they're working to determine their exposure now. The second man injects Chris with something.4:31
Jack, Benton and the boys cross a field and Benton tells Jack to follow the river to get out of there while they follow a safe road into town. They say good-bye and Jack walks off, again.
Just then there's a noise in the distance. They're standing in an open field, exposed, when a helicopter comes around the corner. They run for the trees as the helicopter, with Dubaku inside, fires on them.
He orders the pilot to land.
The kids hurry through the woods. Willie stops, realizing he dropped the scarf Jack gave him. He runs to get it from the brush where it fell.
Benton watches Willie and sees his foot step between two land mines. Benton rushes to keep him from triggering one, pushing him aside. In the process, Benton ends up standing directly on top of it, arming it. Jack inspects it, but Benton knows the make and model. It can't be disabled.
Benton tells Jack there isn't enough time. He asks Jack to take the kids to the embassy. He gives Jack their sponsorship papers. He says he'll try to buy them some time.
Benton tells the kids to go with Jack, nobly saying he'll be right behind them. Jack and Benton exchange knowing man nods.4:38
Dubaku and his men look for the children in the woods. Benton covers up the land mine and raises his rifle over his head. The four or five men and Dubaku approach him, guns drawn. When Benton won't tell Dubaku where Jack is, Dubaku shoots him in the arm. Then the other arm. Benton struggles to stay balanced on the land mine. He mutters where they are and Dubaku steps closer to hear.
Benton looks at Dubaku and tells him to go to hell.Jack hears a large blast in the distance and pauses for a minute, having lost another friend.4:46
In the city, Jack and Thomas guide the kids to the embassy. Jack tells Thomas he's going to give him the papers. When Willie figures out that Benton is dead he runs off, crying. Jack runs after him, telling him Mr. Benton died to make sure he'd be safe. He tells him he's sorry as he gives him a hug.
They hurry, rushing to make the chopper.
Jack notices something amiss in the street and tells Thomas to hide with the boys behind a truck. He homes in on a man walking suspiciously through the crowd, as the man opens his coat to reveal a weapon, Jack shoots him dead. Men begin firing from the rooftops and a street full of people hit the deck. The coup is on.Jack turns to find the young drugged boy who killed the "cockroach" in the opening aiming an automatic weapon at him. Jack tries to talk to him, telling him he can come with them out of the country if he puts his gun down. He promises no one will hurt him. The boy throws down his gun and runs away.
Benton's boys hold hands, then weave through the crowd.At the inauguration, Roger checks his phone, looking for the files from Chris. His mother arrives.
As Taylor greets her son, Edward and Hodges confer off to the side. Edwards tells Hodges they don't need to worry about Roger, that he has no evidence and he'll think his strung-out friend told him something crazy. Hodges tells Edward to keep an eye on Roger.4:52
Chaos reigns at the embassy as desperate citizens try to find sanctuary. Jack pushes his way to the front of the crowd, telling the guard that Trammell is expecting him.
The boys wait in the crush of people, Desmond fading fast.
Trammell arrives and Jack, through the gate, tells him Benton is dead, but he has their paperwork.
Trammell tells him there's a problem: they need the legal guardianship of a U.S. citizen. If Jack surrenders himself, Trammell will waive the requirement. Trammell says whatever happens to them will be on Jack. "I don't have a choice you son of a bitch, open the gate," Jack growls.

Trammell makes Jack go in first, keeping the boys on the other side. Once through, Jack is immediately handcuffed while the guard blocks the boys at the gate. As Jack screams for the boys to be let in, Trammell finally relents. They boys are safe inside as Jack is led away by guards.Allison Taylor takes the oath of office
Hundreds of desperate people are left on the other side of the embassy gates.
Taylor gives her speech over scenes of boys testing automatic weapons in Sangala, the two goons covering Chris's body in concrete and Jack being flown away on the helicopter.
Taylor speaks of apathy, greed and fear threatening freedom.The helicopter takes off at the embassy as the screaming citizens are finally let inside, only to see the last form of transport depart.
