
            In a city that lives in constant change, adaptation is always on the mind of San Franciscans, both young and old, new or native. These challenges come to life in SF STORIES -- a collaboration of five filmmakers from across the Bay Area who've witnessed years of change first hand. Through this collaboration, they've created a cycle of interconnected films that tell the story of this legendary American city inhabited by people from all walks of life. Psychedelic, haunting, hilarious, and honest encounters reveal itself like the sun breaking the city fog. From SOMA to The Sunset, the story weaves a tale of change that is as diverse as the city's history itself.Nina is new to the city, and her friend Mikey wants to lay its beauty bare before her, before they go to Burning Man together. Along the way we meet a Plato, a homeless man whose clever signs get him discovered as an "outsider" artist; Marwan, a public defender trying to lift his poet cousin Andy out of a deep depression with the Golden Gate Bridge looming in the background; Connie, a young tech temp worker who can't afford to live anywhere, and finds dates on Tinder to put a roof over her head on the weekends; and Mel, a wealthy young socialite, her hippie grandfather Ulysses, and Saadi, their immigrant event planner living together as an unlikely family-but torn apart by a marriage proposal.With elements of comedy, drama, and romance, in a city known for its heartbreaking beauty, SF Stories unfolds the city in the first quarter of the new century in a city where nothing can stay the same.
