Alexandra's varied career in film, TV, theatre and voiceover spans more than thirty years. She grew up in Norwich, Norfolk in England. From a very early age she studied all forms of dance at Laine Theatre Arts and then acting at Drama Studio, London. She moved to the US in 1989 and lived there for nearly two decades but now calls London and Suffolk her home. Her first film role was in Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) with Richard Dreyfuss. During her ten years living in Los Angeles, she landed a role in James Cameron's Titanic (1997) after researching the story and writing a monologue for her audition. After returning to the UK she played a series regular in the long running soap Coronation Street. In 2011 she was asked to direct a short film and caught the directing bug. Her award-winning short film Boxer on the Wilderness (2014) had a successful festival run and serves as a teaser for her feature screenplay The Wilderness. Alexandra wrote and directed her award-winning debut feature. Widow's Walk (2019) is set in Suffolk and stars Miranda Raison David Caves and Virginia McKenna.