Willie reassuringly puts his hand on Jack's shoulder.5:00Scenes from Season 7: Jack testifies at the senate subcommittee, being grilled about torture and saying he doesn't regret his decisions. Taylor making an impassioned plea to stop Juma; a woman briefing Jack that the man behind the threat is someone he knows: Tony Almeida, who is not dead. Then explosions, gun fights, car chases, threats to air traffic control, Chloe saying she's a stay at home mom. Dubaku, apparently not dead, threatening the president. Taylor refusing to bow to threats from Dubaku, a leak at the FBI. Finally, Jack grabbing Tony by the throat: "So help me god, I will kill you and you will stay dead this time."

            In an opening voice-over, an evil race of warriors known as The Necromongers, led by the Lord Marshal (Colm Feore) is sweeping across the galaxy destroying entire planets on there way to their promised land called Underverse. There only weakness is a race of people called Furions which they wiped out, long ago. Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel), is the last surviving Furion in the race.In the next opening scene, a long-haired Riddick is running across the snowy surface of Planet 6 in the U.V. System as a Merc named Toombs (Nick Chinlund) and his crew pursue Riddick in their ship. The Merc flies after Riddick into a cave where Riddick proceeds to kill the crew of the ship saving Toombs for last. Riddick finds out that the bounty for his head is 1.5 million dollars. And was made by someone on the planet Helion Prime. Riddick throws Toombs off of the ship and flies off to Helion Prime.On Helion Prime, we find the bounty was made by the same man Riddick saved from the planet in "Pitch Black" five years ago. Imam (Keith David) has a beautiful wife now and a young daughter. Imam explains to Riddick that he had Jack/Jackie (the gender confused girl from Pitch Black) in his care and then she ran away looking for Riddick and she killed some people and is now residing in a prison on the planet Crematoria. A ghost-like person Aereon (Judi Dench) shows up at Imam's house and explains to Riddick what the Necromongers can do and that they need his help.Just then we see that Helion Prime guards are trying to break down Imam's doors because he has an escaped convict in there. They break through and find Riddick in a dark room with just candles lit. He then says "I hope your not afraid of the dark" and then burns out the candles with his hands and kills all the guards thanks to his night vision eyes.We then see the Necromonger ships landing on Helion Prime. The Necromongers storm out of there ships killing everything in sight. They find Imam and his family and Imam leads the guards away from his family and they kill him.In what looks like the town hall, the Necromongers have gathered all of the remaining people in a town hall. In there we meet the four main Necromonger leaders, Lord Marshal (Colm Feore), The Purifier (Linus Roache), Vaako (Karl Urban), and Vaako's wife Dame Vaako (Thandie Newton). The Purifier explains to all the people that if they don't convert to the Necromonger way they will all be killed. Lord Marshal then tells all those who want to join the Necromonger way to bow down. One townsman speaks out and says they will not bow down to him. Marshal approaches the man and becomes a ghost like form and takes out the man's soul. The man falls dead to the floor. Everyone bows down... except for Riddick. Vaako approaches Riddick and tells him to bow or die. Riddick points out a huge muscular soldier with two axes and says he'd like to take him on. The soldier, Irgun, who was responsible for killing Imam, approaches Riddick and swings his axes at him. Riddick grabs Imam's knife, still stuck in Irgun's armor, and stabs him with it. Lord Marshal claims that was his best man. Lord Marshal has Dame Vaako take Riddick back to the main ship.Riddick is now on the main ship and he sees all the townspeople being converted (when you're converted they make a hole in your neck). Lord Marshal tells this machine to run a test on Riddick to see what race he is from. The machine starts screaming that Riddick is a Furion and that they must kill him now. Riddick shoots his way out of the ship back onto the Helion Prime surface. We see a Necromonger battleship chasing Riddick through the streets. We then see rockets hitting the battle ship sending it crashing to the ground. We find out the rockets came from Toomb's new crew of Merc's. They capture Riddick and take them back to Toomb's ship.We see Lord Marshal ordering Vaako to personally track down Riddick and kill him. Vaako asks why he needs Riddick dead so badly. Marshal explains that in a vision he was told he would be killed by a Furion and Riddick is the only Furion left.We then see Dame Vaako talking to Vaako, telling him that if Vaako killed Marshal he would automatically become the new king. Vaako ponders this thought and then heads out in search of Riddick.Riddick wakes up in chains on Toomb's ship. They say they're going to turn Riddick over to a prison planet and collect the money on his head. Riddick suggests they go to a prison on the planet Crematoria (where Jack/Jackie) is being held. We find out that Crematoria is a planet that if you step onto the surface you will burst into flames and die because of the heat.The ship lands in a hangar on Crematoria. Toombs and his men take Riddick on a little train to the underground prison of Crematoria. The Prison Director invites Toombs and his crew to stay overnight there so they can discuss the amount of money he will be paying for Riddick. As they are talking Riddick is wandering around the prison looking for Jack/Jackie. He finds her. She tells him that she befriended some Merc's and they took her in as a slave. She killed them and got sent here. She says she no longer goes by Jack/Jackie but now her name is Kyra (Alexa Davalos).Riddick tells her that they are going to escape from here. We see the suns pattern on the surface and how it works. Ever so often there is shade. Then the sun comes back and burns up everything in sight. After a long discussion Toombs and his crew don't agree with the Prison Director on how much money there being paid for Riddick. They end up killing each other and die.Riddick releases a bunch of the prisoners and explains there going to have to travel on the surface to get back to Toombs ship. We find out that they are racing a bunch of Merc's who are traveling underground to get to the same ship.On the surface they run to the hangar. When they get there they see a small army of Necromongers, led by Vaako at the hangar. The Hangar doors open and the Merc's engage in gunfire against the Necromongers as Riddick and Kyra watch from the mountains. They turn around and see the suns rays closing in on them. They run down the mountain and join the battle.Kyra is knocked out by one of the Necromongers and taken prisoner onto there ship. Riddick is shot by Vaako, and he lies out in the open as the suns rays burn Riddick up. Vaako and the Necromongers leave with Kyra.Riddick wakes up in the hangar. He notices he is not alone as The Purifier is there with him. The Purifier is removing all of his Necromonger armor and explains to Riddick that he was also once a Furion. He leaves Riddick all of his armor and walks into the suns rays burning him up and he dies.Riddick steals Toomb's ship and flies it back to Helion Prime wearing Necromonger armor. On the Necromonger ship Dame Vaako sees that Riddick is on board because she saw his glowing eyes through the armor. She runs back to Vaako and informs him that Riddick is on board. She tells him to let Riddick almost kill Marshal and then kill Marshal so Vaako will become the new king of the Necromongers.Riddick finds Lord Marshal in the thrown room and tries to stab him from behind but Vaako uses his ghost like abilities to teleport to somewhere else. Marshal then shows Riddick the new and improved Kyra. She has a hole in her neck and has been converted to Necromonger. Necromongers form a circle around Riddick and Marshal as they begin to fight. Every time Riddick swings at Marshal, he teleports somewhere else.(But you can always see where he's going to teleport because the ghost form of him moves there first and then Marshal follows.)Marshal tackles Riddick to the ground and tries to remove his soul. Kyra runs in and stabs Marshal in the back. Marshal hits Kyra backwards impaling her onto a pole, killing her. Vaako then steps in with a huge axe. Marshal asks Vaako to finish Riddick off for him but Vaako moves towards Marshal. Vaako raises the axe to Marshal's head and Marshal's ghost form teleports over to Riddick as Vaako brings the axe down and misses. Riddick takes a knife and stabs it down into Marshal's head and breaks off the handle. Riddick falls back into Lord Marshal's thrown. Aereon approaches Riddick and tells him "You keep what you kill". We pan out as we see all the Necromongers bow down to Riddick in his thrown as he is now the new leader of the Necromongers.

Outbreak: Anatomy of a Plague


            The film opens in Ohio where a young woman named Margaret St. James (Brittany Allen) escapes from a home where she was held captive. She runs toward the road and gets a woman to stop and help her, and she sees that Margaret's right hand has been severed.Meanwhile in Pennsylvania, a couple named John (Peter Mooney) and Sarah Bloom (Taylor Schilling) are heading to the hospital for the arrival of their baby. As Sarah goes into labor, police in Ohio arrive outside the home of Edward Scarka (Paul Fauteux), the man who captured Margaret. He walks outside nude to surrender with something behind his back as the officers have their guns drawn on him. Scarka raises his hand and is gunned down. They see that he is holding Margaret's hand. Moments after Scarka dies, the Blooms' son Miles is born with blood in the same places where Scarka was shot.Over time, Miles turns out to be an oddly calm child. He doesn't cry when getting shots (or just doesn't cry ever), but also demonstrates unsettling behavior, like grabbing a spider just to crush it, and then speaking Hungarian in his sleep. Sarah also notes to her friend that Miles has heterochromia (two different eye colors).Miles grows to be eight years old (now played by Jackson Robert Scott). John and Sarah go out on a date and leave him with a babysitter named Zoe (Elisa Moolecherry). After watching TV, Zoe offers to play Hide and Seek with Miles before putting him to bed. As he goes to hide, he loosens a light bulb to the basement. Zoe walks downstairs to find him while barefoot, ending with her stepping on a broken glass cup and getting a large shard stuck in there. When Sarah talks to Miles about it, he claims to not remember even playing the game, let alone how Zoe ended up at the bottom of the stairs with a bloody foot.As Miles sleeps later that night, Sarah goes into his room and hears him whisper "Go fuck yourself." He starts to speak Hungarian again before waking up startled. Sarah suggests he had a bad dream, but he says he was having a good dream.Another incident occurs at school when Miles wants to work on a project with a girl, but she is already working with another boy. Miles goes to the janitor's closet and grabs a wrench before bringing it back to class to beat the boy. Miles is later taken to see a psychologist named Dr. Elaine Strasser (Paula Boudreau). She later meets with Sarah and a colleague named Arthur Jacobsen (Colm Feore). They reviewed a tape that Sarah recorded of Miles speaking Hungarian, and Arthur says that it's a rare dialect that only a small portion of people in Hungary speak. It translates to something threatening and insulting toward a woman. Arthur mentions a time he went to India and spoke to a six-year-old boy named Padman who claimed to have remembered a past life of his, including his siblings, his mother's favorite song, and the moment in which he died by drowning. He suggests that Miles has a separate personality in his head and that they need to get Miles to be his normal self before the dark personality becomes dominant. Sarah dismisses what the two say as ridiculous, but they give her a video to watch on a similar case.The family's dog Tallulah disappears. John takes Miles to go looking for her on the streets, and Miles starts making disturbing comments alluding to Tallulah being dead, as well as the abuse John suffered at the hands of his father. John confronts Sarah about this since he thought she said something to Miles, but they discover that the boy had placed a camera behind a picture of them to spy on them. After Miles later suggests that John had been abusing him, John angrily steps out of the house and stays elsewhere for a while.Sarah wakes up at night and finds Miles at the end of the hallway crying for her. She calls for him to run to her, but as he runs through the darkness, he briefly morphs into Scarka and grabs Sarah. This is just a nightmare that she wakes up from. Miles then comes into her room and asks to sleep next to her for the night. Miles lays beside her and reaches for her hand. He asks Sarah if he will always love him no matter what he does, and Sarah hesitantly replies yes. Soon, Sarah notices flies buzzing around the room, and throughout most of the house. She goes to the basement and smells something awful. On the floor is blood and a rotted severed paw. Sarah sees something at the bottom propped up with a wooden board and knows that Tallulah is in there. She tries to pry the board back until Miles brings her a hammer to to do. Sarah pulls it off and Tallulah's body spills out, her throat having been cut. After John returns to find out about this, they decide they have to do whatever it takes to make Miles normal.Sarah brings Miles to visit Arthur. He meets with Miles privately to hypnotize him and bring out the good Miles personality before the Scarka personality takes over. Miles appears possessed and starts scratching into the couch before Scarka starts to speak for Miles, and he threatens Arthur with making it look like he had been drugged and molested if Arthur tries to fix Miles. He orders Arthur to tell Sarah that the process didn't work. After they leave, Arthur notices that Miles managed to scratch Scarka's name into the couch. Arthur calls Sarah late at night to get her to look up Scarka's name on the computer where Miles can't see her. She learns that Scarka was a serial killer who murdered multiple women and always severed and kept one of their hands as a trophy. Scarka also had heterochromia and died 15 minutes before Miles was born. Arthur figures that Scarka may have come back because he feels he has unfinished business.Sarah goes into Miles's room and discovers that he (or Scarka) has been keeping newspaper clippings and articles on Margaret, who went on to write a memoir about her ordeal with Scarka. Sarah realizes that Scarka's soul still lingers because his unfinished business is Margaret.John and Sarah prepare to take Miles to a hospital to help him. As John drives him away from home, he starts tearfully telling Miles that he loves him. The boy responds by cutting John's seat belt with scissors and then stabbing him in the side, causing John to crash into a tree. Sarah finds them at the hospital and is told by the doctor that John must be kept in a coma for a few weeks as the swelling in his brain goes down.Sarah decides it is time to end things once and for all. She takes Miles and gives him sleeping pills so he won't see her go into a store to purchase a gun. She drives to Margaret's house and pretends to be a victim that was inspired by her book so that Margaret will allow her inside. After talking, Sarah goes to the bathroom and vomits as she is not prepared to kill an innocent woman. She loads her gun and draws it on Sarah, but she ultimately can't pull the trigger. Margaret then sees Miles has broken in and is holding a knife. He says the same line to her that Scarka did when she met him, regarding his different color eyes. Miles stabs Margaret and gets her on the floor, stabbing her again in the stomach and then slashing it before he snarls to her that she never should have run away from him. Sarah tries to help Margaret, but it is useless. She runs after Miles as he walks through a field. Sarah yells at Scarka and asks why he is still there if his business is complete. He tells her that the boy that was Miles was gone the moment Sarah said she would love him no matter what he did, and now Scarka is in full control of the body. Sarah takes her gun out to shoot him, but she is shot down by a neighbor. Scarka feigns the innocent boy persona and runs to the man for comfort as Sarah slowly dies.Sometime later, Scarka, still fooling others as Miles, is taken in by a foster family. The mother invites him inside, and he focuses on her hands. As the boy walks up to his room, he looks in the mirror to see Scarka's reflection staring back at him.

            The film starts with Richland (Feore), who was sent to visit a government facility on a remote island. He follows Peniston (Esposito) into the facility. The head scientist Dr. Bishop (Reineke) shows them the projects he is working on, including a shark and dolphin hybrid with the ability to adapt to any environment, as well as a human and shark hybrid (the creature). It breaks free from its tank and kills Dr. Bishop. Richland orders Peniston to kill it, but Peniston instead traps the Creature in a containment unit and dumps it in the sea.25 years later...Dr. Chase (Nelson), a marine biologist, and his assistant, Tall Man (Williams), find a pregnant female Great White Shark trapped in Ben Mediera's (Alyward) nets. Dr. Chase sets it free. Meanwhile, a local fisherman, Puckett (Burke), retrieves the containment unit and accidentally releases the creature. Mediera is later eaten by the creature. Dr. Chase & Tall Man meet Dr. Macy (Cattrall), her sea lion named Robin, and Dr. Chase's son, Max (Carey), at the airport. As Dr. Chase & Dr. Macy prepare to out on the ocean, Max goes into town. He meets the native kids including Elizabeth (Echikunwoke), the chief's daughter. The local boys tell him he'll have to take the test of bravery and jump from a tall cliff.Mediera's body is found and police Chief Gibson asks Dr. Chase to inspect the body. Chase says even though there is a great white out there it is not the culprit and tells the chief not to let people go after the innocent shark. Dr. Chase and Dr. Macy leave and prepare to go out and find the real culprit. Tall Man arrives, escorted by his girlfriend, Tauna (Michele). Peniston, who has gone crazy and is called 'Werewolf' by the locals, sees the empty containment unit after Puckett brings it ashore. He realizes Mediera was not killed by a shark. Dr. Chase and Dr. Macy are unable to find the Creature and return to Dr. Chase's headquarters (formerly the research facility where the creature was born). Dr. Macy reveals Dr. Chase studies why sharks do not get cancer, which his best friend died from.Meanwhile the kids take turns jumping of the cliff, unaware the creature is lurking right below them. Max and another boy named Kimo jump in. The creature mauls Kimo to death, but Max escapes. When Kimo's body is found, the chief is furious and, no longer listening to Dr. Chase, orders all the fisherman to hunt for the great white. The islanders, including Puckett, accuse Chase and Macy of performing witchcraft on the shark. Dr.Chase, Dr. Macy, Max and Tall Man search for the Creature again; this time with success. The creature attacks their boat, but they escape. By this time, Puckett has killed the great white and the islanders celebrate, believing the danger is past. Dr. Chase tells the chief that they are not safe and that he has seen the Creature. However, the chief refuses to believe him. They do research at Dr. Chase's headquarters, and are soon put into contact with Richland. Richland tells Dr. Chase not to do anything until he arrives. Dr. Chase argues that more people could die if they do not take action but Richland does not care. Richland and a troop of NAVY SEALs board a helicopter and set off for the island. Dr. Chase ignores Richland's warning and goes back out into his boat. Peniston uses a horn to attract the creature, which is attracted to noise. The creature attacks him, but Dr. Chase and friends save him. They bring him back to their headquarters.The next day Dr. Chase discovers claw marks on his boat (proof of his theory of the Great White's innocence). Later, Peniston shows them a secret tunnel leading to the actual research facility. Meanwhile, Richland and the SEALs approach the island in their helicopter. Dr. Chase and Dr. Macy go down the tunnel and discover it to be half flooded, most likely connected to the ocean. They also discover equipment and notes. They find some of Puckett's traps and wonder how they got there. By the time they realize who brought them, it is too late: the creature ambushes them. They run and the creature gives pursuit, but is only able to go so far until it can't catch up because its arms and legs are short and weak out of water. It stops and evolves its arms and legs until they are like that of a human. The creature resumes chase. The doctor and her friends manage to escape and reseal the tunnel blocking the creature. They leave the research facility by boat. The creature attacks them when they reach the dock. It is about to kill Max, but then lets him live.Dr. Macy goes to the town doctor and says that she has claw wounds. Dr. Chase discusses the encounter with Chief Gibson, but he still refuses to believe. They decide to send Max back to the States. Elizabeth stops him and says that she can't find her cousin. Elizabeth claims the only place she could be is at the old rum factory (which is now used as a club and place for teenagers to go). They then leave to find it. Puckett goes diving and is killed by the creature. Dr. Chase, Dr. Macy, and Peniston return to headquarters only to be ambushed by Richland and his thugs. He sends a few of his cronies to explore the tunnels. Meanwhile, Max & Elizabeth find the old rum factory out in the swamp. They enter, but don't find her cousin, only Tauna. They head outside to look in the swamp when suddenly a man's head floats to the surface. Max recognizes it as Puckett's. They run away, but the creature jumps out of a tree and chases them.Dr. Chase examines the stuff in the tunnel but Richland destroys it and threatens Chase. The kids make it to Tauna's house and hide and contact Dr. Chase. Before he can make it back, the creature attacks the house. When he arrives, he finds the house in ruins and believes the children are dead, but they come out of their hiding places. Chief Gibons soon arrives and Elizabeth tells him that the creature exists. He finally accepts the beast's existence. The Chief and Richland lead a hunt for the creature in the swamp. Dr. Chase goes with them and exposes Richland as one of the people present at the original event. He says how Richland's cover-up put people at risk. Richland threatens to kill him, but the Chief stops him. The creature attacks and kills Richland's men. The Chief falls into the water. But instead of saving him, Richland just watches hoping the creature will attack the Chief so he can kill it and finally settle his score. Dr. Chase rescues the Chief. The creature obliterates the bridge where Richland is standing. He falls into the water where the creature eats him. Dr. Chase and the Chief escape and make it back to town the next day.There, the chief is reunited with Elizabeth and finally understands and accepts Dr. Chase as a good man. Dr. Chase, Tall Man, Max, and Dr. Macy return to headquarters where Peniston is waiting. Dr. Macy realizes he was there. She angrily asks him why he did not kill the creature. Peniston replies that it was because they used his blood to help create it and that the creature is a part of him. They use Robin with a camera attached to her back to locate the creature. It locates the beast's lair, but before they can retrieve her, the creature attacks and the camera goes blank. Tall Man & Peniston enter the tunnel shortly after. Tall Man shoots at the creature but Peniston interferes. The creature injures Tall Man.Dr. Chase arrives and helps Tall Man escape, but are pursued by the creature. The creature quickly gains the upper hand and almost kills Chase. Max uses Peniston's sound device to destract the creature. It attacks him, but he uses a zipline to escape. Peniston takes the sound device and lures the creature into the pressure chamber. Dr. Chase locks them in and activates it, building greater and greater pressure. The creature kills Peniston. Chase allows the pressure to build up very high then smashes the window causing all the air to come out. This causes explosive decompression and the creature explodes, finally killing it. Later, the survivors walk into the sun set ready to board the boat, presumably to go back to town and never return to the island.
